Majority of us have studied a lot of books and different things to know God and we are actually really hungry to know more about God but I want to let you know something, the knowledge of the self is the knowledge of God.
Socrates a philosopher once said; "man know thy self and that an unexamined life is not worth living". But the problem over what he said is that he didn't explain to us how we can be able to come to the knowledge of ourselves, but for the day you will come to the knowledge of who you are, the day you come to the knowledge of yourself that is the day you have come to the knowledge of God, for the knowledge of self is the knowledge of God.
For God is the self, the self is the spirit, the spirit is the I am, the I am is one and that one is the I am who I am who himself is God. For one to know God simply means you have to accept that he created you in his own image and likeness and even God himself told us that "yeh are gods" according to psalms 82:6, that is to explain that when you know and understand yourself you have come to the knowledge of God.
Amongst all the living things God created he made man(human) to be special, unique and took aspect of God in his form. God called us his own and gave us the power to take charge of all the living things he created on earth and this has proven how God takes us in his heart as his own.
Now my question is; how well do you strive to know God? Since God has identified you as his own, how hard do you work to know God in return?. Remember that the topic I am sharing with you is "That I may know him, God."
Most of life situations and conditions we have seen in recent times have made man to really loose focus and track to the things that matters most in life, which is trying to be in good relationship with God and know him more. We are always having the urge to do those things that please our hearts rather than doing those things that please God. Because of so much insatiable desires and want by man, we have turned out eyes to those things that will make us have good relationship with God, we have hidden our hearts to that darkest secret place where no one, where no good words of love and kindness can penetrate, change and break in to find it so we can know God and be at peace with him.
Most people in life have because of so much high taste for material things taken it upon themselves to hurt their own selves, families and neighbours without having any remorse in their hearts, some have sold their conscience to the devil just to really achieve that thing their hearts desires. Families have gone their separate ways, having several fights and quarrels because they allowed their selfish desire for material things to come between the love they once shared.
Friends and good relationships torn apart because a lot of people have failed to pursue that knowledge about God and his existence. Human feelings, love and good conscience taken away from the hearts of men and women that supposed to live and care for one another.
All of these things happen because man have left the right way and begin to chase shadows. The world would have been a better place if we all irrespective of our religion, race, tribe, ethnicity, language, etc place the priority of knowing God and putting him first in all that we are to do in everyday of our lives. It makes more meaning and sense if we all will retrace our steps and approach to life and what it comes with, find a way to embrace the knowledge of him that created all things. It makes more sense if we will drop those ideas that we believe are the necessary things of life that makes life more meaningful when in actual sense they are those things that pushes us away from the truth about who God is.
Have you ever thought and wondered the existence of man and the world we live in?, have you ever asked yourself this question and ponder about the existence of God in its entirety? The holy book(bible) made us to understand in Proverbs 9:10 that "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." In otherwords, for you to know God and his existence you must have the fear of the lord in you, you must love God and your neighbors just as you love yourself. You must allow yourself to redefine and rediscover your own self to do those things that pleases God and by so doing you are getting the knowledge of God who made all things.
Do you know God? If you don't, please I urge you today to do your best to find him and reconnect yourself back to your maker because life begins and makes more meaning and sense when you know your God in truth and in spirit!
