Has It Gotten To This?
**Has it gotten to this?** What a statement!
What you get when you aren't pleasing someone or when their expectations are being cut off.
A few days @blezyn made an article talking about **debts and the debtors** https://peakd.com/@blezyn
Is is the debt or the debtor https://peakd.com/hive-190212/@blezyn/is-it-the-debt-or-the-debtor
And it's sad because 80% of what she said is true and I couldn't help but write about this as well.
I am pained when debtors pick a fight simply because they can't pay back their debts.
Its disheartening and such actions can make one promise or vow not to render help where or when necessary again.
It is said that one bad experience can change anyone if care isn't taken.
Some situations can cause people to change their hearts about certain things.
Especially in the case of rendering help in one way or the other whether in cash or kind.
I have been a victim of debtors picking a fight/argument simply because I demanded my money back.
The saddest one among them all is one that happened with a friend four to five months ago I guess.
My Story
Five months ago, I had this friend who reached out to me to help her out with cash. I never had the money, and I felt really bad that for the first time she was asking me for help, I couldn't render it. Though it was painful and sad but I had to tell her the truth that I don't have the money.
She said it was okay if I didn't have it. She said she was going to get it from another source.
After a few weeks or months, I guess. The same friend came to me again asking for yet another help also money-related. This time I had a few bucks to spare. And immediately she mentioned it, I asked for her account details and sent the money to her. The joy of being able to help someone is premium.
At that time I was so glad that I didn't turn her down the second time but I was able to render the help.
She gave me a date she was going to return the money and I was okay with it.
In the coming weeks, I didn't hear or see anything forthcoming. I didn't call her or bother her about it. Days passed and weekends passed, still nothing from her. I patiently waited till a month and still nothing from her. On a normal day, I wouldn't have asked her until she was ready to freely give back the money she borrowed but then I had a dying need and I needed the cash as soon as possible.
I called this friend to ask for the money and she told me she was going to send me in a few hours. I waited but there was still nothing coming from her, so I called her again but she wasn't picking my calls either returning the calls. At this point, I was frustrated and angry at the same time.
I mean this was someone desperate for help and immediately I rendered the help but she couldn't do the same when I needed it. I was sad and I was disappointed, I had to look for other means to solve the issues I had with money.
And even after that day, she couldn't call or do anything about it. Days passed and I decided to ask her about it again, I was mad that I ranted but to an extend. And could you imagine what she said to me?
***Has it gotten to this?...***
Has it gotten to what? For crying out loud who would be happy about such a thing? Who would smile and shine teeth about such a disheartening incident?
She said she was going to refund my money, I didn't disturb myself about it again and since then until now she hasn't been able to refund all my money and I promised myself I wasn't going to ask her about it anymore and I have kept to that promise till this day.
I just pray I still find the courage to lend people money although I have had many bad experiences with it.
They say one bad experience should make us bad or have a change of heart but honestly that experience changed my thinking about lending people money and not just that experience. There are many more I don't wanna mention or talk about.
All I can say is that I have learned my lesson and I will not do anything to please any one or exonerate myself from being the bad girl for not helping.
Happy Lord's Day readers and supporters!
I trust you guys are having a great day so far. I wish you all a very bless new week.
Thanks for stopping by today to read from me. Your thumbs, comments and reblog are appreciated as always.

Quick Money?
How sad!
I woke up today and decided to check out recent news and updates online.
I bumped into an article about a young man who just got burnt to death.
And what was his crime? He was an armed robber. Maybe his game didn't play out well this time around, he was caught and was burnt to ashes.
The saddest truth about the whole story is that the guy is from a well-to-do family and you can say the parents are rich.
So one would ask, what could a child of a rich parent be doing with a gun, dagger, and weapon confiscating things from poor innocent people?
What could he possibly gain from doing that?.
According to the article written by one of the family members, his case wasn't really normal. They believe it was more of a spiritual matter and that they have tried all they could to make the young man to refrain from his bad acts/ways and turn a new leaf but all to no avail.
It can be so sad to watch your very own blood being burnt to ashes.
The excruciating pain, the cold pool of blood.
How do humans even take pleasure in setting fire to a fellow human being like them? Burning up their skull and watching it turn to ashes?
Quick Money?
I can't really say what this is because the young guy wasn't even poor in the first place.
He wasn't from a poor family or background.
So it can't be said that it's poverty that pushed him to that wrong gang or that he wanted a **quick money** that he didn't even sweat for.
This goes as far as telling us how much humans are suffering, some from things they have no idea about.
Some from generational curses and so on.
And for people that don't believe in all these things, what would you call this?
Peer group influence or pressure? Well, I agree it can also be a factor but is that really all there is to this? Or to such or similar story? I doubt.
If one could say other than a quick-money, this is more spiritual or a curse, I could think twice about it.
Anyway, we are entitled to our opinions so let's know what you think about this matter or case
Thank you faithful ones for visiting my blog post today, I appreciate the time you engage my post with an upvote, comment, and support.

Pranks Do Go Wrong
If we are really current about what is going on these days on our social media we will admit that **Pranks** is taking the order of the day.
Youtube is filled with so many people, friends, couples, and even family pulling pranks and having fun while selling on their channels.
A few days ago, I realized it has gone down to Facebook too.
I wouldn't lie, some of those videos of pranks are fun to watch, it makes one laugh and forgets their worries and stress.
And most times when I am too stressed for the day, I go surfing the internet for short clips, videos, and more, and in the process, I always bump into these prank videos.
I have seen recent ones on the Facebook video panel that I don't even need to go surfing Youtube most times.
I bumped into a really disturbing one a few days ago and it got me wondering.
I don't wanna sound so judgmental and I never lied about enjoying those pranks and watching them do it.
A wife can decide to prank her husband and vice versa, likewise the children on their parents and vice versa.
But there is this particular prank video that I watched that wasn't settling so well with me and for the fact that it wasn't just some kind of prepared prank video but a **live video**
I know it's fun to have fun and catch cruises but is it applicable to all things? All areas of our life?
Take, for example, one of the prank videos I watched a lady pranking her husband with her flow (monthly cycle).
She made a live video prank on her husband as if she was on her flow and then her husband was trying to end the video thinking she was actually seeing her period for real and he was worried about her and letting the world see his wife while she is having her menstrual flow.
After much dragging, the wife suddenly told her husband it was a prank. That she used the hot sauce on her laps to make it look like her period.
The husband was already dead worried and trying to clean her up away from the live video.
She laughed and had so much fun with her viewers while her husband was upset telling her that the level of the prank was too high for her to make a live video and pretending to see her monthly period.
It took a well and lots of apologies from the wife and even the viewers for the husband to forgive her for pranking him with such a serious matter and in such an intense way.
When Prank Go Wrong
I know we love fun and we love playing tricks and being mischievous but some matters shouldn't be played with.
There are certain things we shouldn't trick people about.
We can have all the fun we want and catch all the cruises but we should be able to detect what things we should prank people and those we shouldn't ever think of doing.
I also recall a scenario that a fellow worker, friends actually, told his colleague that his wife got into an accident but it was just a prank yet the caused the young man to faint.
For crying out loud how would you use your mouth to proclaim bad things and misfortune for other people all in the name of prank?
Words are powerful, our tongue is a powerful weapon so we should always be careful what we say and how we use it less we destroy another person's life unconsciously.
I am thankful that the young man's wife didn't get into any trouble and then the other guys tried to revive and resurrect the young guy who fainted after receiving the bad new prank about his wife's accident.
No matter how harmless pranks may appear to us, we should always be careful with what we say, do, or what we joke and play about.
Pranks do go wrong and it's not always a good one.
There should be a certain level to the things we joke about or tend to have fun and cruise about.
We shouldn't take things lightly because we don't know what would happen the next second.
We can't be joking about everything and trying to trick people with everything.
Some things are not to be joke about no matter how much fun we wish or want to have.
Please let us be more mindful and careful with what we play about.
Social media is a place to have fun but we have had many dramatic situations already and this new prank game shouldn't add to it.
**Play wisely!**
**Prank with caution!**
**Lead a happy and peaceful life!**
So guys what do you think about the situation of the lady I mentioned earlier?
Do you find it funny that she did what she did and got the husband all worried?
What about the second prank? What is your say on that one too? Pranking their friend about his wife's accident which made the man faint.
What can you say about the two cases? I have stated my view on this and I would love to also hear from you guys what you think.
So head over to the comment section and let's talk, shall we?
Thank you for visiting my blog today and reading my post. I appreciate your time. I welcome your comment and your upvote will be very much appreciated too.

What's Your Favorite Genre?
I don't mind answering this one question over and over again and even in my next life, the answer would probably be the same.
I could stay up hours, cleaved to my screen, with my eyes balls popping out so wide so far it's my favorite genre.
Yes, you know you can be so crazy about a particular thing, or should I call it an obsession or even an addiction?
You love something so much that nothing can stand in the way of it.
When I said Favorite Genre, I was very careful and intentional not to mention what I was talking about.
You know it can be your favorite music genre, your favorite book genre, your favorite movie genre, and so on.
But today we will be talking about your favorite movie genre and if you can also tell me why or give reasons why it's your favorite, then go on, there is no harm in doing that okay?
**My Favorite Movie Genre**
Here we go again!
I mentioned loving cartoons and animations, anything fun and adventurous somewhere some days ago but nothing beats my love for K-dramas.
I mean Korean dramas or movies if that's what you choose to call it.
I can't even finish the list even if I wanted to.
I started watching Kdramas for as long as I can remember and nothing has beaten my love for those dramas even till now.
My reasons for loving them aren't far-fetched or maybe I just don't have a valid reason but I love everything about them. From their language to their intonation, their voice, their dress sense, the sharpness of their film production, high quality, top-notch. One that entices you to wanna watch, I give it up to them for such film quality.
Many times I ask why other movies industries can't take after them with high-quality layouts and everything.
But well, who knows what they do to have such awesome and quality production.
Well, maybe we have a few K-dramas lovers here and I will love to list a few of the most interesting K-dramas I have seen.
My Favorite Collections

And so many more I can't even remember the names. Like I am a big fan of K-dramas, I am crazy about it lol.
If a lot of books can just be acted out like K-dramas, I would be most delighted 😂😂🤭
Not the normal, and boring kinda most of the movies I watched by mistake hahaha.
I wouldn't mind going on with the list but I had to stop and ask if there is anyone that has watched any of the ones in my list. I am sure they are people especially most of the people that are crazy about K-dramas as much as I.
So tell me guys, is there any K-drama you've seen and isn't on this list?
Was it worth it? Do you mind sharing it with me? I will certainly check it out🤭
And again don't forget to tell me your favorite movie genre and why you like them even if it's not K-dramas. Don't be shy, come on let's hear you🙂
Now speaking of K-dramas makes me wanna watch more.
I know I will check out a few new ones after now and update my unfinished list lol.

Saving Clark
***Wake up Clark***
***Clark! Clark! Clark!***
***Clark? No no please get up, will you? Don't do this, (almost sobbing)***
***No Clark, we need you now more than ever.***
***Our pack isn't complete without you***.
Mia couldn't hold back the hot tears that fell down her cheeks as she transformed.
Clark is the one true person she was very close to and now he was fighting to live after embarking on the life-death journey.
Mia and Clark are from the same pack of werewolves. They are six in numbers all with different magical and special powers.
They are stronger in the pack than individually so they did everything they could to ensure that everyone is safe whenever they are out there in the field fighting some bad guys.
Unfortunately this time, they missed their focus when Clark was in grave trouble and needed their help.
Mia personally felt she had let down Clark for not being there for him even after promising to do that.
More than that, she was upset with herself for not being able to protect the one person that truly cared for her more than any other person in their pack. She was sad, broken, hurt, and devastated.
She rushed out carrying Clark on her back home hoping that he survived the fatal attack.
She got to their domain and laid Clark on the large wooden table they use for their medical treatments and check-ups.
She gathered all the herbs and potions she could think of that could heal the deep wound that was left on Clark's right chest.
While she was running helter-skelter and trying to make Clark wake up, Clark let out a loud cough trying to call out to her.
She ran down to squeeze the juice from the herbs into his open wound and pressed in the leftover mixture.
She was weeping while doing this.
Clark held her hands and tried speaking but couldn't utter many words.
He told her that he wouldn't make it even if she was to use all their herbs and potions on him.
Mia wanted to try at least, she didn't want to lose Clark. She was not just ready to risk that.
Clark let out a loud shout almost transforming into a wolf.
He couldn't hold on much longer, so he grabbed Mia's palms when she was about to turn over and get him a glass of water to sip.
Clark shook his head and told her not to that he wasn't gonna make it or survive.
He placed his palms inside hers and left her one of the things they both kept close to each other's hearts.
The enchanted, magical necklace that was passed down by Mia's parents.
Clark apologized for letting go and leaving her behind earlier than they both imagined.
He told her that she did her best to keep the whole pack together and safe even when luck and fate weren't on his side. He told her he was going to gladly die if it meant he was dying for a good purpose and that was protecting his fellow brothers and sisters especially Mia who he cared very much for and took interest in for years back when she was still very young.
Mia couldn't take it anymore so she told him to stop talking and save his energy to die peacefully since he didn't want to stay with her. She was sad and upset that Clark didn't have a little bit of hope or faith that he could survive it.
She sobbed until she passed out on Clark's wounded body.
The other members of the pack couldn't do anything about the situation. They were all sad and cold. None could do anything to help.
They were all talking when Mia passed out and wish they could help Clark. While they were speaking and feeling sorry for the two, Diana, one of the smartest among them suggested something that could help save Clark's life.
She laid out her plans and idea and everyone bought the idea and believed it could work.
All four werewolves joined hands together surrounding both Mia ad Clark. They all muttered magical words and chants. This continued for more than 5 minutes until Mia woke up and was surprised to see all sisters and brothers joining hands around them.
She was astonished by what was happening.
None of them realized what was going on because all their eyes were closed.
Only Mia saw everything. And with their magic, each one of them transferring their healing power and ability to Clark and slowly he started receiving his healing.
When they were done with the chants, all of them fell to the ground. They were weakened by all the energy and the power they had exhausted and forced out of their bodies to help save Clark.
Clark, according to them was someone they couldn't risk losing so they all agree to use part of their strength and gift to save him.
Clark woke up after an hour and some minutes. Mia was so happy that he embraced him crying so loud and all the other sisters and brothers hugged each other and were very glad that they could help save Clark.
***The End...***

What Does Freedom Mean To Me?
Image https://pixabay.com/photos/dove-hand-trust-god-pray-prayer-3426187/
Tell me you have never for once envisioned or thought of the **Birds** whenever the word **Freedom** is mentioned.
If you say no you haven't then I may have to rethink and ponder on it.
Could it be that I am the only one that feels or think that way? But if I am the only one that thinks that way, what happens to the phrase we often hear; ***as free as a bird?***.
We know majority has come to accept that the only animal that seems free or has tasted a great part of freedom is the birds.
Though we might for some reason don't wanna agree with me but that's exactly what it is and could ever be.
We feel because the birds are flying up there and looking free without any forces hindering their moment that that is really what **Freedom** is or feels like.
That some of us even wish we had wings to stretch out and fly. But do we really think that **freedom** is about flying? Or about not being hindered by anything? Perhaps an opposing force?
And if I wanna get all educational and civil we know the kinds of freedom we have, such as freedom of speech, freedom of movement, freedom to vote and be voted for, freedom to marry, and start a family.
There are many types of freedoms and having looked at these few I mentioned.
You might be tempted to agree with me that there is a part of freedom I mentioned there which includes what the birds do?
And that is ***freedom of movement***
Perhaps why we think the birds have more freedom than we do is because they are free to move to anywhere they wish to move to.
But we as humans are constraint to particular confinement or place.
And so because of this, we think we are not experiencing the kind of freedom we want or desire.
**What Does Freedom Mean To Me?**
Well, to me freedom means so many things. Beyond the ability to move or go anywhere it pleases me without being stopped or hindered, I see freedom as a form of power and authority.
A man who has tasted freedom has tasted power and authority. Such that he can do anything at any given time without anyone stopping him.
So in order words, **Freedom** to me means **Power**
For growing adults, when we are given freedom, it means we are given power. We can do and undo. We make our own choices and decide what to do and what not to do. This is what freedom is, this is what power feels like.
Those in the authorities feel the same way because they have the power to do whatever it is that so pleases them, to them also this is what freedom is, it is power and authority.
**Freedom** is right. A person who knows his or her rights as a human being, as a citizen, and even as an heir is free.
You can only be a slave to what you don't know. When you are ignorant about a particular thing, you become a slave to it.
Some people aren't aware of their rights, as such, they become slaves to themselves, and the people around them, and even to society at large.
When you know your rights then freedom becomes yours as well.
Freedom can mean anything to anyone. It can be associated with anything and described based on individual perspectives and views on the subject matter.
And if you are also given the opportunity to tell others what freedom means to you, what would it be? Kindly share your points and views on this matter with us as well.
I am very glad to have bumped into this writing challenge by @JonicaBradley It gives me so much joy and satisfaction to write about this topic and give me thoughts on what freedom really means to me
All the same, thank you for spending your time on my blog post, your thumbs up, comments, and reblog can go a long way to encourage the writer ;)

Atelophobia ~ Fear Of Imperfection
Image https://pixabay.com/illustrations/fear-woman-crack-notch-furrow-615989/
Ever heard of the word **Atelophobia?**
I bet some of us weren't aware of what that is called.
Atelophobia is the fear of not being good enough or not doing something right. And in other words, it's the fear of **Imperfection**
A lot of us have associated with this or welcome it. I mean you know that feeling of wanting to do everything right, of being perfect in all you do? You know that feeling of always wanting to do everything right or the right way.
But most times this isn't the case or the result. And because of this, many developed this inward fear of their inability or imperfection.
Initially, I used to be afraid of failure, I never welcomed it in any way so if I was doing anything or taking up any challenge, then I was all out to get it or face it head-on. I don't like losing, it's never my thing to lose so unconsciously I started being afraid of failure and never wanted to lose in anything I do.
But growing up, I realized that failure isn't always about what we can or cannot do.
It wasn't about the things we could accomplish or make a name for.
Failure simply taught me that either I wasn't doing something right or I wasn't giving it my best shot. So after realizing this, I wasn't really afraid of failures anymore.
If I gave my best shot in whatever it is I did, then there was no point in being afraid of losing or of failure. But if I didn't give it my best ability then I have to leave up to the consequences and not because I couldn't do that thing or handle that task but just because I didn't give it my best effort or energy.
ATELOPHOBIA
Etymologically, the word atelophobia is comprised of two Greek words: the prefix Atelo(s) means imperfect and the post-fix phobia means fear. Thus, the word atelophobia quite literally means they fear being imperfect. People with atelophobia often suffer and can develop debilitating depression or anxiety when their perceived expectations do not match reality.
A person suffering from such worries too much about what she is doing right or wrong. He or she is constantly afraid of being judged.
Of eating, writing, or even speaking wrongly.
But the sad truth too is that, they make unreachable goals of perfection.
And when that happens, the person is left feeling miserable and useless, and ineffective in his or her life.
The person suffering from Atelophabia progressively loses more and more self-confidence and self-esteem, reinforcing the belief that he or she can never do anything right.
Though most people with atelophobia are at least as intelligent and as talented as other people in society, their abilities and potential are masked by the fear of failure and not good enough. These individuals often choose not to compete with anyone, nor do they wish to accept challenges. They politely defer to others, fearing that there is no way that they will succeed anyway.
Ways To Overcome Atelophobia
For every disorder, disability or challenge, there are always ways of tackling it, dealing with it, or solving it.
There is always a solution for every problem. So I will share a few things to do or how to overcome Atelophobia.
**Discover Or Find The Root Of Your Fear**
This is pretty much the very first thing to do.
You have to know or discover the root or source of something to be able to deal with it or tackle it.
It is very important to know this because the earlier and better you know and understand the root or source of your fear, the easier it is to overcome it.
**Never Use Self-Depreciating Language**
The earlier you realize that people accept or take you for who you say you truly are, the better you would know that you had better stop saying depreciating things about yourself and start appreciating every little thing about you.
You have to start believing in your words when you communicate them to people.
Words like *I think..., I was hoping..., I don't know if I am wrong, but...,* these are words you should do well to get rid of.
Start working with more confidence and people will start taking your words for what it is
**Love Yourself For Who You Are**
If there is anything you love about yourself, then please always remember to spell it out and keep telling yourself that you are good and reminding yourself that you can't be perfect by knowing everything.
Simply appreciate yourself for the things you know.
Sometimes you don't feel good enough because you are busy comparing yourself to others, please don't do this. Try as much as you can to eliminate such a habit.
**Celebrate Your Successes**
We oftentimes only celebrate the big things that happen to us or our huge successes forgetting the tiny ones.
Every slight thing achieved or accomplished should be celebrated. Yes, celebrate your successes because this can go a long way to boosting your self-confidence and reminding you of how good you are at whatever you do.
Confidence will turn your thoughts into action, and that action will help you achieve anything you set your mind to.
There are many other ways of fighting or overcoming Atelophobia other than the few I highlighted or listed here.
If you are suffering from Atelophobia or you know someone who is, then, please kindly help them out by telling them all about it and why they should tackle it before it consumes them.
No one is perfect so I also believe no one should be afraid of imperfection.
If you have learned anything in this article or find it educative or informative then do give it a thumbs up, a reblog and a good comment on it is also welcome.
Thanks for your time on my blog. It is greatly appreciated.

Letting Go
Image https://pixabay.com/photos/woman-boat-sky-sunset-waters-dusk-3214594/
I couldn't think of anything else or anyone else.
No matter what I did or what people said, I wasn't going to like any other person.
Dennis had a way of leaving his memories with me everywhere I go. It felt like the whole city was encrypted with his scent or something to remind me of him
The relationship couldn't work for some reason but I was also finding it very difficult to forget him or let him be.
I don't think I have ever felt deeply for someone like I did for Dennis.
He captured my heart in a way I couldn't understand. Though I regret not letting him know earlier but now I can't do anything about it cause he has already moved on.
When I found out about Dennis's girlfriend, I was sad and broken but I really couldn't blame him or blame anyone because the poor guy didn't even know I liked him to that extent. Perhaps he knew I liked him but only as a friend and nothing other than that.
I tried telling him many times but the perfect timing wouldn't just play out for me so I had to put my feelings for him aside for the good of our friendship.
And the best way I believe to have done that is leaving the city where Dennis is. But having come here, everything still reminds me of him.
Dennis called to know if I had arrived safely.
I was a bit surprised when I got his calls because I wasn't expecting them.
I intentionally didn't tell him about my journey but I guess he still found out from my mom and I know sooner or later he is gonna ask me why I suddenly had to leave without even saying anything to him
Well, I had to do this, for my sanity and also to save our friendship.

Melissa ~ How Do I Forgive?
Image https://pixabay.com/photos/family-mom-daughter-baby-teen-3817043/
All I ever wanted was a home.
All my life I have long for a mother's love and care which I never had.
You know why? Because she deprived me of it. My very own mother deprived me of that.
She would rather abandon me to leave with another man that wasn't even my father than to stay with me or even care about my well-being.
And now you are talking about forgiveness?
Oh, you dare not teach me the scripture, Olivia.
I know the scripture as much as you do.
This is very painful, you of all people know this.
You saw my toil, you knew all my pains.
You were there with me when I went through all the troubles, the struggles, and challenges.
You were there when it all happened.
You even witnessed the whole scene and now you are talking about forgiveness?
I would have been so angry at you if not that you are my only friend and the only thing I ever had since when I was left all alone.
Tears were already dripping down my cheeks and I couldn't hold them back any longer.
I sobbed my heart out and Olivia tried all she could to comfort me.
She held me close and embrace me, patting me to cry my heart out the more.
She is all I had, Olivia has always been with me since the day my mom abandoned me. We have been friends right from childhood.
She usually came to my place to play when her mom goes to the market.
Her mom took me in and treated me like her own daughter.
I don't know what I would have done without Olivia and her family.
They accepted me and nurtured me with the love and care my mother deprived me of.
Olivia knows my pains more than anyone. She sees them all.
There were times I sat up all night crying and sobbing but she always comforted me back to sleep.
She was there to console me and treated me like a younger sister she never had.
We went to the same school. Olivia aspired to become an engineer. She was always good with mathematics while I, on the other hand, a doctor.
We graduated with good grades and venture into our different fields.
Everything was finally working well for both of us. Both Olivia and I secured a good job in a country that graduates were incapable of securing even an average job.
But now with my mom back into our lives, things became difficult for me again, not Olivia but me.
She was happy that my mom was back and she was hoping that we reconciled.
But I never wanted that, no I was too hurt and pained to reconcile with my mom.
The scar she left was too deep to heal even when it had all been forgotten.
Seeing her again and having her come back into my life was like opening an old wound that I never wanted to risk.
I don't want to reconcile with my mom, I kept telling Olivia this but she just wouldn't let me think straight.
She kept chewing me out with the scriptural verses of forgiving and letting go of all our hurts.
Not that she was wrong about all these things but where do I start from?
How do I begin? The pain my mother has caused me was too much to bear and handle and I wasn't sure I could ever forgive her for it.
***Hello Olivia? I will be checking in with you after work.***
***Is that okay with you?***
*Yes sure of course*
***Alright then, see you later, bye***
Get me a glass of water, please?
I was in a nearby restaurant quite close to my workplace. I needed some time and space to think and get some fresh air.
Thank God I had no patients with serious or emergent attention.
While taking the glass of warm water, the thought of my mom came flashing back.
All the incidence from when I was young.
How she boldly walked down the streets and left me crying and screaming my life out.
Why did she give birth to me if she never wanted me?
Why did she suddenly have to leave me all by myself to suffer on my own?
Now, what's the purpose for her return? Why is she back?
Does she think I will ever forgive her? No, she must be kidding.
I was so angry already thinking about the whole thing again that I didn't even notice doctor Kelly walking into the restaurant and sitting in the opposite direction.
***Hi Dr. Melissa!*** Hello?
I regain myself at the shout of hello.
*Hi Dr. Kelly* I responded.
I am sorry I wasn't paying attention.
It's obvious Melissa, is everything okay?
Yes, Dr. Kelly, everything is just fine.
How about the family?
**Family?** well, I think of Olivia's parents as a family so I quickly responded, ***they are fine***
How about yours? I asked Dr. Kelly.
*fine as well, Dr. Melissa.*
So what brought you here?
Oh, I wanted to get some fresh air, I will be on my way already.
Take care, Dr. Kelly, see you around.
I arrived at Olivia's place later that evening and all she kept hammering on was the issue between my mom and me.
She didn't even allow me to state my mission or why I wanted to see her that I put a call through.
She told me she wouldn't listen to me until I decided to forgive my mom and reconcile with her.
With such a condition I knew she was all out for me and wouldn't let me off this time around so I was left with the thought of what to do about my mom's case.
***The End!***
*I am used to letting my readers decide what later happens or unfold in a story.*
*More like leaving your own end to the story. Either a happy ending or a sad one.*
*What do you think guys?*
Thank you for stopping by and reading my post.
I appreciate you for your time and effort in making useful contributions and feedback to the story.

Ten At Last
Image https://pixabay.com/photos/railway-line-railway-rail-girl-3104986/
***Push! Push!***
***You can do this Brianna, I know you can.***
Gather all your strength, you can do it, ***push!***
*Holy shit! The electricity went off.*
What are we gonna do now? Don't panic it gonna be fixed in a few seconds.
Meanwhile, please keep pushing, we gotta get the baby out.
Brianna was a strong-spirited lady, she wouldn't let the disrupted electricity stop her from bringing forth her baby. She did everything within her power to deliver Gabrielle safely.
***Oh my heaven! Such an adorable-looking girl.***
The power was back already and before then, Brianna had safely delivered a bouncing baby girl which was named Gabrielle.
Gabrielle grew up to be as strong and independent as her mother. She was her mother's little girl and was loved in the best way a child could be loved.
The only thing that was missing in Gabrielle's life was a **father's figure**
Brianna had made it her life duty to fill in the vacant and play that role while Gabrielle's dad was far away.
She promised Gabrielle that she was gonna see her father again but only when she turned ten.
Gabrielle didn't understand why she would have to see her dad only when she was ten. Why wasn't he there when she was given birth to?
Even while she was growing up?
Brianna didn't wanna go into details so she asked Gabrielle to put up her best behavior if she ever wanted to see her dad again.
When Gabrielle turned five, it was as if she still had a long way to go before she finally met with her dad. She has been acting her best and being mommy's little adorable and good girl. She loved her mom very much and wasn't planning to let her down
Mr. Jethro, Gabrielle's father had been away from home since when Brianna was still pregnant with Gabrielle.
He promised Brianna to come back when they were done with their duties and since then, Brianna had been expecting her husband.
She was sad when Jethro left but she also couldn't stop him from going. She knew it was not in Jethro's place to choose if he was going or staying back.
The more reason why Brianna didn't like Jethro's idea of joining the army right from the start.
Four years later, with Gabrielle turning nine years old, all her expectations and wait almost coming to an end.
She rushed to her calendar hanged in her room to tick the day on her calendar.
She was both excited and very nervous. The more she approached Ten, the anxious and scared she was
Would her dad love her just like her mom?
Will she be able to spend quality time with him?
Brianna told Gabrielle when her dad was coming back home but she never mentioned if he was going back so Gabrielle was a little worried when she suddenly remembered this.
She prayed her dad wasn't going to leave them again when he returns.
Gabrielle's house was very close to the railway station. She usually takes a walk a few times to the station to watch the travelers and foreigners.
Her mom had warned her several times about wandering to the station but little Gabrielle never listens, she sneaked out every time to the station but ensured she didn't get into trouble and get her mom worried.
August 25, would make little Gabrielle ten years old.
She was eagerly waiting for that day.
The preparation for her birthday party was made already.
Her presents and decorations were all bought a week before the Day.
Gabrielle wasn't really concerned about the present or the party that would be thrown for her.
All she ever cared about was her dad's return.
She has been expecting him since when she was a day old.
Now she just couldn't wait anymore to see him.
Gabrielle had a little surprise gift for her dad, one she made all by herself.
She couldn't sleep well on the eve of her birthday. But when she finally did, She dreamt about meeting her dad and how she hugged and embraced him tightly.
He was very handsome and for a minute Gabrielle thought she got her beauty from him.
Both parents were good-looking but Gabrielle just saw herself in the image of her dad in her dream.
The chirping of the birds woke up Gabrielle.
When she raised her head, her mom and few other people were at her bedside. She got up to the voices of people singing the ***Happy Birthday*** song to her.
She was so thrilled and delighted.
She smiled and hugged her mom.
Brianna made a mess of Gabrielle's face with the buttercream from the cake she was making for her.
She giggled and laughed so hard.
It felt like her best year so far.
She got out of bed to prepare ad get ready for her big day.
It was going to be a double celebration for her; her birthday and the day she was going to meet her dad.
When everyone was busy with the birthday preparation and settings. Gabrielle sneaked out again to her favorite place; **The railway station.**
This time she wasn't just going there to look at the travelers. She went there with the hope of finding her dad and bringing him home.
She stayed fixed at the **railroad** hoping to see an approaching train or something.
It was already getting late and Gabrielle knew too well not to keep her mom worried so she headed back home, though a little sad but without losing hope.
She was ten already and she felt nothing could stop her from meeting her dad now, but first, she needed to return home and not get into trouble with her mom.
***The End...***
Safe By His Side
Image https://pixabay.com/photos/army-team-uniform-man-woman-1446021/
For a moment I thought I was gonna lose my mind.
I couldn't take it anymore. The sound of the guns fired in the air was more like a death sentence to me.
I wasn't a trained lady even when my dad was in the army.
I dreaded guns and I never wanted to hold them.
My dad had been trying to teach me how to use the gun and how to fire bullets from it since when I was five years old.
I never liked the idea so I never gave in to it.
He told me I wasn't going into the army like him, that it was just for self-defense.
If this is the only way left to defend one's self then I would rather remain captive or die in the hands of others but holding a gun was something I never wished to try.
Now the sound of the fired bullets reminded me of how adamant I was about learning to use the gun.
How my dad did everything in his power to teach me what I wanted to know.
How he told me that the world isn't safe for a lady like me if I wasn't trained how to defend myself.
Trust me, now I wished I had listened to my dad when he was still concerned about me, my life, and my future.
What on earth is going on? Why is there so much noise outside?
I already jumped off my bed when I heard the first gunshot.
I was terrified. I was already shaking like a praying mantis.
It seemed two nations were fighting each other but I couldn't tell what it was and I never wished to leave the floor position to know what was going on outside my door. Just then I heard voices and sounding footsteps approaching my door.
I literally peeped in my pants.
I couldn't tell who it was but I knew the person was already heading towards my room, I could see his legs from beneath my door.
He broke open the door of my room and whispered, Julianne, are you in here?.
I couldn't recognize the voice though I knew I have heard that voice somewhere before but where could it have been?
I was not thinking straight again and I didn't want to get up and check who it was and why the person broke into my house to whisper my name.
The person kept walking towards where I laid and when he stepped on my nails, I screamed out so loud, I couldn't withstand the pain. It hurt so much.
***Oh my! I am very sorry, are you okay?***
*Are you nuts? Can't you see you just stepped on my nails? How can I be okay? And who are you by the way and why break into my house?*
***We don't have much time for your questions young lady, just keep shut and do as I say.***
We had better be out of here in no time if you still love your life cause it's not just your fingers that would be stepped on the next time if we waste any more second here.
***Get on let's move.***
Get on where? I retorted
Before I could rant any further, he grabbed me and threw me onto his back.
Goosebumps! That's what happened when I felt the firmness and warmness of his back.
He rushed out of the house and took me to a secret hideout.
When he arrived and uncovered his face cap, I realized it was Richard, one of my dad's bodyguards.
He was sent to fetch me. Just then my dad appeared before me and asked if I was okay.
No, I am not dad, I wasn't actually but something about your bodyguard made me feel safe.
That's good news then, my dad replied.
Let's get out of here, it's not safe for us anymore.
***The End...***
Lucy Shimmers And The Prince Of Peace
Image https://www.google.com/search?q=Lucy+Shimmers+based+on+true+story&prmd=ivn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiPyOHt_5HwAhVJxoUKHb4CBg8Q_AUoAXoECAIQAQ&biw=360&bih=608#imgrc=BnLEg_cebSxZwM
Have you ever watched a movie and you find yourself crying over it without even being aware?
**Lucy Shimmers And The Prince Of Peace** is one of those movies I soaked my pillow while watching.
It's been a while I settled down to watch a movie but one faithful night, I decided to go through my phone, and I realized a friend sent some movies for me for the past months which I didn't have the time to watch so I decided to use that night to try and watch most of them.
Fortunately for me, Lucy Shimmers and the Prince of peace was the first one I clicked to watch.
I cried a lot, yeah I know I can be very dramatic but very emotional when it comes to watching movies that have moral lessons and inspirations.
**Lucy Shimmers And The Prince Of Piece**

https://www.youtube.com/embed/GRTdp36Gpig
The plot Lucy Shimmers is actually based on some fairly authentic characters who are built via intriguing dialogue and conversations, but this area could still be deeper than it is. One detracting aspect is the unusual magical elements of communicating with dead people, which the narrative relies on when it needs to.
Lucy is a very young girl, full of life, energy, enthusiasm even when she is fighting a terminal disease. It all started out with a very strong cough.
Her parents were worried about her and admitted her in the hospital the next day.
Lucy wasn't worried about her health neither was she afraid of death.
She could even communicate with her late grandfather.
Lucy told her parents about her dream. She was on a mission to fulfill the burden God placed in her heart.
While she was in the hospital, she was friendly and nice with all the patients especially those people deserted.
When Lucy shimmers realized she didn't have much time left again, she usually sneaked out of the hospital bed to visit another patient and tell him about Jesus Christ and how God loves him and will help him to reunite with his family again.
In the long run, Lucy Shimmers was able to convert the rejected patient to God who had lost all hope in life.
She also donated her kidney to a patient who had a damaged kidney. Before she finally returned to her father (God)
After a few months, Lucy Shimmer's parents had a new baby boy after losing Lucy.
And the whole family was happy again and always remembered Lucy and her grandfather.
It was such a delightful and inspiring watch and I am very glad I watched the movie.
I bet you will like it if you give it a try

One Of My Favorite Book(s) ~ Teenagers Are People Too
**Books!** Who doesn't have a form of connection with it?
One doesn't necessarily have to be a bookworm to be either emotionally attached to a book or have a few which has impacted their lives.
Reading books isn't something everyone loves to do but I would say, you should get that knowledge, so sorry, get yourself a book to read, it helps sometimes.
Speaking of a favorite book(s), I have a handful of them and I couldn't tell which I should make use of for this contest. You know I am a big fan of ***Ben Carson's*** books and I have read a few of his publications.
But for this contest, I wanna share a book I read from one of my female authors ***Joyce Meyer***, her books are good as well.
The book I wanna share today, I read it when I was a little younger.
You know teen/youthful age is a time that many trying things would come up. The energy, the excitement, the exuberance of finally becoming a teenager/youth.
That stage comes with its own fun and agony as well.
A time with lots of peers pressure, loneliness, emotional pains etc
The title of my favorite teen book is **Teenagers Are People Too**
Yes, you got that imagination play out well, you must have been guessing why I was talking about the teen/youthful stage, now you know the reason.
Image https://www.google.com/search?q=teenagers+are+people+too+pdf&client=ms-android-transsion-infinix-rev1&prmd=inv&sxsrf=ALeKk03Ng2xZkFYjVHspiY6ZfNiVihnkcA:1616642221629&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwi35uTKvcrvAhX9A2MBHQLPBKYQ_AUoAXoECAIQAQ&biw=360&bih=656#imgrc=1mgcxmxgUhf12M
Some parents make the mistake of disregarding their teenage children. Some make the mistake of trying to force things on them, force decisions on them, and make them learn certain things the hard way.
Joyce Meyer uses herself and her family as an example to write this book to us.
There are ways to manage teenagers without making them feel unwelcome, unloved, and most of all without making them feel they are less important to you and even in the sight of God.
There are eight chapters of the book with different categories and varieties of topics to look at with scriptural backups.
The first chapter talks about unconditional love and acceptance.
And this chapter features David, Meyer's son who longed for the love and acceptance of not just his parents but God.
He wanted to feel the same way his parent felt about God, he wanted to experience that in-depth joy and satisfaction, but on the other hand, it felt like he was being pressurized. His parents didn't accept his ways of living, he was rebellious and living a comprising life. He knew he wasn't living right but he also needed the space and time to make his own decisions. Yes, his parents gave him that and in the long run, he found what he has been yearning for and finally became successful in his field and call to ministry.
One lesson that chapter has taught me is that no parent can force a child to love God. The only thing they can do for their children is to pray for them that God himself, the creator directs them their steps and make them find and choose the right way and path to follow.
When Joyce finally realized this, he forgave his son, kept praying for him to come to the knowledge of God and be who God designed him to be and be where he has called him to be.
Chapter Two Of the Book talks about emotional pains and disappointment.
Accepting those pains, forgiving yourself, and moving on with your life.
The sad truth is that most times, teenagers find it very difficult to forget their hurts, their pains or even forgive themselves for whatever wrong or mistakes they have done.
Joyce Meyer encouraged teenagers and youths to tell God all about their problems, their hurt, their emotional pains.
She backed it up with scripture, **Isaiah 61:3** which states; *To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion—to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit—that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.*
Again she used herself as an example, how she endured the painful stage of her life and how she finally gave up all the hurt to God the father to take over from her and help her find peace, joy, and happiness.
In chapter three, **confronting fear** is the caption.
As a teenager, she encouraged them to stand up to their situations and confront those that need to be confronted and not become shy and timid or afraid of anyone.
The scriptural backup was 2 Timothy 1:7 *For God has not given us. The Spirit of fear, but of power, and of love and of a sound mind.*
**Overcoming the past** the review of chapter four of the book.
Often we are aware of the mistakes of the past, young people are aware of their mistakes, and most times they are hunted down by their past. And this has been the devil's means of making God's original plan for a man's life to die off.
Overcoming the past is one key thing a person should be able to do for themselves. Wallowing in self-pity would only keep one trapped in the things that make them sad and this often leads to one committing suicide in most cases.
Other chapters of the books have astounding topics discussed as well. I would have really loved to review and give a summary of the whole chapter, one after the other but no I don't want to do that so you can read the book for yourself or better still get it for your teenage daughter, son, relatives or even friends. It could really be of great help and benefit to them.
You never can tell the areas or things those young ones are suffering from and can't share it with the elderly ones, or their parents.
Inasmuch as they are humans too, they also have the same blood running through their veins. Pressure shouldn't be exerted on them or decisions imposed on them.
They should be given the chance to make their decisions as well and better their lives.
It wouldn't be so nice to live a robotic kind of life that you are always being ordered and pushed around. **Teenagers Are People Too!** and they should always be given that chance to be seen, heard, and known as people and not some kind of robots with remote control.
This will always remain, my teen favorite book, and I recommend it for every teenager out there. Please help a teenager in your home, in your community, and the society at large.
Give Joyce Meyer's publication a good read and you won't be disappointed.

Be Kind To Everyone You Meet
Since when I was a young child, we have been taught how to be kind to everyone we meet and learn to be humble.
It is said that **the people you meet on your way up might be the same people you meet on your way down**
Life is full of ups and downs, no one really knows what the future holds for them.
The life you live and how well you relate with people determine how readily available they will be when you are in need or in time of trouble.
Here is a story of a young lady whose life was saved because of her kindness.
**Kira is a young lady working as a nurse in a small hospital**
**Kira had an encounter with Daniel, a young guy who rushed his dying mother to the hospital.**
**Daniel had no money or anyone to run to for help when her mother's life was almost cut short.**
**The doctor said that daniel's mother can only be operated on when Daniel deposits the needed amount of money or paid directly to the hospital cashier.**
**Daniel who didn't have anyone to run to was frustrated and devastated. He wept all his heart out but none paid heed to his cries and pleading even when he promised to pay thereafter even if it meant borrowing.**
**When Kira saw how restless Daniel was with his dying mother, she offered up her monthly salary for Daniel's mother to be operated on and treated.**
**Daniel never forgot her kindness and he has been very thankful for what Kira did for him, though he promised to repay her kindness and pay her back the money but Kira refused and asked him not to worry about it.**
**After many years had passed, one day Kira was abducted by some group of men who wanted to harm her but on arriving at their hideout, one of the men who approached the abducted girl Kira was Daniel, the guy Kira helped some years back.**
**Daniel immediately recognized Kira and she was asked to be released because of the kindness she rendered some years back when she helped his mother**
Kira was saved from bad treatments and that was because of the help she offered when someone was in need.
You never know what kindness can offer
For some, it has opened doors, opportunities, etc.
For others, it brought breakthroughs and lots more.
A single act of kindness coupled with humility can turn a person's life around.
I will pause and ask you all these questions;
***Are you kind to people?***
***How well do you treat others and how well do you relate with the people around you and the people you meet?***
***If someone is in trouble or in need of help, how do you respond to them to be of help to them or lend a helping hand?***
Whatever we do in life, we shouldn't always think too highly of ourselves. It doesn't matter the things we have in possession. We should remember to be kind to the people we meet because we don't know what tomorrow would bring.
Have a very lovely and blessed Sunday.

Julie 3
Did you miss the first two part of this series? Not to worry, here there are, quickly read up to understand the last part.
Julie 1 https://read.cash/@zanoz/julie-6c486968
Julie 2 https://read.cash/@zanoz/julie-2-5cb3ce24
*Hey Julie!*
*Watch where you are going, will you?*
***I am sorry for bumping into you, I admit I wasn't looking.***
*It's okay Julie, glad you are alright.*
When Julie walked past, Dennison grabbed her by the arms and stopped her.
You know Julie, I saw you earlier at the bench outside. What were you doing there?
***What do you care?*** was the perfect answer Julie had in her head but she just didn't say it out.
I wasn't doing anything was the answer her lips rather gave, I was only waiting for my friend Patricia, we had lessons and we usually go together.
Oh, I see, that is good of you then, but you know what? why have you been avoiding me since after the incident?
I know we don't talk much and we never did but it seems you have been intentionally avoiding me and not wanting to ever cross my path, so bumping into me was the greatest mistake you ever made today right?
No Dennis...before she could even complete her sentence, Christine showed up.
***Hey Dennis!***
What are you doing there? Come on we still have a date remember?.
At the mention of **date** Julie's face already boiled with anger and agitation and Dennison could tell from the look of things.
He let go of Julie's arm and she walked with speed out of their sight without even looking back.
Let's go, Dennis, Christine grabbed his arm, and they both left.
Dennison had been thinking of Julie the whole time he was driving and eating out with his friend Christine. He still wasn't able to forget her and Christine could tell something was bothering him, she had always known he hasn't been himself lately but she just didn't wanna interfere in his personal life.
Dennison really got Christine worried and worked up this time with his wearied face that Christine was forced to ask him what was going on with him.
At first, he didn't wanna say anything to her, but then he couldn't keep it anymore, besides Christine is his one and only childhood friend, and keeping such a thing from her wouldn't be so fair.
After Dennison had opened up everything to Christine, Christine asked if the girl she met with him in school was the same girl he was talking about, and Dennison responded that she's the same girl.
Christine reassured him and told him not to worry about it again and Dennison believed that with Christine it was going to be just fine cause he trusted her.
Weeks after weeks, Christine and Dennison were always seen together and this had started taking turns on Julie. Though she didn't accept Dennison, she was jealous of the fact that Christine was always with him and they always enjoy each other's company.
Julie liked Dennison but her principle and standard wouldn't let her accept him even when she knew she liked him and wanted him as a friend but what can she do now when **Miss Gorgeous** has already come back from wherever she was and taking over Dennison's life as if she was his girlfriend or something.
***Hey Julie!*** Patricia, Julie's friend called out to her in the classroom.
What are you busy thinking of? I have been calling out for like ages now but you still didn't hear me.
What is going on in that head of yours?
Missed sleep? Or thinking about your prince charming?
**hey shoo, don't even go there** Julie responded.
Jeez, girl takes it easy, Pat said.
She could felt the anger and jealousy in Julie's tone.
What is up with her all of a sudden?
Just then, Christine walked into the classroom accompanied by Dennison.
When she was seated, Dennison patted her on her head and then promised to pick her up after lectures.
That is it! I have had enough!
Julie busted out furiously and left the classroom. She wanted to go to the restroom cause she was tired of all the dramas she was seeing between Dennison and Christine.
When she left, Patricia followed her but only to halt when she saw Dennison following behind Julie.
When Julie opened the restroom door, Dennison grabbed the handle and entered with her.
Julie was startled, she asked what Dennison was doing in the restroom but instead of Dennison responding he asked her why she left the classroom in a storm.
***What do you care, Dennison?*** Julie said.
Technically I do care Julie and you know it, Dennison replied.
Let go of me Dennison, go check on Christine, she might be looking for you.
Christine? Wait why drag her into this?
Oh Julie, don't tell me you are jealous? It couldn't be, could it?
**Jealous?** Hell no! I am not. Why would I be?
Exactly! I see no reason why you should be, I mean you bluntly refused me right? Avoided me too.
No Dennison, I didn't.....well forget it.
No, Julie, I won't, what is it? What's going on with you?
Tell me you like me and that you are just doing all this on purpose to hurt me.
What have I ever done to you, Julie? Why make me go through all this?
I know I told you I liked you and wanted you as my friend but Julie, the truth is I have fallen in love with you.
Since the first day, you replied to my letter though not positive but since then I have been thinking all about you and no one else.
I think I have fallen for you so would you please stop torturing me like this?
Julie's jaw was down after hearing what Dennison said.
She least expected but she heard it after all.
She knew she wasn't gonna let this time pass her by, it's probably a second chance, and the last she's got but she just didn't know what she could do.
Dennison dragged her closer, grabbed her face, and kissed her on the forehead, and then embraced her.
I love you, Julie, I truly do.
By the time they both got out of the restroom, Christine and Patricia were already waiting for them outside the door.
They both smiled at each other, Patricia embraced her friend Julie and Christine made a mess of Dennison's hair like usual, they four all laughed and went back to class.
After classes, Dennison came to pick all three girls; Julie, Christine, and Patricia home.
When they got home, Julie told Patricia all about what happened back in the restroom and so did Dennison.
Before retiring to bed, Julie got a text from Dennison **" I love you, Julie, will you please accept this heart?"**
Julie smiled and gave Dennison a reply.
The four friends; Julie, Dennison, Christine, and Patricia formed a bond of friendship among the four of them and Julie became Dennison's fiancee along the line and all graduated from school with good grades.
***...THE END***
How was the story? I hope you liked it and you have been keeping up with all three series. Thank you for the time and for reading through.
Staking Or Speedy Saving?
Staking is one thing I love doing so much. Everytime I receive a particular reward or whenever my contents generates rewards, I stake those rewards and I also use them to purchase more tokens and increase my stake value. I know I don't own a lot but I never stop staking the little I have.
**Staking, An Avenue To Save**
Technically, when you stake, you are saving there are no two ways about it.
What's the rush is taking out your liquid earnings except for urgent need or emergency?
The platform provides you with an option to save and not only that but you save with profits.
This is what staking does, it helps you save and still earn on top of your savings.
**The differences between saving and staking**
Though staking can be likely unto saving but there is a great difference.
The number one big difference between saving and staking is that you get returns of the money you stake through curation. It's like using your money to generate another money and not leave it stagnant in your wallet as you would do with your fiat savings.
The fiat currency in your saving box adds nothing to you except it is taken out and used and with that, you can't call it saving again, can you? Whereas with stakes, you still get back some amount of the money staked.
**Choosing Staking Over Saving?**
If I am given an option to choose between the two, I will still choose to stake over and over again especially after learning about all its benefits, who doesn't like good things? Only a moron I guess 🤷♀️
One shouldn't only focus their wealth on one thing. Just like the saying **casting your bread upon many waters** you should learn to diversify your wealth.
When I read people purchasing and staking other tokens aside from hive, it motivates me to do better.
Staking is one thing that gives me so much joy, every time I click that power up button or purchase any token to stake.
**Dynamically save your wealth by staking**
I may not remind you next time ;)
To all stakeholders! 🍻😁

🍻😁

I waited for Dennison to walked past the school gate and enter the school compound, while I followed them behind.
I got the greatest shock of my life when I got startled by my crazy friend Pat. She asked me why I was peeping and tiptoeing, just then she sighted Dennison from afar.
*Oh, I see, so you were hiding from your prince charming?*
Shut it Pat; let's get to class, I had to hurry to class if I didn't wanna be late for my first lectures.
~ ***IN THE ClASSROOM*** ~
Attention class, we have a new student who would be staying with us from now on until the end of the school session. Her name is Christine.
Wait! Christine? Isn't that the same name as Dennison's childhood friend? Maybe I am just paranoid or obsessed with this Dennis thing, maybe it's a different person, let's just see.
Class, please welcome Christine San Diego, she just returned from the United States and will be studying with us from now on.
When I raised my head to see the person in question, Io and behold it was the young girl I saw with Dennison earlier today at the school gate. I couldn't believe my eyes but the young girl was damn pretty just as I guessed earlier. But who is she and why was she in our school? Could she really be the Christine Patricia told me about? Dennison's childhood friend?
Well, I don't care any less if she was, I had no business with her so I returned to face my book while the class carried on.
After classes, I and Patricia had to pack up quickly and go home since we had visitors coming over to my house so Patricia wanted to come and help me later at home with all the preparations. My mom promised to pick us up but I told her not to worry about it that we would come home right after school.
While I was rushing to pack up, I heard some said **Hey Dennis!**
Dennis? As in Dennison? Why was he in our class? Dennison has never come to our class before so what could bring him here today?
When I finished with my backpack and raised my head, I saw Christine and Dennison moving outside the classroom, technically Dennison came to pick up Christine.
Are they going back together? Anyways it's none of my business so why am I bothered?
I hurried home with Patricia, she helped me with everything I needed help with at home. Aside from being a garrulous person, my friend Patricia is very helpful and can be very reliable, she has always been there for me since when I met her.
We were so tired after the stress of the evening so we had a good long rest, hoping to get up on time for school the next day.
My mom woke us up the next morning to dress up for school. She even dropped us off in school before passing to work.
Thank God we made it to school on time after such a long night's rest.
I had just two classes today and an extra lesson. I had to wait for Patricia after my classes since she had three classes to attend before the extra lesson.
While waiting for Patricia, I decided to use my earpiece, and I love listening to music every time I am less free or when I am not busy with anything.
The music wasn't loud enough so I could still hear what anyone passing by said.
I walked outside the classroom block and sat on the bench outside the block waiting for Patricia.
Unfortunately, I saw Dennison and Christine by a car outside the class block talking and giggling. I couldn't hear exactly why they were saying since the distance was a little too far but I could see the bright smiles from Dennison and I knew for sure that Christine was making up a funny speech to have made him smile so graciously.
Just when I was busy with my thoughts about what they could be saying, I noticed Christine raise her hands towards Dennison's head and made a mess of his hair, and ran away, she was running towards the class block so I guess she had a class she wanted to return to.
I used my scarf to cover up my face when she walked past me.
Dennison rearranged his hair while still smiling about Christine's act.
He grabbed the car handle to make sure it was well locked before he left.
Why was I gazing at Dennison? And why did I suddenly feel agitated?
I picked my bag and left angrily forgetting that I was waiting for Patricia. When I remembered on my way that I had left Patricia and she might be waiting for me, I hurried and went back only for me to bump into someone and on raising my head it was Dennison.

Julie
I immediately hid the letter I got from Dennison when I heard a knock on my door.
*Yes! Who's there?*
***It's me darl.***
*Oh mom, come in, please*
***How are you doing?***
*I am fine mom, I was about to get some rest*
***Alright dear you should, I only wanted to check up on you***
When mom was out of the room, I raised my pillow and brought out the letter again to read since I was disrupted by the knock on my door earlier.
**The Letter**
***Dear Julie***
*I probably shouldn't do this but every time I stop myself from writing to you, the more the urges come.*
*I know you are very intelligent and highly respected in school because of your conduct, standard, and principles.*
*Believe me, I am not writing to you because I want to distract you from your studies, that would be the last thing I would wish to do.*
*My major reason for writing to you is because I would like to be your friend, you might reject it and it's okay, I wasn't expecting to be accepted in just a single letter but I had to try at least.*
*I am not here to flatter you or tell you the things you already know and perhaps you have already heard from other guys, all I am seeking is your hand of friendship, I would be the happiest guy in school if I finally get accepted by you, Julie.*
*I will be awaiting your response and reply, thank you.*
*~Dennison*
I couldn't believe I was already smiling through the letter and already imagining Dennison as my friend. He didn't mean harm, at least that was my thought in regards to his written note to me. I wanted to put his request into consideration and accept Dennison as my friend.
I had 80 reasons I would have accepted him as a friend but my mind gave me 100 more reasons why I shouldn't accept him and one of the most crucial reasons was that I needed to face my studies and focus on my education. It was no time to run around playing the friendship game with Dennis, anything can transpire between us if we become friends and I didn't want to risk that, I wanted to graduate as the best or one of the best students so I didn't need any kind of distraction or whatsoever.
After much consideration and thought, I wrote to Dennison in response to the letter he wrote to me.
**The Reply**
***Dear Dennison***
*I read your letter and I am pleased to tell you that I appreciate your extended hand of friendship towards me.*
*I know you mean no harm and I know all you wanna do is just be friends.*
*It would have been nice to have a male friend for the first time but I am sorry to tell you that I don't think I can make room for one right now.*
*I am really so sorry for turning down your hand of friendship and I really hope you could forgive me for doing that and I hope you would understand, thank you!*
*~Julie*
Dennison received the letter with so much enthusiasm only for him to be disappointed, though he expected it but he still felt bad for the rejection.
I mean who was he to think the all-knowing **Julie** would accept his hand of friendship.
That wasn't the end of the world for him, he brushed it off and moved on with his life.
Dennison is a tall handsome young guy with a lovely diasterm and well-arranged dentition one that lights up his face whenever he smiles revealing his diasterm.
He is the only child of his parents, smart, rich yet humble.
He wasn't a spoilt brat even though his parents were wealthy.
He is a little isolated and has only two male friends John and Dave.
Dennison's friends are a little too troublesome but their troubles have no bad influence on Dennis being well trained and brought up by his parents.
I would say any girl would die to be Dennison's girlfriend and even just a friend, but Dennis wasn't really concerned about the girls in our school.
At first, I thought it was because he had a girlfriend already who wasn't in our school but the case is quite the opposite. He doesn't have any girlfriend, the only girl in Dennison's life is **Christine** Dennison's childhood friend.
Are you surprised I know this much about Dennison? Well, that is what happens when you have a garrulous researcher or investigator for a friend :)
My only garrulous friend **Patricia** told me all about Dennison after doing a background check-up on him.
She has always been on my neck since the day I told her about Dennison's letter and how I turned down the friendship request.
Patricia almost skin me alive, telling me how so many other girls would jump up for such a chance, excluding herself :) silly Pat.
~ ***IN SCHOOL***~
I arrived at school earlier than usual because I didn't wait for my friend Pat, she always has a way of making me late for classes so I left her behind to come right after.
When I got to school, unluckily for me, I sighted Dennison from afar, he just stepped out of his car.
Surprisingly he wasn't alone, a young girl in her early sixteen if I wasn't mistaken stepped out of the car as well, she wore a short red shirt revealing her fine legs and long blonde hair falling from her back, one could tell she was very pretty even from the side view and from such a distance.
My heart skipped for a moment, but why? That is something I wouldn't know for sure. I needed to hide and get myself to the classroom without being seen. I have been avoiding any close contact with Dennison since after the letter and rejection, so I wouldn't wanna be seen now nor ever.

Shitcoin Hodlers Are Early Adopters
There is something about early adopters, the truth is whatever coins you decide to purchase and hodl regardless if it is undervalued or shitty, you are termed **An Early Adopter** by default.
After all if in the future, the so shitcoin becomes valuable then you stand to gain, the profit is all yours, and the world would note you as an early adopter.
Why Buy And Hodl Shitcoin?
Like I said before now if you look at it from my perspective, you are an early adopter and this shows you have hope and faith in whatever the coin is gonna become in the future.
Another reason why you should hodl or why some people hold onto their shit balance is because no one can actually predict what would happen in the next 24 hours.
Anything can change and this is the crypto space we are in.
The world of cryptocurrency operates in such a way that even the most undervalued coin can become valuable in a twinkle of an eye, following the pump and dump scheme.
More Returns
Undervalue coins has more returns if it pumps compared to coins with a value.
But note that when purchasing and hodling shitcoin, you aren't emotionally attached as anything can happen and you lose your investment since this is a 50-50 game.
**Are You Willing To Play The Game?**
Not financial advice but then if you are, please do well to make your own research to better understand the short and long-term potential of any shitcoin or undervalued coin you are willing to invest in.
And if at the end of the day, you successfully invest in those undervalue coins, do well to monitor the market **without being emotionally attached** and if in the long run, the price increases, it is needful you take your profit or at least your capital and keep riding the uptrend.
Are you willing to be an early adopter of those undervalue coins? I won't give you a list, **Do Your Own Research**
But be proud to be an early adopter ;)

Is Anger A Defect?
Source https://pixabay.com/photos/scream-shout-woman-fear-anger-4751647/
As humans, we have feelings that range from that love, hate, joy, to sadness, anger, and a lot more.
So far we have blood still flowing through us, we have passed through all these stages.
We have loved, we have hated, we've had joy overflowing, we've been angered and we still feel sad most of the time.
Among all I have mentioned, What I want to pick and point out the most is the issue of **ANGER**
Some dread the word Anger and others just see it as a defect they wish to get rid of.
It's okay, every one of us has been angry before so it's not a curse. It's just a matter and issue of one's temper.
Your level of anger is quite different from my level of anger and the way we control it when it arises.
Though anger is a sign of the bitterness inside of us.
When we are so bitter to the point that we can't keep it bubbling in anymore, then we let it out, we flare up and this is what **Anger** is all about.
**What is Anger?**
The English dictionary defines anger to be;
A strong feeling of displeasure, hostility, or antagonism towards someone or something, usually combined with an urge to harm.
From the definition, we can already sight the end product of every angry person.
An angry person is a destructive person. And when I say **destructive** I am not only talking about physical destructions, we have verbal destruction as well.
Staying angry in a way is causing both you and the person involved harm.
It's either you harm yourself in the process of your anger or you harm the person involved or even both.
Most times, an angry person isn't trying to cause anyone harm but just a way to express their bitterness or hurtful situation.
And anger should only arise once in a while and not every time. If it comes more often then it is a problem that has to deal with.
A person is not supposed to be angry all the time but if there is such then the person has an anger issue that should be tamed and worked on.
I have been around a number of persons with anger issues. When such arises, they throw tantrums, they can be very destructive too such as throwing objects and things. Some are verbally violent.
It's not intentional, not like they earlier planned it or which for it to happen the way it did. That's was beyond them because they already let it control them.
Your anger shouldn't control you rather you should be the one controlling it when it wants to surface.
And how do you control your anger when it comes?
**How To Control Anger**
The simplest and easiest ways to control your anger is to perform some actions or activities such as; breathing in and out (inhaling and exhaling), counting numbers, walking away from the things that make you angry or flare-up, listening to music, and even exercising.
All these are simple ways to tame your anger and control it.
Looking at that, what are the end products of anger or an angry person?
**End-Product Or Result Of Anger**
**Destruction**
Anger breeds destruction. It comes regardless if you wanted it to or not. That's why it's important to know how to control your anger when it comes because it can be very destructive.
An angry person is full of rage and he or she can cause harm to the people involved if care isn't taken.
**Regrets**
If you have ever been angry about a particular thing before and flared up then you will realize that at some point when you become calm that regrets would be the next thing to follow.
Yes, some angry person later discovers their faults and some are very regretful about their misbehavior.
Some might have said some really bad and hurtful words to another person in the cause of their anger, so after realizing that, they regret doing it.
But it's useless because people say that ***whatever a person says when he or she is angry is the truth and they really mean them***
But in my opinion, I wouldn't say all are always true or they mean it, I just feel that most times these angry ones just want to make the person involved feel the same pain they are going through without even thinking twice and saying things to hurt those people too.
**Fear and Isolation**
Anger leads to fear and isolation. A person who is usually anger almost every time is feared by others and they are usually feeling isolated because most people wouldn't want to associate with them because of their anger issue.
Some are afraid of their destructive forces.
Though anger isn't a defect but it can become a problem if care is not taken.
No matter how bitter and hurt a person is, they should learn how to control and term their anger.
Examine and know which preventive measures work for you and stick to them.
Live a peaceful and happy life feel from anger and negativity.
Photos Bring Back Memories
There is a great feeling attached to each photo in your gallery right?
I mean every single photo you have there was taken for a purpose or perhaps something urged you to take them.
You know that feeling when you see a beautiful sky view, a lovely flower, or helpless looking bird. You just can't help but capture them if you were with your mobile at the present moment?.
There is always a reason for all the photos we take and why we leave them stored up in our gallery. But most times along the line this reason escape our minds, it fades away but then whenever we look at those images or photos, it's either we smile, or we ponder and reminisce the moment we took those shot.
It happens that even when we run out of phone storage space, there are photos we just can't delete or discard no matter what.
While I was going through my phone gallery today. I wasn't really searching for anything in particular. I was just scanning through my phone and suddenly I went to my gallery and started scrolling through images and old photos.
I found these lovely photos I took early last year. I remember when the pandemic struck and we couldn't move freely like we used to.
How the road and streets looked dry and scarce of people.
I remember the lonely path that I usually like taking whenever I want to go home or go to any place.
People say this bush track is risky but for some reason, I feel more comfortable taking this path than using the main road.
But recently, I am more careful not to take this part late at night, I can't even dare anymore though I wasn't afraid of anything then when I was younger and still a naive child.
The two images I can remember very well when I took them. One of them I took when I was coming back from church, the heavy rain had just stopped but the leaves and grasses were still very wet that I even got dirt on my dress.
And this one was on a sunny day though the clouds had already started changing colors showing signs that there will soon be a downpour
And the sky? It always feels like I have a special connection with it. I have thousands of sky and cloud images on my phone than I have of myself.
I love capturing the sky every now and then.
I can't withstand the urge of capturing the cloud every time I see a weird formation or something lovely or even funny lol.
I had some memories of those moments I captured all these coming into my mind, with me trying very hard to remember how it was when I took all these shots.
I have not shared them anywhere before so I thought of leaving them here, in this way, it feels like I am storing up some memories here even while sharing them with you guys!
Tell me what you think about those photos? And what do you feel when going through old photos in your gallery?
***All photos are mine and taken with my phone***
Friends Are The Family You Choose
**ENGLISH**
In you I find solace
The comfort I would have sought for
Came to me without an application
Your shoulders, I rest on
When the case of life lowers my head in anguish
Your hands, always open
To welcome me to stay.
Your words, my life sharpener
Putting me back on track when I wander off
An anchor found in both body and spirit
What more could I have asked for?
In you, I found a friend in need and a friend indeed.
Whenever life throws the question **"who is your friend"**
The answer always points towards you and no one else.
In a large circle of friends with just you standing out.
You are the family I choose among many.
You are the friend whom I consider as a mother, a sister, a confidant, a lifesaver.
You are worth more than words can describe
And I am fortunate to have you in my life.
Thank you for always being there for me in open and in secret.

**SPANISH**
En ti encuentro consuelo
El consuelo que hubiera buscado
Vino a mi sin una aplicación
Tus hombros, descanso
Cuando el caso de la vida baje la cabeza angustiada
Tus manos siempre abiertas

If You Woke Up Rich
You may already sense from the title what this post is about but hey wait, just a minute!
**What If you really woke up rich?**
What will be the first thing to come to your mind?
What would be the first thing you would think of doing?
Will, you even be in the right state of your mind to do those things?
Would you think straight?
What about all the goals and dreams you had before the sudden attainment of riches?
This is me being sincere, I would still have to pinch myself first to be sure I wasn't dreaming. I even pinch myself in my dreams so how much more if that happens?
Then secondly I would suddenly become dumb and stupid; mind you I don't mean stupid as in **stupid** :) but I mean being ignorant of what to do or how to go about everything that suddenly took place.
If you haven't yet made your financial budgets for when you get rich, then believe me you would be so extravagant without any accomplishment. He who plans his future budgets plans his life.
If you are poor today yet you don't have plans for when the money comes or when you become rich then being rich is nothing but a myth to you.
And if ever you become rich, and you already had plans towards your wealth, it wouldn't be a problem.
If you Woke Up Rich?
Personally, if I woke up rich, what do you think I would do with my riches or wealth?
This is what I would do; buy a house, established a business, invest in cryptocurrency, buy a car, and other necessary needs.
I would spend the money wisely having had plans for such. So would you mind telling me what you would do if you woke up rich?
Remember it's impromptu and unplanned. You just woke up and see your self surrounded by money, what would be your first reaction and what would be your first and important plans for the money?
Let's hear you out in the comment section

Top Difficult Sports
When I searched the net for the most difficult sport in the world, I was amazed by the top three sports that were list.
And among the top list, **Boxing** is number one and the toughest.
I had to pause and ponder on it. Come to think of it, I remember when I was a small child and I see my uncles and guys neighbors watching wrestling and boxing.
I could see how addicted they were to buying and watching people boxing and throwing fists at each other. I remember a time I watched the **female wrestling** I was feeling scared for them because of all the injuries they had as a result of throwing first at each other and breaking bones.
So relating that to boxing, I can only imagine how it is and why they think it's the toughest. And in my opinion, it is the toughest sport I have come across so far as well.
How would you receive punches from someone and still remain fine or the same?
Source https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTNCulvGtWSMK-uvWiv-y3mfaF_Gyxmf-2nzg&usqp=CAU
It's not the toughest only because of the fist throwing but also the major calculations that need to be undertaken by the opponents so as not to be defeated.
In some sports, a player is required to be patient, slow, and steady while some need speed and agility.
The physical and mental state of a person is tested as well when it comes to sort.
A person with heart failure isn't fit to engage in certain sport such as boxing as I mentioned to be the toughest, and also football isn't an option either being that the person will need to run and cause stress to his or her system. So in sport, health functionality matters too.
**SWIMMING**
I am not surprised that this is listed among the top difficult sports.
Swimming has become one of the most demanding sports in the world. Swimming is a sport where swimmers try to swim as fast as possible with various strokes such as Breaststroke, Backstroke, Butterfly stroke, and freestyle.
Source https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcStoEMF0hwL3hBE9vuGUZ4pa0gSEZ6Cl1_kCA&usqp=CAU
There are other difficult sports like gymnastics, skiing, horseback riding, water polo, bull riding, motor cross, and wrestling.

Sleepless Nights
What did I do to myself? I woke up at exactly 8:00 am today. I slept very late at about 5:00 am, I was up all through the night surfing the net and getting different kinds of information I needed.
And the worst part is that two nights ago, I also tarried throughout the night that I ended up sleepwalking, sleepblogging and sleep doing everything the next day.
Source https://media.giphy.com/media/cAl709I0xf4k0/giphy.gif
Why did I have to put myself in that situation again tarrying the night? I wouldn't say the tarry was worth it but what can I do? The did have already be done.
The worst part is that today being Friday, we have an all-night rehearsal in my church, making it double tarrying. I just pray for the strength not to break down.
When I miss my adequate sleep it always turns out pretty bad on my health. I was never nocturnal so I wouldn't start it now. I do everything I needed to do during the day because I know immediately night comes, my eyes and system will start dancing to its tune.
And if I try to deny it rest then I will have myself to blame for it.
Having done this to myself already. What do I do?
Should I spend my whole day sleeping and resting? To fill in for the sleep I missed during the night?
Or should I rather keep up with my day's activities?
Then what about our all-night rehearsal? How do I tackle that? I can't miss the rehearsal for anything in the world and I also cannot spend my whole day sleeping and snoring in my bed (Ps: I don't snore😂)

I have work here to do on Hive. I have both online and offline works to do so if I choose to sleep, I will just end up ruining my schedules for myself which I don't even want to happen.
So I think I would have to deal with the dizziness and the headaches and work my ass out.
While still doing the necessary and needful. I hope I will have some hours to rest before I attend the all-night rehearsal.
If you did stop by to go through my ranting, then thanks for that and if you still have suggestions for me to tackle these issues then please I am open for it, thank you!

How To Make A Basket For Your Accessories
Have you been losing your tiny things or accessories lately?
Cool, I have a way to help you tackle that issue with crafting
It's simple! All you have to do is get yourself a basket or you can as well make them yourself.
I will show you the basket I made for my small assets that I misplace easily. Now that problem is solved on my own part after making this tiny basket for myself.
Materials Needed
Cardboard Papers
Top Gum
Pen
Scissor
First, get cardboard paper of any color; preferably two different colors, Cut then into pieces and the sizes you want them.
Out of the two cardboard papers, cut one color into half again after first cutting them into pieces. Cut until it enough to round a basket.
Then you draw out two big circles in another piece of cardboard paper. Note the circle should be according to how big or how small you want the basket.
Carve out the two circles you drew on the cardboard initially.
Pick one of the circles, apply gum on it, and then pick the smaller pieces of cardboard you cut earlier and stick them to the circle.
Stick the pieces of cardboard all around.
Turn the circle around to see if it's enough. Here it is still looking scanty so we will keep applying gum and sticking more white cardboard.
You can see the difference between this one and the previous one. The white cardboard is much here and it is not looking scanty like the first one. Now, this is all set and ready.
Take a few pink cardboard, apply gum to both ends, stick them together, and form a ring with it.
Fold the white cardboard upward to make it stand.
After getting the rings, fit them into the upward folded white carboards. Be sure to skip the white cardboard one after the other before fitting the pink cardboard ring in.
Repeat the same procedure for the second row, again skip but this time, skip the ones you fit the ring in earlier and fit the next ring on the ones you skipped previously.
Do the same to the third roll, repeat the same thing I said above in the second row.
Again, repeat it for the fourth and the last row for me, you can keep yours as big and as wide as you need.
After you might have finished the last row, gum the edges and then trim out the leftover cardboard
And here we are done with the body of the basket
Look! That is what the inside would look like. Spacious enough to contain your tiny accessories right?
Now for the cover, we use the second circle we carved out earlier when we started, round it with white pieces of cardboard using the gum. Cut a small round pink cardboard, place it in the middle, apply gum and stick it.
Then for the handle, gum two pink pieces of cardboard and white cardboard in the middle
Stick the handle to the cover using the gum.
Here, you have a finished handle. It looks great right? I bet it is lol
Viola! Our basket and the cover is ready.
Finally, we use pink cardboard for the basket handle
Now we have our basket, the cover and then the handle
This is it. From now on you won't have any reason to lose your tiny assets and accessories when you have that small basket to save them.
See you next time!
I Don't Have Money Syndrome
We are in the Era that many are affected by the **I Don't Have Money** Syndrome. It's one man for himself.
Even family members find it difficult to help their relatives because they believe they have their own problems to deal with. Everyone has their financial setbacks and all are looking for ways to tackle their individual problem.
So bringing your problem and presenting it before another get them pissed off or agitated in most cases. Some will even tell you to your face that they also have their problem but they aren't bringing it to you or presenting it before you so why bring yours to them?
For some reason, many don't really see the need to lend a helping hand to another person in need.
While some people are just obsessed with the **I Don't Have Money** Syndrome. Most of these people with this obsession don't lack the money like they claim to. Some of them might be that they have the money but they just can't imagine themselves spending the money on what they may consider being less valuable.
For example, some people have the money but they can't spare you because they have plans for the money and you coming to them to ask for it will leave them with nothing but the popular *I don't have the money*. They just can't risk using that money for any other purpose aside from what they had originally kept it for or planned for.
Sadly, our youths have furnished this syndrome into something that sounds kinda pleasing to them which is **I AM BROKE**
I don't know how someone could take pleasure in telling another person that he or she is **broke** like how? I don't get it. What is breaking you? Money? Funny enough some of us have been victims of this.
It's ok not to act generously. I mean, it's not everyone that was meant to give. If you can't do it then don't force and no point making a fool of yourself by saying you are broke.
It's fine to tell a person that the money you have is meant for something else aside from whatever it is the other party wanted to use the money for and that you can't risk using it for some other purpose.
It's your money, you are entitled to it and you choose to spend it however and whichever way you like.
Constantly saying you are ***broke*** or that ***you don't have money*** puts you in that state by default, like it or leave it.
You will always see yourself lacking in one way or the other. It's like using your own mouth to destroy your life and shutting your financial doors.
Quit the **I Don't Have Money** Syndrome and start building your finance. Don't try to justify selfishness and self-centeredness with being broke.
The same thing goes for investments. No matter how a person tries to sweet talk you into investing in something you know you aren't interested in or you just can't take the risk, you have every right to tell the person **NO!** I am not gonna do this no matter how promising you claim the project to be. My money isn't just for this and I can't risk throwing it there.
Don't make a mistake of being a coward and hiding under the covering of **I Don't Have Money** Syndrome.

Craft: How To Make Drum Kit Using Carton
What a way to start the new week? Doing one of my favorites; **Crafting**
So today I made a drum set. It took me three straight hours to get this done. It's time-consuming and very tiring. I bet you might not even wanna try but I am not discouraging you.
Talking about music and musical instruments with someone inspired this work. I decided to give it a try. I wanted to start with my best musical instrument; **The Piano** but then I changed my mind and went for a set of drums. I am sure next time I will work on piano and maybe guitar as well.
This set isn't complete, I am still missing a few instruments to make it complete, but as I said, it was too time consuming and very tiring so I couldn't complete it so I just ended it with this set.
The ones I have here are;
Bass drum
Snare drum
High tom
Mid tom
Hi-hats
Low/floor tom
Materials Used
Carton
A4 paper
Top gum
Scissor
Pen
Pin
Toothpick
Cotton bud
Steps And Process
The first thing I did was to cut out a plain carton, then use different sizes of round shape and sketched out circles on the carton.
After which I carved out all the circles I drew on the carton and then I measured the rectangle shape and cut out of the carton and also peeled one side of the carton.
I measured the same size of the rectangle carton on A4 paper and cut it, applied gum on the carton, and pasted the A4 paper, left to dry.
Here is the front view of the pasted A4 paper on the carton. I trimmed out the remaining edges and make it smoother
I applied top gum to the rectangular carton and then picked two circles and stick it together with the rectangular carton. The first one I made is the **low/floor tom**
I used the same process and procedure with the rest of the tom. The snare tom, the mid tom, the bass tom, and the high tom. After finishing the five toms, I trimmed it.
I captured it from the side. Now you can view the sizes of all the five different tom. From the biggest to the smallest. If you look closely, two look-alike in size
Then I cut small pieces of the carton to design or line the edges of the toms. I peel off one side of the carton, as usual, to get the strokes surface.
I turned all the tom down to take a different shot
Here I cut the toothpick into small sizes and gummed it to the body of each of the drums
I repeated the same process I did when I started with the five drums. This time I am making a layout or stage for the drum set;
Applied the top gum as usual and then gum together with the rectangular carton alongside the two circles.
set the drums stands using a cotton bud
Then I set up everything and here is the final result.
And with this, we have our drum kit all set and ready. I hope to make a piano next time and then I will share it with you all.

My Favorite Movie
Whenever someone makes mention of a **favorite movie** my mind drives all through the movies I have watched both as a child and a grown adult and it is usually centered on a particular movie I watched when I was younger.
The name of the movie is **Akeelah And The Bee**
Akeelah is just an 11-year-old girl who is very smart and intelligent. She could spell words that some of her classmates and even her teachers couldn't. She was known to be the smarter in the whole of their school.
She is smart and bright but she still had her fear. Fear of manifesting and being who she was and who she wanted to be. She lost her dad at a very tender age and since then, her spelling ability didn't have much impact or bring any kind of enthusiasm to the family. Sometimes she watches other kids on the TV competing and wished that someday she too could stand on that stage.
Her mom didn't like the idea. It was only Akeelah's late father that encouraged Akeelah with her spellings and knew how much she loved it. But when her dad wasn't around anymore, she had to bury the idea although she still writes down words she discovers every day and then makes an attempt of spelling them in secret without the knowledge of her mom.
Young Akeelah had a dream but she was also afraid. As a black preteen from a low-income community, she often feels that she does not belong in the competitive world of spelling bees but in the long run, her dream and wish came through with the help of her coach. She was able to outlive her fear and face the crowd. She stood firm on that stage with confidence. Her coach helped her make that dream come through. Not only did she overcome her fears and her dream came through, but also she won the competition.
And do you know the most important part I like most about the movie? It is the quote by ***Marianne Williamson*** which says
**Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.**
That quote has been at my fingertips right from the moment I watched that movie as a young girl. I guess why I did love the movie so much is because I used to love spelling too. I really can't tell how much I loved dictation or spelling. We use to have spelling completion in school, we usually do it among our friends and each time our English teacher does spellings, I usually get a high score.
I loved using big grammars and words whenever I speak or write. I didn't always like using small words or grammar at a young age but now, I don't do that again. Making use of big grammar and words doesn't make you smart or the most intelligent funny enough lol.
If you are intelligent then you are, not until you blast out big grammars and words lol.
Though all my spelling books and diary are still intact. I only read or study the dictionary once in a while and not as often as I used to when I was small.
This is a movie I will never forget as long as I live cause it already had a lot of impact on me and each time I long for it, I usually search it and watch it over and over again, I never get bored watching it. This is how much I love this movie lol.

My Culture And Marriage Rites
Recently I have been thinking so much about marriage, not because I will be getting married anytime soon but because I have lots of people around who are and those still in the planning phase.
For this reason, I just see myself reminiscing all the marriage rites and everything that was done during my aunties and uncles' marriage ceremony.
I was a very young child by then and I am certain not to have known much about those marriage rites but as I grew up, I learned more about marriage and marriage rites and a few things about it. I believe as I grow more, I will find out more about those things.
Today I thought of sharing about our marriage conduction and demands. I want you all to have a glance at how marriage ceremonies are conducted in my culture and tribe. I am an Ibibio girl so you should be expecting Ibibio Marriage Rituals.
I will tell you most of the things you need to know about our culture and how we conduct our marriages here.
Marriage Process And Rites
**NDIDIONG UFOK**
The first stage in the process of marriage is what we call **Ndidiong Ufok** in my language which means **Knowing The House**. Does it sound a bit funny lol? In my culture that is the very first step and thing to do. During this stage, the groom's family, some members of the family will get to know the family of the bride and where they are going to marry the bride from, and possibly most of the things they seek to know about the bride and her family.
**NKONG UDOK**
Nkong Udok is the second stage and what this actually means in English is **Knocking On The Door**. Now this stage is when the groom's family makes a formal declaration of their intentions. And what are those intentions? It is that they are seeking their daughter's hand in marriage. They usually go along with a few items like palm wine, bitter kola, etc. It is also during this stage that the marriage list is given out to the groom's family. This list consists of things they need to buy and things they are to pay for.
**UNÓ MKPO**
This is when the items listed are given to the bride's family. **Uno Mkpo** means **Giving Something** and what are those things? If you really wish to know, come and marry from my tribe then you will know hahaha.
This stage is when the prospective groom delivers all the marriage items to the family of the proposed bride.
And this action is very significant among the Ibibio people; my tribe because this is to show or mark the level of seriousness of the prospective groom towards his bride-to-be.
source https://cdn.thenigerianvoice.com/story/XGltYWdlc1xjb250ZW50XDMxMzIwMTc5MjE0Ml9icmlkZXByaWNlMi5qcGd8MTAyNHw3Mjg=.jpg
These three stages are very important before going into the marriage proper. And we call it **USORO NDO** which is **Traditional Marriage** So before the main Traditional Marriage, the above three stages must be well executed.
**TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE**
During the Traditional Marriage, before the bride is finally handed over to the groom, there are certain things that are usually done on that ceremony day and I am going to list them out.
**Opening Entertainment**
In opening entertainment, the groom’s direct entourage, not all invited guests are escorted by maidens or women of the bride’s family to the sitting room in the family house. And in the sitting room, assorted types and varieties of food are displayed before the groom's family. I still remember this during my aunty's marriage ceremony. lol.
The essence of such an opulent display is to assure the groom and his entourage that the prospective bride knows a lot about food and will thus feed her husband well.
The varieties of food displayed are usually; boiled and sliced cassava chippings (edita iwa), cassava fofo, pounded yam with assorted soups and in the modern era, fried rice garnished with salad, roasted palm fruits (aduek eyop), palm kernel seeds (isip), etc.

**Negotiation Phase**
This phase is usually the most exciting. This phase always comes with the need for profuse employment of proverbs, repartees, tropes, fables, jokes, anagrams, and once in a while outright clowning. Unfortunately, modern trends have gradually cut from the time used for negotiations in the past decade to the present time when it has been completely eliminated. Everything requested, given, and accepted is done days before the public is invited.
But in the olden days and how it used to be done before, two friendly but ***‘warring’*** parties are arranged opposite each other as the negotiating teams of the bride’s family and the groom’s family. What the bride’s family takes into the house in terms of quantity and quality ultimately depends on the skill of the chief negotiators on either side rather than on the **“List”** earlier submitted and even discussed in private by the two families.
**The Search**
This part got me laughing because I remember when I was a child, I was used as the bride during my aunty's marriage ceremony. In our culture, during the search, the bride isn't supposed to come out on the first call. It is always either a small child is taken out or an adult lady is taken out to meet the groom, then the groom would reject saying that it isn't his wife before the real wife is brought out from her hiding place.
***A better explanation to this phase is that;***
The bride, being a very precious being, is **‘hidden’** till the scenes regarding requests, offer, and acceptance of items in the ‘List’ have played themselves out in full. The groom’s team, about now becoming impatient and getting restive, openly demands the appearance of the subject of their mission – the bride. They are told to organize a search party, during which a woman in the bride’s family will be persuaded to lead the search team. She makes demands, makes at least two trips, appearing with females other than the bride (usually an old woman and later a little girl).
By the third trip, the bride is escorted by a long dance train comprising females of her age group, friends, and family. The bride is usually elaborately dressed and decked with trinkets and bracelets from the hair to the ankles. It is a triumphant moment for both parties after a long battle of wits.
source https://www.ibomweddings.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/IMG_7213.jpg
**Seeking Parents' Blessing**
After the real bride is matched out from her hiding. The couples are made to seat down while the ceremony kicks off properly. And during this process, a glass of wine is given to the bride to go and seek for her parent's blessing and that of the groom's family, and then finally the groom. The essence of going around with the wine is that each parent will take a sip of the wine, and then utter words of prayers to their daughter and her husband before the husband takes the last sip to seal those prayers upon their lives.
source https://i.ytimg.com/vi/H0NknD2GnOk/maxresdefault.jpg
**The Nuptial Dance**
This phase marks the end of the marriage ceremony of joining the two couples together. The new couple dances to music supplied by a band set or traditional dance group. While money is being sprayed on them and other people, family, friends, and loved ones come out to dance with them and share in their joy.
There are other minor performances that are done or carried out during the marriage ceremony which I haven't mentioned here.
But with these few things, I am sure you have a glimpse of what a typical **Ibibio Traditional Marriage** is or what it looks like.
**This is My Culture! My Tribe!**
