The mindset that being old is bad is weird. Growing old is such a huge blessing that only a few will experience. Especially aging and getting wiser.

To be alive is one thing and to be living is another. But, to grow old is a rare and beautiful phenomena that only few can boast.

Getting wiser as you grow older is a blessing because of course you get wiser but you also get to achieve more things in life. Things such as being known for your work and contributions towards society. With age comes respect from society and from those around you.

1 out of every 4 people in the world is over the age of 50. Many people think being old is boring, stodgy and bland, but is that really the case? Change is inevitable, yet we cling to what we know best. We are all born as babies and grow into teens, then we go through our 20s, 30s and 40s, then comes 50 and 60, then 70s and 80s (sometimes a lot more!). While this happens our bodies change in different ways and we experience different feelings.

As you age, the things that used to seem so important seem less and less relevant. For example, there is no point worrying about what others think of you. The best way to make sure that people appreciate you is by being the best version of yourself. Not the version that is pretending to be something you're not. A lot of people pretend to be someone they're not just to fit in or impress others. They do it because they want to feel good about themselves. They want to feel good now, but nothing lasts forever. This is why it's better to work on becoming a better person for YOURSELF, not for others.

As we get older, we should acknowledge the beauty of growing old.

Here are tips on how to age gracefully and beautifully.

1. Realize that growing up is not all there is to life.

Growing up is a rite of passage into adulthood. But the truth is, growing up is only a part of life. The precious time that we have in this world is too short to spend it obsessing about getting older.

2. You're just fine as you are right now.

We all carry around unnecessary guilt, self-doubt and anxiety in our lives. You're just fine as you are right now, so forget about what you've done in the past and focus on the present moment.

3. Getting older doesn't make you less attractive, less advanced and less capable than the younger ones.

Getting older doesn't make you less attractive, less advanced and less capable than those who are younger than you.

Growing old is what all humans are going to experience. We’re born, we grow up and then, there comes a point where we start to get old.

This is something that we should all embrace. If you experience getting old for the first time, embrace it and don’t be scared of it, it goes away really fast after you accept it and keep reminding yourself that it’s okay to grow old. Keep doing everything that has made you happy so far, keep working out, keep taking care of yourself, keep being positive and don’t let anyone ever tell you otherwise because we’re all going to experience growing old.

Growing old is a blessing. It's a milestone that 1/3 of the world's population will never experience. But then, many say growing old is a bad thing.

"You're getting older," they say. "You're not as young as you were."

It's weird how we treat growing old as something negative. The ageing process is natural and undoubtedly necessary. Life is a cycle; life will always go on, and everyone gets old one day or another.

The people that realize this are in the minority. Most people live under the assumption that they're going to be young forever. The fact that they're not in control of their own lives scares them, so they make up excuses. They tell themselves that their age means their body is deteriorating, and their health is getting worse (when it's actually the other way around). They think getting old means they have to grow out of what makes them happy, and focus on what makes them unhappy.

My opinion

I want to get old. I want to grow old. I want to be wiser.

I want to learn how to love and how to be happy.

I want to be surrounded by people that I love.

I want to be surrounded by family.

I want to be healthy and have the best of health.

I don’t want my body to fail me at all.

This is my dream, this is my mindset of growing old.

I will still be a producer of great music and art, writer of award winning books, but I am looking forward to those days where I can sit and reflect on my work and enjoy it even more than my past works.

Yes, a lot of people are kind of afraid to grow old. In fact some are in-denial that they are already at that point, maybe its a stage having such crisis is probably part of life. But totally agree with you that reaching old age is a blessing.

Being get older we also becomes wiser because we have that called experience that allow us to stock knowledge. Yes, alot of us perceive that being old is a boring. For me we are happy for that because God allow us to reach a certain age that is called seniors hehe. I think when we reach that age we should focus to our spiritual matters cause we want our fate secure.
