Ciao amori miei! (Hi my lovelies!) I'm trying to be Italian here since I'm fond of their language. I actually tried to memorize some of their basic words way back then but unfortunately I stopped and now I totally forget almost everything.
So, anyway, I was watching a Filipino movie last time entitled ``Cara X Jagger", this is actually a good movie and of course adding the plot and moral lesson of the story. It's all about a girl who has Hyperthymesia.
Are you familiar with this? Does it ring a bell? This is a rare condition where a person can remember everything that happens in her/his life and is also known as highly superior autobiographical memory (HSAM).
In the story, Cara remembered every detail that seems like it just happened yesterday. She had a boyfriend but unfortunately got into an accident and forgot everything they shared, whether their special place, special occasion and worst is he forgot that he had a girlfriend. Who wouldn't feel hurt when the person you love doesn't remember you at all?
Do you wish to have that too? What I mean is that the condition wherein you can remember even the tiniest experience you had. Whether we accept it or not we forget something too, just like where we put the ballpen where in fact it's in our hand or finding where the Ray-Ban is when it's actually over the head.
What is worse about the experience of Cara is when she saw her boyfriend kissing another woman, before his memory was lost in a motorcycle accident, yes you read it right. Having that ability is like a curse too, she can remember what time she saw them, the place and the pain that she's into. Vivid information is accurate and keeps on hunting her even in her dreams. Jagger's grandfather recruits Cara to help her grandson regain her memories. Reluctantly, she accepts the job and is forced to experience both happy and sad memories with a man she still has feelings for. Though she's too mad at her ex-boyfriend, she had no choice but to help him since his grandfather asked her to do so. Day by day she told him about who he really was, from his parents to his childhood memory. Adding their stories, how they met, the time when they rode a train, their perfect spot and of course the special place when they had their first kiss. Every single detail she recalls even the moment she saw him kissing another woman. Seems like having a time machine, going back and forth.Until the day came that Jagger's memories are all set. His amnesia is totally gone. I can feel the pain that is painted over Cara's face, her emotions, how she acts and the journey that she is on. This teleserye has a perfect scenario, the seemingly dissonant tandem of an unforgettable girl and a boy who craves for memory provides an opportunity for deep observation of both the nature of love and the complexity of reconciliation.
This is starring Jasmine Curtis Smith as Cara, Ruru Madrid as Jagger and Dante Rivero as Jagger's grandfather.
I realized that having that condition is a blessing and a curse too. A blessing because we can't forget anything, everything is accurate but it's a curse in the fact that even failure, disappointment and pain can readily be remembered. That life seems like a hell for me and I wish to have that one. It's better to forget something than being haunted by bad experiences.

According to the scientists, we only capable of using 10% of the brain. But humans do less of it. The more you use it, the more the person may have the ability. She has that power.
