Presidential Blackmail

Blaq and his brother Jordan looked so much alike. Despite their differences in age, Blaq still look exactly like Jordan. Jordan was an easy going guy. He is the fine boy of his street, wearing some designers clothes and cute hair cut. Whereas, Blaq is the direct opposite. He was involved in all manners of deal. He had been once accused of gun running but since there wasn't any concrete evidence against him, the police department could not order his arrest. 

At some point, Blaq got a glimpse of a drug syndicate hideout for making exchanges. He thought it was an opportunity to follow up and see how he could break the deal and cart away the cash or the drug. 

The empty warehouse where the desk is to be made is far from the main town. The two different groups, one with a suitcase filled with hard currency and the other with a computer hard disk with information against the president for money laundering. 

The first group that arrived was a sect of the opposition party who needed the data to ruin the personality of the incumbent president. They had mounted security around the warehouse but somehow black was able to beat through the guards and took a close distance where he recorded all the proceedings against the president. 

After the deals the two groups exchanged the what they had to present to each other and left the warehouse. Blaq, the last man standing left few minutes after the place had been deserted. 

That evening when Blaq got home, he wasn't feeling uneasy and Jordan noticed it. 

Egbon (Big Brother), what's up? You're kinda moody. 

Blaq chuckled back at Jordan and said

Am good man. No qualms. I just need to have some rest. 

At this instance, Jordan walked away for Blaq's room to the kitchen to pour for himself a cold cup of water. 

Meanwhile, Blaq played the video he had recorded to listen to the conversation between the two groups. Now it is clearer to know that they both wanted the government to lose power.

The government just initiated whistle blowing to expose corrupt politicians. And whoever does the reportage will be handsomely rewarded. 

Just as the announcement was made, the group that bought the information went on to broadcast it on national television. It was a strange move but they took it. Blaq was caught unawares. He started thinking of what to do and how to help the president escape the snare of the fowlers.

When the president saw the indictment against him, he considered resigning so that the full weight of the law could prevail. He was sure he had not dipped his hands in any dirty deal that would undermine his person and the office of the president. 

His allies would rather the prosecution of the president should wait until after his term in office. By law, the president is covered by the power of incumbency called immunity not to be sued. However, the office of the President can be sued but not his person. Hence, he concentrated on the official task he has before him. 

The political enemies of the president have been working tirelessly to ensure the secret is revealed. But in fact, there is no secret. The group that gathered the information about the President didn't do a thorough job, they just merely got a glimpse of a transaction made with a multinational company on importing trains for the newly constructed rail lines. 

All the while, Blaq have been following on the trend of the politics played against the president and misinformation given to the people. He just was waiting for the right time to strike. 

On the whole, when it got to the investigation of the money laundering against the president, the accusers could not surface with the information they have gathered. All efforts to bring the detractors to book proved abortive.

On the evening of the first hearing when the accused refused show up before the tribunal, Jordan and Blaq were watching the news report on Channels television. Blaq determined to exposed those who plot against the President.

He sought for an email address to send a message that he knows those who accused the president of money laundering. The information go to the handler of the president's who in turn informed the president. 

 Since Blaq could not come to defend the material in his possession as to who was involved in the indictment, the secret service to get him arrested. 

Immediately the order was issued, Bkaq was arrested through the tracking of the device used to send the email across to the president.
