I was still lying on the bed watching an interesting short clip from YouTube after finishing up with my morning routine, and then my phone beeped. It was my friend and I was like "Why is she calling me?" my mind thought perhaps she want to ask for a favor because Peace doesn't call like that, we only chat on WhatsApp and it's once in a while. But, to be sincere, when we chat, It feels like we shouldn't stop the flow because we would definitely find something to talk about- going from relationship to career and to our future and before we know it, we are through with our gisting and then close the chapter. But I was wrong! Peace was calling for a different thing.
Hi "miss" that's how she do call me. Afterall, I am not married and after exchanging greetings, she shouted "We have picked a date, I am getting married soon and it's in......" she told me the date and month and I was really happy for her. Peace and her boyfriend have been together for years even before we met in a teaching school. We were both colleagues and were fond of each other before I finally left for my degree study. Since then, we have been chatting and calling ourselves.
To be frank with you, I was so happy but at some point, I became sad because my friends are getting married. Where did I go wrong? Am I not beautiful or attractive enough to bring a man closer to me? What am I not doing right? These were questions popping in my head without any answer. Quickly, I came back from my thoughts and she was like "You must come for my wedding oo". But unfortunately, I told her I won't make it to her introduction which will take place in Abuja. I can't actually make it because my exams fall in that month and I can't risk it for the wedding but I promised her to attend her court wedding at Lagos. I can still make it, so I already planned of staying with my Sister in Lagos. Now, I am gonna meet my sister and know where she lives.
I was so happy for her that I congratulated her in advance and we ended the call. From that day, I have been saving up enough money so I won't be delayed or stopped from attending my friend's court wedding. I went to the market to get my beautiful shoe and gown and was getting prepared because the event was fast approaching. I bought a new wig for myself and was fully prepared for that day.
AND THE DAY FINALLY CAME.......
I have left school for Lagos a day to the event and slept at my Sister's place. She was so happy to see me after a long time. We both gisted and she gave me the direction on how to get to the court. The next morning, I put on my gorgeous slimming sky blue gown, with a black shoe and a nude small bag, and I started the journey to Ikoyi Registry. It took me 45 minutes to get there. Lagos traffic is hell of a thing but I was happy I got there before the program started. I met my friend in her white wedding gown sitting beside her "soon to be hubby" putting on a white shirt, black suit with a black tie to match. His shoe was shining and it looks like God intentionally threw it down for him to put on. Lol
Both of them were smiling and looking at themselves. As soon as I entered, she screamed and jumped on me. Everybody in there were looking at us with shock but I don't care. We greeted and I saw that happiness in her. Finally she is Mrs, I whispered into her ears while she smiles. A friend too was there and we both sat behind her and we were waiting for our turn as there are two couples before us. We immediately used the opportunity to take some pictures outside and we went back to sit waiting for our turn.
I was still sitting down when a guy sitting next to me, I guess he is also one of the groom's friend, looked at me and smiled bringing his hand forward for an handshake. I looked at him brimming with face while we exchanged hands. My name is Edward, I also told him my name. We didn't know my friend and her husband have been called while I was lost in Edward's cute face with his pink lips shining on me. "Is he the one?" "Has God finally answered me?"
Then suddenly, I heard my name being called, I quickly came back from my imagination and the way I was visualizing everything was being disrupted by my neighbor.
Wait! Did I put you guys in suspense? Don't mind me ππ
My friend's wedding is coming up in the month of August and it's her court wedding after doing her traditional wedding at Abuja. Since I won't be making it to Abuja, I don't want to miss that of Lagos own. This is also an opportunity to meet some of my Virtual friends who are living in Lagos. It would be a great day for me. I looked forward to that day by God's grace.
SOMETHING TO KEEP YOU CALM
Seeing the world of Cryptocurrency today, one would want to give up by selling all their coins. It is normal. We know for every success, there is a tough moment. We are in the tough moment and bear market is everywhere. But one thing I would want us to hold onto is that this shall soon pass. It may take 6 months or more to recover, but it will surely bounce back. This is a very big opportunity to accumulate more Satoshi and never look at the dollar. Then Hodl and sell if only you have a good reason to do that. But don't forget to buy back when you have money. Keep them on Hodl and it will be the greatest moment for us then.
