A waterfall is a rapid fall of water flowing naturally from a certain height. Waterfalls are generally regarded as one of the hallmarks of natural beauty.
Amritdhara is a natural waterfall located in the Koria district of the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. The waterfall is located 17 km from Churmari. The waterfall is ideally located on the Manendragarh-Baikunthpur road (NH 43). Amritdhara Falls is less than 90.0 feet (27.4 m) high and about 10.0-15.0 feet (3.0-4.6 m) wide.
Located in Kariya district, this Amritdhara waterfall is famous for a Shiva temple. A very famous fair is held in the place every year. This fair was started in 1936 by Raja Ramanuja Pratap Singh Jude. The fair is held here on the occasion of Mahashiv Ratri festival and millions of devotees visit the place during the fair.
