Spirituality has no central doctrine. There is no theological orthodoxy, no approved list of tenets and no single authority. Yet, spirituality is one of the most popular topics of conversation these days. What is the truth about the new age spiritualism? How did this new phenomenon take shape? And where is it taking us? This new age movement is mostly found on the internet and is mainly concerned with life, consciousness and service. It is a new form of spirituality, that has been growing in popularity due to the 21st-century's increased availability of mental practices and community aspirations.
New age spiritualists are people, who investigate inner potential, spiritual consciousness, and spiritual intelligence. If you have been looking for a way to improve your life, you have surely been advised to turn to the "spiritualism". Since life is a journey, in a search for enlightenment, it is natural that many people turn to a spiritual guru, a spiritual leader, a spiritual guide, a spiritual healer, a spiritual medium, or a spiritual mentor. However, when you've been given a vague sense, that this is the path to bliss, you don't really know what's in store.
If you need clarity or peace, you can either turn to religion or spirituality for guidance, but there's another option that you may not have considered. New Age spiritualism is an umbrella term for religious schools, groups, and movements influenced by nature, nature magic, the past, the future, or modern science, that tend to focus on personal or spiritual transformation, rather than institutional belief.
Spiritual Consciousness
The main goal of spiritual consciousness is to understand the nature of reality, and our place in it. How does this reality that we experience every day arise? Is there something bigger that is overseeing and orchestrating everything? Is there a God that makes everything tick? Is there an order in nature that we can tap into to gain power, prosperity and happiness? Is there a path towards enlightenment, where we can realize a state of perfect consciousness?
These are questions that need to be answered so we can have a better understanding of the nature of reality. The important point to remember is that many of these questions only lead to more questions. Unfortunately, no one has ever been able to answer these questions in a definitive way. However, this does not mean that we should stop asking questions. In the new age spiritualism, spiritual consciousness is a useful heuristic, that is, a useful (if imperfect) tool for gaining insight.
Spiritual Intelligence
At its core, spiritual intelligence is a disposition towards inner knowing, the ability to read subtle inner cues in order to divine information with appropriate accuracy. In a sense, one who is "spiritually gifted" is simply one who has developed this disposition. However, this may be further refined through one's own experimentation. For instance, some people may find it easier to focus their divination towards specific areas, such as love and abundance.
Others may find it harder to focus in a specific way. For instance, someone with strong clairvoyant abilities might be better suited for investigating the future, while someone with strong mediumistic abilities might be better suited for communicating with the dead. Of course, there are many other ways to cultivate one's own spiritual gifts and this is where one's own experimentation can take over.
Inner Potential
Spiritual intelligence typically manifests as inner potential. Everyone has potential, and everyone has the potential to develop this inner potential. However, this depends on how much effort one is willing to put into cultivating this potential. This is why it is often said that all things are possible, if only one is willing to put in the effort. In this way, the law of attraction is akin to natural selection. For instance, if one is willing to put in the effort to become more spiritually aware, then they will reap the reward of that effort.
However, one may also fall victim to the "law of failure". That is, they may put in the effort, but they may not succeed in their goal. This may be due to the fact, that their ability is not yet ready to manifest in a significant way. What this means practically is that inner potential manifests in two manners. The first manner is through synchronicity.
This is where the inner and outer worlds seem to align so that the person is able to know the future, the present, and sometimes the past through a sort of clairvoyance. The second manner in which inner potential manifests is through dreams. In this state, the person is able to revisit memories, relive experiences, and see into the future. Both of these states of awareness are useful insofar as they give the person a look into the future, present, or past. Depending on the state of awareness, that the person is more or less capable of entering.
While, typically, inner potential manifests in one of these states of awareness, it is important to remember that it is only one manifestation of the potential itself. The potential always exists, even if it doesn't always appear. In this way, we can talk about the development of a person's natural gifts. For instance, we could talk about someone's innate potential to heal, and someone's innate potential to socialize.
Naturally, those who have developed these gifts to a high degree will have an easier time accessing these states of awareness. They may be more "psychically inclined" towards specific types of divination. On the other hand, they may be able to access other types of divination more so. One cannot be said to have a "natural gift" for divination if they cannot access that type of divination at all.
Ultimately, it is up to the person to develop their spiritual gifts in a way that is most comfortable and effective for them. Some people find meditation and exercises to be effective in further developing their abilities, while others find other types of activities to be more beneficial. The important thing to keep in mind is that each person is unique and what is most effective for one person may not be as effective for another. With this in mind, it is useful to think about how we can help someone develop their potential in a way that is most beneficial for them.
I do not know if it is about spiritual intelligence, but meditation, relaxation music and the so-called bilateral music have helped me a lot to treat my sleep problems, and I would say that they have almost completely reduced the problem of not being able to sleep. .
