The act of giving

Happy new month guys, I hope this new month brings joy and success to all of us . I just thought of writing this article to illustrate more on "giving".

What do we mean by "giving" or what do we understand by the "giving" ? When we hear of the word "giving" am sure that the first thing that comes to our mind is "give".

Yeah, Give is to let someone have something as a present,or provide something for someone while Giving is the process by which we make it possible for someone to have something.

Giving is one of the greatest form of humanity, we all need to exhibit this trait so as to enable us to also receive rewards from God. It's such a pity that not everyone has the heart of giving which is very important. Come to think of it, if we are always receiving things from other people then it will give them the impression that you are depending on them and it's sometimes affect our self esteem.

Things that can be given to people:

There are so many things we can give to people, most of us thing that money is the best gift we can give to others, But No, there are still alots of things we can give out to people and that can be really useful to them more than money.

• One of the best and greatest gift we can give to others is "Gospel" ( that is the teaching of the life of Christ). We can really save alots of people through preaching.

• Time: when we are in a moody situation or really missing someone we tend to crave for their time and attention, it's really important for us to spare some time out of our busy schedule for our loved ones , cause it's really helps In making the bond between them stronger.

• Wisdom /advice or counseling: it is the act of impacting one's knowledge on another person. Like for instance , we might be in a difficult situation where we feel like giving up or losing hope then we just need someone to guide us through.

• Resources: are like money,clothes, shoes,shelter and other tangible things. These are alms we give to people to financially or physically assist them and it's the most common type of giving.

Key facts about giving

• According to Act 20 vs 35, Jesus said ' I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember, the word of the lord Jesus, how he said, it is more blessed to give than to receive'.

• For with the same measure that you give to those that's how it will be measured back to you.

• Giving should be done with the right motive and with a clean and good heart.

• No one have ever become poor by giving.

• The hand of a giver is always on top while the hand of a receiver is always and will ever be below of the giver. So it's better to be a giver than a receiver.

• A small gift is better than a big promise.

There's a curse attached to those who have but don't give proverb 28:27 ( and it's says he that giveth unto the poor shall not lack, but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse placed on his head).

Please we should all learn how to give even if it's a little.
