Why holding them against their will?

Nothing makes more sense than when you have your freedom in any place you find yourself. Must one be forced to be in a union he/she does not want to? Does it worth fighting for or even killing anybody just because they want to be free and take their own destiny in their hands.

Before I express my thought and opinion on this and how I feel about this topic, I want you to know that I appreciate you so much for making out time to go through my post and make reasonable contributions so far that will help all of us in this platform to succeed, once again, thank you so much

The reason why this topic is generalized is because it cut across border and touches every aspect of human existence, it involves a person, groups and even countries of the world. Let me explain what I mean by cutting across border and touching every aspect of human existence.

PERSON

I believe that for one to be in a union with another person there must be a mutual agreement and acceptance in order for it to survive and also, there should be a balanced understanding and input from every corners of the parties involved and when such effort or agreement begins to have reasons for questioning, when the union starts to fall apart maybe because of known and unknown circumstances, it is generally accepted if one wants to be free from the relationship and stay on his or her own. One should not be emotionally blackmailed to keep staying in a relationship that is not safe or threaten his or her happiness and aspirations. Why you see most of this case waxing strong in our society today is because we have failed to tell ourselves the truth and fail to recognise that relationship with a person is never a DO or DIE thing. I always advocate and preach this gospel to young persons that I come across each day of my life.

GROUPS OF PERSON

Most persons and associations come together to form a team or a group in order to have a strong force to achieve what ever goal they want. Most a times these group of persons ideology, ethnic inclinations, tribes and beliefs maybe different from each other, but because they are pursuing a common goal, they drop their individual differences and beliefs just to achieve that set goal as a team. This group of persons may have rules and regulations, terms and conditions that may be guilding them to form a team and when a part of that group finds out that the agreement or rules and regulations guilding their togetherness as one body have been tampered and decides to pull out from the group, it is accepted that they have every right to leave the union without causing any trouble, so they should be allowed to go if they want to by the other parties involved not being forced to stay together as one. Like what is happening in some countries of the world today where some group of persons that are agitating for self determination to be on their own and the other party is saying NO that is not going to be possible to leave the union. For example, Biafran Agitations and Oduduwa Republic Agitators all in Nigeria, Ambazonians Agitation in Cameroon, Catalonians Agitation in Spain, etc.

COUNTRIES

So many countries of today have come to gathers to form unions which helps them to stand strong and wage war against forces that stand in their way, while some form these unions in order to use it to solve issues concerning the warfare, internal and external issues bordering their citizens of the countries involved in the union. For instance, the European Union, Economic Community of West Africa states, United Nations, Etc, these unions formed by different countries have their rules and regulations guilding them and when these rules are faulted or even broken at times, the countries involved can decide to pull off from the union through referendum as we saw in the case of Britain leaving the EU.

All of these issues are what we see today in our daily living as a person, group of persons and as a country. Now my questions;

Why holding them against their will?

Does it mean I will not have my freedom in peace if I decide that I don't want to be in a relationship or union with you any longer?

Does it mean these groups agitating for self determination and freedom can not have their request granted to them?

Does it mean it's only on the international level that one is free to leave their union without subjected to a fight or even war?

I believe we all need to find a way to solve this challenging issues confronting us as individuals, as a group of persons and as a country. We don't need to force ourselves to be in a relationship or union that does not give us equal right as persons to exercise our  freedom.

We should not allow sentiments to cloud our sense of judgement and reasonings as human beings to know that everybody who wants to be free should be given that hand of fellowship to be free without a fight.

We should not because of what people will say and how people will look at us tomorrow mortgage our lives to a union or relationship that bring us pain and sufferings all in a bit to cover up.

We should learn to speak out when we are not been treated fairly in a relationship or union we find ourselves.

Individuals and countries should be allowed to exercise their minds, opinions and thoughts and also allowed to take decisions that will bring peace, growth, love and progress to them.

Peace and mutual understanding is better than fightings and war! Give peace a CHANCE!
