Cut your coat according to your size

Back in the day, when I was a kid, growing up my mother used to tell me "cut your coat according to your size". In other words, don't put yourself in a situation that you'll struggle.

It's good advice for anyone. We all have limitations and we should respect them and not go beyond what we can handle.

It's hard to apply that advice when you're young and feel like you can conquer the world. However, as you get older, there are a lot of things you shouldn't do because they don't make sense.

A man needed a coat so he went to the tailor. He said, "I want a coat that will last forever and cost no more than one dollar." The tailor-made a coat out of thin air. It looked awful but the man put it on and when he asked how much it cost he was told it was free. He went out and it rained and the thin air coat melted like sugar and disappeared. The man came back to the tailor and demanded another coat." I don't want to pay for a coat that will dissolve in rain," he said. "I want a coat that will last forever and cost no more than one dollar." The tailor, who was a magician, took him at his word. He gave him a coat that looked like wood and would stand alone in a hurricane. It weighed a ton, as hard as iron and cost $1,000.

At first, he attempted to piece his coat together using the leftover pieces of cloth from his worn-out garment. However, the new coat turned out to be a bit long and slender for him.

The next day, he tried to sew more pieces of cloth into the coat, but it still didn't fit him. So, he went back to the place where he bought the worn-out garment and bought another used coat that was close to his size and then sewed them both together. When he wore it, the coat looked a bit odd because the collar of the new coat was much larger than its sleeves.

So many people are burdened with unnecessary heavyweights, heavy luggage, heavyweights, unnecessary oversize coats. They are doing more than they can handle. We are to cut those unnecessary burdens.

We are to help people who are trying to carry more than they need. What is the best way to cut your coat according to your size?

We have people who are going through a lot of crises and we need to help them.

So many people today carry more weight than they should. They carry more than they can handle and that is not good for their health.

When you cut the cloth according to your size, it will not only be just enough for you, but it will add to your beauty and value. When you cut a garment according to the measure you have, even if it is small, it will fit you. If it is large, it will be excessive and useless.

So the saying "cut your coat according to your size" has become a proverb to remind us that we should adjust ourselves to our environment and social conditions to succeed. We should not attempt things that are beyond our reach. If we cut our cloth according to our size, it will not only be just enough for us but also add to our beauty and value.

Every person has his responsibilities and needs and every person has his own capabilities. Some people do things beyond their capabilities while some people limit themselves to the responsibilities they can fulfil.

I think we will know when we should do things beyond our capabilities after we will understand and realize the limits of our capability and not just "our abilities". Actually, it is not a matter of abilities but a matter of capabilities (what can you do and what you are capable of).

In this modern world, everyone is busy in their own life. Many people are worried about their careers and businesses and for this reason, they prefer to cut their coats according to the size of their bodies. They never do beyond their capabilities.

Although there are many things in life which we can not do but if we will try to do that then it will make our life easier. If a person makes a mistake then they can learn from their mistakes and then they would not repeat that mistake anymore.

In order not to overdo it and do not burden yourself with unnecessary things, you should have the ability to cut a coat according to your size.

If you do not have the strength to fight, it is better not to get into the fight at all, otherwise, you will suffer from defeat. And if you are not a good wrestler, then you should give up wrestling.

And in the same way, if you do not have a gift for some profession or business and do not have the skill necessary for its implementation, then you need to look for something else. Otherwise, you will spend much time and effort on something useless.

Once you understand what your abilities are and what is beyond your capabilities, you can start shaping your life.

In this case, the most important thing is to know yourself and find out what you are really capable of, only after this can you go on a path that leads toward your goal.
