The village is a unit of settlement. It is a small settlement of human community mainly in agricultural areas. Where the communities live, agriculture is based on agriculture and various minor occupations (such as pottery or carpentry) are very common. Villages are usually located away from big cities or the capital. The village does not have such modern facilities as the city. For this reason zamindars and kings lived in the city but maintained relations with the village.
In ancient feudal society, agro-based villages were a source of revenue. Apart from farmers, a village is also inhabited by blacksmiths, potters, boatmen, scavengers and fishermen. The village was originally considered an autonomous area.
