She Isn't Mad.

She has been secretly tied down for two years to avoid family shame. This had been after several vigils have been held with fasting and prayers to accompany seeking the face of God for divine healing. This is the case of Amaka, the senior prefect girl of Oceans College.

She was just sixteen years old. Eighteen days after the little celebration of her sixteenth birthday, Amaka just started talking out of sense. First, her mum asked her:

Amaka, have you taken your bath today?

Yes, mom, did that in the kitchen, Amaka replied.

Do you mean you had your bath in the kitchen?

No. That's where I washed the clothes you requested.

Now, things are getting weird. Mrs. Johnson knew something must be wrong but she didn't raise any alarm. She waited for her husband to get back from work. The last time this happened, Pastor Mark was invited to pray for Amaka. She was normalized after the prayers.

When Mr. Johnson arrived after a very hectic day at the office. He showered and is his dinner. Then Mrs. Johnson began.

That night, they prayed fire and brimstone. They cast and bind as much as they could. It was a serious prayer session. They prayed from twelve midnight through 3:00 am.

When everyone woke up in the morning, Amaka did not show any sign of been depressed. So, everyone went their way after breakfast.

During the assembly of students in school, the science teacher was announcing the results of the Inter-school science competition the science students attended the previous day when Amaka screamed from behind.

Now, they had to tie her. She had been in this position for two years. Until Mrs. Johnson's colleague at the office told her that not all sorts of mental ailments are spiritually connected.

She told her that her son had a similar issue and they sought medical attention only to be told that he was deficient in vitamin 12.

We started the medication and after eight months, he became well again.

Take her to any psychiatric hospital, you will be amazed that it is not what you think. That evening, Mrs. Johnson who had lived in worries since Amaka took I'll beam a sigh of relief.

That evening, husband and wife discussed reached a compromise to take her to the federal psychiatrist hospital in the state capital. They untied Amaka the next morning and all journeyed to the hospital. It was a long day because many similar cases were reported. When they finally met with the doctor, they were asked to carry out some medical tests.

You will be amazed to know that the outcome says she has vitamin B-6 deficiency and was placed on medication. That was all, Amaka became well again. She wasn't mad as speculated.

Who knows whether those acclaimed mad people are only deficient in one vitamin or the other.
