The Chase

Breathlessly, he ran deeper as Leo chased him. How would he escape this looming death in the hands of a ravenously hungry animal? With the last strength he could mutter, Vicky jumped over the right and then a dead log. Leo kept up the chase and this was the only chance to survive the summer in the wild.

The further he ran, the darker it became. But he dare not stop running. At some point, his mind was beginning to think of the best way to die. Definitely, not in the hands of a wild beast. He thought, that the best way was to lay in bed and pass to the great beyond.

Climbing up the tree isn't the best option, Leo is a good climber too. So, Vicky kept running, looking back and forth if the hungry Leo was closer or he was farther.

Up in the wild, there is a bright light but still like a mile away. Now, he began to pace faster with the last strength he could pull. He ran towards the light, yet it kept distancing the more.

Certainly, I am not going to end like this. All my dream of becoming a computer analyst and software engineer can't just end here in the wild where no one will see my carcass.

This thought kept coming to Vicky as he ran.

Now he got stuck. A big chasm between the wild and the next natural habitat. How could he jump over before Leo gets here?

If I die down the chasm, trying to jump over, isn't it better than to watch Leo eat up my flesh?

Vicky moved back and with speed jump through the rift and landed on the other side.

When Leo arrived, it just stood there gazing at the mouth-watering delicacy that have escaped from its claws. Vicky stood akimbo from this end, watching how Leo was gasping for breath. He then walked away towards the light on the hill.

The thick bushes around the building were impenetrable. So, Vicky had to go round to see if he could enter the old-looking royal building. As he got closer, he perceived the smell of blood. His countenance changed.

Just by the drainage from the main building, Vick spotted a human leg, crossed out from the reed, he got closer and found a teen girl sobbing, her voice gone from screaming for help. She folded her hands around her chest, with a black eye she lay there helpless.

She is the victim of some worthless men who had broken through her tight and left her there helpless

The danger now seemed bigger than the wild chase he had a moment ago.

She was shivering from the cold that have entered her naked body after that those worthless fellows have torn her clothes apart to gain entrance.

There in the bush, they both looked on to the tarred road and a vehicle pulled over and some men wielding weapons emerged and entered the old-looking building.

Vicky ensured that they have all entered. He picked the sobbing girl, cross over to the road and broke the drivers side glass and open the passengers door. He cut one the ignition site, ignited the car and zoomed off.

As they car sped off, one of the weapon-wielding men jumped out from the building and shot at the car but it had sped off.

Knowing that it's game up time, they parked all their belongings. The cash vault, the cocaine cases, and all identifiable evidences that detectives could use to trace them.

Where they loaded he only SUV in their garage, Fridaus the leader of the team received a phone call from the allying detective

Evacuate the building. A team of SWAT will be invading the arcade now. Don't leave any traces.

Hurriedly, they packed all their belongings and moved southwards into forest region into the old Mexican city where crime is served like continental dish every passing day.
