Who is the suspect?

Now, at the count of three, tell me the truth, "who killed Lilian?" Oga! I don talk the truth (meaning Sir, I have said the truth) I don't know what happened. I was at my duty post and wasn't allowed to enter to celebrate with them. Na me dey open gate for people to come in (I was the one opening the gate for people coming in). The officer tried to interrogate to know the culprit but it seems all his efforts to make the security man confessed was futile. Hey, officer, take him back to the cell, he isn't ready to say the truth.

FLASHBACK........

Lilian is the only daughter of Chief Williams. Lilian's mum died during labour when they were operating on her, she couldn't give birth normally and CS was the only option. After bringing out the baby, she gave up the ghost without seeing her daughter. Not even a word to her husband.

Chief Williams took up the responsibility to take care of his daughter and refused to re-marry because of the love he had for his wife. He has vowed to love his daughter and send her to the best school.

Lilian was loved by everyone in the house including the security man. She was awarded the best student in her class when she was in Senior Secondary School, and her dad was so proud of her.

Mr Williams tried his best to send her to the tertiary institution to read law as this was her dream to become a lawyer. Her dad tried his best on her to make sure her dream comes to reality.

After years of studying law in the school, she graduated with first class. This made Chief Williams to pick a date to celebrate the success and achievement of his daughter in the house. Lilian was so happy and couldn't wait for the day to come so she can celebrate with her Dad and friends.

It was an early morning, Lilian was crying inside her room when her dad walked up to her. He asked what the matter was and she started "Dad, how I wish Mom is here with us. I know she struggled to stay alive but she couldn't. I still can't imagine mom won't be here to celebrate with her beautiful daughter. Dad, it keeps hurting me. If I had the power then, I would have made her stay with us".

Her dad patted her back and rested her head on his shoulder. It's okay dear, God understands everything. Ever since she died, I have been there for you. I made sure you went to the best school. I took care of you and never married any other woman because I don't want anyone to maltreat you. Your mom is happy in heaven seeing your success and you have made her proud. Trust me, your mom, my wife is smiling in heaven. It's okay Darling. She wiped her tears and went downstairs to meet Blessing.

Blessing is the maid who takes care of the house and cooks for the family. She has two children (boy and girl) who are still young and are in the primary school. The salary she collects from Chief Williams is the one she uses to cater for herself and children. Chief never stops giving her some stipends and most times, when she is going home at night, she will always pack some foods home to her Children. She resumes duty at 7am daily.

Good morning Mrs Blessing, Good morning my dear. How was your night? It was fine ma. What are you preparing for breakfast? She asked and Blessing quickly told her White Rice with Chicken Sauce. Lilian couldn't wait to munch the food in her mouth as she assisted her to make it quick.

The food was ready and Mr Williams and Lilian ate at the dining table while Mrs Blessing entered into the kitchen to continue with what she was doing.

The day finally came. Lilian already invited her two friends and boyfriend. They all were happy to celebrate with Lilian. Mr Williams too didn't fail to invite some renowned men to come rejoice with him over his daughter's achievement. Everywhere was bubbling with music. The whole place was filled with tents, chairs and were all decorated. The security man couldn't enter as he was doing his duty by opening the gate for everyone coming in.

Mrs Blessing was in the kitchen cooking while Lilian was busy looking for the best outfit for herself upstairs. She has got everything ready. Her dad was downstairs making some calls when his daughter's friends came in. They greeted each other and went inside.

After some minutes, Gloria (one of Lilian's friend) excused herself to use the toilet and she was directed upstairs. The others were downstairs waiting for the party to start off. The maid went upstairs to take something not long after.

Gloria came back from the toilet while Mrs Blessing resumed back to the kitchen (unknown to both of them). Everyone were dancing when Chief Williams went upstairs to call his daughter. Suddenly, they heard him scream "Lilian, No, somebody help me". Everything went silent including the visitors, they all ran upstairs to check what was going on when they saw Chief grabbed his daughter and sat on the floor. She was in a pool of blood. They couldn't rush her to the hospital because she was already dead. The house was turned upside down, everyone couldn't believe what just happened. Everywhere was in chaos when all of a sudden, Mr Williams went downstairs and ordered the security man to lock the gate and not allow anyone to go out. He quickly put a call through to the police and within ten minutes, they arrived and arrested everyone including the security himself.

The first to be interrogated was the security man. Who killed Lilian? Asked the police officer but he couldn't say anything to be of truth.
