Well this is a controversial question which has been troubling everyone since ages . First of all
What is money ?
Money is the count of the number of years of financial freedom that you have accumulated overtime . And yes there is a huge difference between being rich and being wealthy . But is financial freedom the measure of happiness.
Being wealthy is the step that comes after being rich .
Assume you have all the money that you demanded and you are now a millionaire.
What difference can money make to you ?
You can now go to expensive restaurants
You can buy expensive gifts , cars, yachts , beautiful home .
You can now have summers in the Hawaai , Winters in coratia and springs in Thailand .
You can buy better cars and you can always buy better things for each and every member of your family .
You can do charity
You can now travel in business class.
Have equally rich gf/spouses or both at the same time.
And and and?? Is there something more ?? Think of every other thing beyond this that you can do . You see the list number of things that you can do is not that long .
Do I mean to say money is not important ?? No, absolutely not !!
The “ Being wealthy” part lies in the little things that you do everyday .
Its okay to not have a “Lamborghini”, but its not okay to be rude to beggars.
Its okay to not have a 5000 sq.ft apartment with sea view , but its not okay to not have a life whose sole “ Purpose “ is “Money”.
Its okay to not be on the news and have a 1.2 M Instagram follower , but its not okay to be taking love for granted and not have a love story that lasts a lifetime.
Its okay to not be on the “Top “ , but its not okay to be judging people based on their “ Appearance” .
Switch off yourself and go find a place where you can clearly see the starlight , find a place away from city lights where the only disturbance would be your own breathe .
Go on the streets and feed a few stray dogs and you ll see how happy they would look without money .
Go take a break from your high earning job where you were making money and take time to just sit all day with your spouse and have a conversation that lasts a day . You ll know where money stands.
Go take your parents on a simple date and recall your days from childhood and you ll know the things that money can never buy . And do take into account the number of times they cared about how much money you made , “I bet it ll be zero “
Go sing a the most beautiful song with the most “ ugly voice “ no one’s watching .
Just pack your bag and disconnect from internet and every digital thing and go to a place where u can be with nature , you ll know how obsolete money is .
Dig deep down under and find that hobby that you had as a kid and make sure you redo it one more time , you ll know how money didn’t matter when u were a kid.
These are the things you can do without being rich
The entire purpose is to find solace in Solitude.
Its good to have money , but not having it definitely does not make you poor .
You ll be 76 years old and awaiting death I guarantee , it really won’t matter how much money you made back when you were young . All that would matter was how happy you were while you lived everyday. Money definitely brings goodwill and respect but I eternal peace brings you the greatest wealth ‘Solace’
How can you be wealthy ?
Give more than you have
Don’t hold back things that trouble you , get rid of them.
If you take earth’s age into consideration your 75–80 years are just a snap and no one really cares how rich you were . Don’t waste it living for something just as small as “ MONEY” . People will remember you for another 150 years and then after that you are again just some carbon compound that existed long years ago .
Build legacy before building empire.
Be grateful to everyone around you . Even your servants and thank them for their part in your life . You never know which day is the last one.
And lastly
6. Be humble , Its okay to not be rich .
