"The Birthday Preparation"

Most couples around the world pray and ask God to be blessed with a child. To have a child makes your life extra adventure.

From pregnancy, check-ups, giving birth and everything you have done for your child are so special and all worth it.

The first memorable day of a child is the day she/he was being born, next when she/he was baptized, and the upcoming 1st birthday.

I gave birth to my second child last year January 27, 2021, and she is now turning 1 this coming January 27, 2022. We are all excited to celebrate her 1st birthday but we need to celebrate it with a small number of guests due to the new variant of covid-19 which is the Omicron variant.

Since we are now in the new version of living in this time, where all of the things in the supermarkets and even in the Malls are not price friendly, I decided to DIY the decorations for my daughter's 1st birthday and her 1st birthday photoshoot.

These are the things I prepared for my daughter's 1st birthday DIY decoration.

Last 2 weeks ago I order the materials I needed to do the DIY decoration for my daughter's 1st birthday in Shopee and it was delivered yesterday.

The first I purchased is the lace curtains for the backdrop, I check out 3 pcs of them. I purchased it first because it was on sale and it is a huge help for me to save money. The shop name is Shop_all777 where you can choose any design of curtains, they have a lot of designs and all of the products are very affordable.

Next, is the balloons, the number balloons, and the balloon connector. I checkout 100pcs balloons since I may use more balloons for the decoration I am going to design. The shop name is life living, you can also purchase kitchen tools and materials for cooking in this shop.

This is the design of the decoration I and my husband want to create. A simple but elegant decoration is more beautiful than a lavish decoration because the most important and the highlight is the celebration and the celebrant itself.

The DIY 1st Photoshoot

Since I have a DLSR camera, yesterday, with the help of my cousins and aunts we have done doing the 1st birthday photoshoot of my daughter.

They really both enjoy the photoshoot.

DIY birthday online-invitation

With the help of the Canva App, I can now make invitations easily, and since it's pandemic we sent the invitations online. Sending invitations online is one of the best hacks to save money.

Note:

For all the parents out there that are also preparing for the upcoming birthday of their child/ren, we have to be careful about the planning process for the upcoming birthday celebration. We should consider many things that may affect the celebration.

What are the important things to consider:

• Budget -we should plan the celebration according to the allotted budget. We should think about the negative impact if we will not follow the budgeting plan. We need to consider the after-party scenarios than just focusing on the party itself.

• Visitors- we should track the number of visitors since we have a budget plan. Tracking and counting visitors to invite is not an ugly attitude, it is a mature mindset. Tracking means preventing the common problem we experience during celebrations.

• The place or reception - if you are planning to celebrate outside your residence, you should consider the place if it is convenient for you and your visitors. Always remember to follow your budget plan to avoid a shortage of budget.

• Foods- we should respect our visitor's religion when choosing a menu for the food to be served during the celebration. Not all your visitors can eat the menu you prepared or choose. Must consider different types of food on your menu.

These are the most important things to remember and consider always when planning and handling events.
