Our differences between each other are what make us unique individuals.
At the age of 25, I already have two kids a son aged 4 years old and a daughter aged 1-year-old, and I am blessed to be their mother. Being a mom is a full-time job that you cannot quit or file for leave, it takes courage, love, care, unending understanding, and everything in you, not just you but from both of you the mother and father.
In this generation, the first problem that parents will face is the disciplining stage because we all know that this generation is different from our generation before. The environment is one that also influences child behavior and it all starts with the environment inside your house that is why parents should take responsibility for how their child/ren acts or behave outside and towards others.
As I observed to my growing kids, they grow up differently and that is proof that every individual in this world is unique.
So, What are the things that I observed with my kids?
Let me share first my son's side;
My son name is Vohn Ezeckhiel, Vohn is the combination of my name and his father's first name and Ezeckhiel is from the Bible but I just change the spelling, I put a name that came from the Bible because according to my grandma if you pray for that baby to survive you should put a biblical name.
The day when I gave birth to him via cesarean section operation, he is alive and kicking baby boy, he is awake for the whole night and the thing that I was amazed at is he has this communication skill. He knows where to find the speaking voice and this picture is the proof.
When he turns 1 month old, he communicates already using baby bubbling words, and when you talk to him he responded. He also shows his ability in the eye to eye contact.
When he turns two months, he already recognized the voice and smile back when his name will be called by somebody. He also responds to animal sounds.
When he turns 3 months, we can play with him and he giggles a lot. He also responds to baby bubbling words when you talked to him.
When he turns 4 months he knows how to roll over without any support and guidance. He can also stand up with adult support.
When he turned 5 months he knows to identify family members.
When he turns 6 months, he knows how to copy sounds of animals that he heard outside the house.
When he turns 7 to 10 months he knows how to copy facial expressions and facial activities, copy sounds of animals, identifies colors and objects, and in his 11 to 12 months he knows and memorizes names and sounds of different animals.
When he ages 1-year-old his teeth are now complete and to 4 years old(current age) he already memorizes and he can classify different types of dinosaurs, can trace his name, can color on his activity on his own.
And he also knows how to respect elders, a loving, sweet, and caring brother to his sister.
While his sister is so different from him, growing up Vehn Aurea loves to sleep, she is a sleep addict baby since she was born.
She wakes up only when she's hungry and then after that she back to sleep. This routine continues for up to 5 months that's why she is a big healthy baby. Even she is a sleeping princess, we track her development and progress every month.
When she is 1- 3month old, she can also recognize voices and respond to them. She can roll over when she is in her 3 months old, she loves to play with her color hanging toy, and then after that, she sleeps.
When she is 4 to 6 months old, she can now speak words such as mama and papa, nana and baba. She can also participate in pictures takings, she also loves sleeping with music.
In her 7 months to 10 months, she can now sit, crawl, play with her toys, identify sounds of animals, can do blocks arrangement, can identify music tones, and sing using humming techniques. She also has 4 teeth this time.
In her 11 months to 12 months, she can stand on her own, identify animals using the sounds, she is actively want to play with toys than watch nursery rhymes on a cellphone or laptop. She is now a jolly, loving, and loves to eat baby girl.
The reason why I track and record the development and differences of my kids is that I can manage and know what is the kind of discipline techniques and strategies to use. As a mom/parent you should know how to implement disciplinary action towards your child/ren and you cannot generalize it because they have different attitudes and characteristics.
Example:
My first child is a serious type of child, he loves exploring in the academic area. He loves to learn more about things and his knowledge is wide than an ordinary child because he was diagnosed as an advanced kid. This kid is a science and technology lover.
My second child is a physical activity lover, she loves to play, socialize with her aunts and uncles, she loves to eat food than his brother and she has less interest in watching videos on a cellphone or laptop.
They are so different from each other as you can read, that's why I and my husband need to know what is discipline methods I and my husband need to apply to each of them.
Wake up in the reality that every individual is different and unique.
Note to All Parents:
Discipline your kids according to their characteristics, attitudes, and behavior, and let them participate during the implementation of the rules and regulations in the house so that they can understand it well. We, the parents are not perfect we commit mistakes that's why you need to hear the voice and side of your children in short let them explain. Communication is the key to better discipline.
