There are more and more cars with the Isofix fastening system, and they even promise that it will soon be a mandatory option to fasten a child seat in all new cars.
WHAT IS ISOFIX?
Isofix is a system for attaching child car seats to cars that have places for isofix attachment. Car seats that use the isofix fastening system are one step ahead of the others in terms of safety, which of course has to be paid for. The fastening system allows a firm connection between the seat and the car body. Some cars allow the ISOFIX to be attached to the side rear seats and the front passenger seat if the front passenger airbag is deactivated. When the child outgrows the baby seat, you can install a child seat with an isofix child restraint system weighing 9 to 18 kg on the same mounting frame in the car.A child weighing more than 18 kilograms must be protected by a system attached to the car body (with a seat belt - just like an adult).
The photo shows the Isofix anchors in the car.
It is a standardized fastening system that allows the child seat to be installed in the car quickly, firmly and, above all, without installation errors. The child safety seat has special guides, and in the body of the car there are special buckles (under the seat back) into which the seat is pushed.
In this system, the child seat is on a special base, which is stuck in the grooves in the frame (chassis) of the car. For even more stability in the car, some isofix seats have been given a 'leg' that reaches to the floor in the car, while others have a belt that runs from the top of the seat to the rear attachment (on the seat or in the boot). The advantage of the isofix seat is that it can also be used in cars that do not allow such attachment. Like other child seats, it can be fastened with a three-point seat belt.
Isofix provides exceptional safety in all types of collisions, especially in the event of a side impact. The child seat does not tip over, slide forward. It is summarized according to the American Standard (NHTSA); the so-called Top Tether. This is, to put it simply, an additional strap with which we fasten the safety seat in the upper part so that it does not swing.
What is the advantage of Isofix? When attaching child car seats to a car with seat belts, it is often the case that the installation of the car seat is defective or even incorrect - statistics show that more than 60% of seat belts are incorrectly or poorly fastened, and isofix reduces this percentage to less than 5%!

Love you all.@@Purebeauty.
I didn't even know that there was such a system for attaching child car seats. In addition to well-adjusted seats, it is also important for the child to have a comfortable seat, so that they do not turn around and look for a suitable position in the middle of driving.
