The point system is live We're slowly rolling out the point system. To see your points - just hover over your balance:

If you click the (?) button you should see something like this:

As noted - this number will change, as day progresses and it won't be too precise today since we don't yet have any history on points and their values. Currently, only signing up, writing articles and comments, visiting read.cash gives you any points. We'll be adding other actions soon. The point system has come to stay. I believe more actions and reward points will be added with time.

I have a suggestion for improvement. After the introduction of the points system, many very short posts will be written. I look at the new posts every day, but when I click on a post from the list and then see three sentences I find it a bit annoying. It would be useful if you would specify the number of words, characters or kB per post.

      ...and gets nothing for it 🤷‍♂️ It's not a new problem. We can't force people to write something long or short - they are free to write something as big or as small as they want. As soon as the number of articles will start to get too big we'll start filtering, dividing and personalizing. I mean you can upload an empty 2 second video to YouTube.. you sure can. It doesn't mean it will get tons of views :) same here. We're glad that people are writing. Maybe this same person will realize that 17 words articles aren't interesting to anyone... though maybe somebody's 17 words article would be a breaking story that is just incredible. So, yeah, filtering and personalization... until then there's the downvote button :)
