A City That Never Goes To Sleep

Don't loud it!

This is the simplest way to live life around here. Whatever you wish to do, go down low as much as possible. Craving to make people know you got what you do or who you are and the weight you carry may bounce back on you.

You know that kind of grammar people will begin to blow hot when you hit their vehicle. That's what I mean.

Have you heard that special song by one Nigeria music star, Tony Tetuila? #YouDonHitMyCar

Wahala never dries up here. It is your duty to steer clear of troubles else, you may begin to record the worst day of your life in the course of living here. By now, you should know where I am talking about.

Lagos-Nigeria.

Let's just gist.

You may want to ask what is particular are we listing, but I assure you, gist #brekete. See, someone is confused here. That word means it's more than enough.

What's so special about this place called lagos? On this, I'd like to take you on a ride.

The City That Never Sleeps

This is the truth. In Lagos, people don't sleep. There are people that watch the gates, receiving the late comers and whatnot.

My first experience on this was what my friend was coming from #Mangu-Jos, a far core north town to Lagos. We had talked during his twenty-seven hours journey to Lagos. And that's with a fast car.

At some point, his phone went off. It became very difficult to know where he had reached.

There was no reason to fear because you can be rest assured that something must happen to keep him safe per adventure he wouldn't be getting down to my place that late night.

Until the next morning, according to the narrative I got from him later, it was fun staying out there for the night.

The motor Park us another life entirely. There was a midnight food restaurant where #amala was served hot and people, especially bank workers and factory workers were on the ground to eat up.

Worries?

That doesn't come with Lagos. There is nothing to be worried about. This city paves the way for you to meet and build an empire with less stress.

The population is quite intimidating for you to structure a business and succeed at it. A lot of millionaires have been made in Lagos from the consistency they put in their works. Many more will be made with this new evolution of internet marketing and business development.

To say that Lagos and fun are synonymous would be an understatement because the fun you seek elsewhere is right here in Lagos. Five-star hotels are increasing by the day.

The city also has created a mixture of life standards on the basis of personal income for dwellers. Of course, you should expect that for every emerging city.

On the island or the highbrow part of Lagos where all the luxury exists, the cost of living is very high.

While on the mainland, the stratification is glaring too.

The natural divide has also made it an easy statistic for the poor and rich with the presence of the Atlantic ocean shores that cut across the city creating the island and mainland.

I love it here because all ethnic groups are duly welcome to live. The racism our people elsewhere complained about is non-existing here.

Today being Friday, people are returning home from work, hastily they want to get home to settle for the weekend and relax as much as possible. Some people would take the time to pray all night in the vigil.

We are currently going through a different period in our history as a people. Together we held the world to a standstill when we protested against bad governance during the #Endsars protest at the #LekkiToPlaza

The trend has since changed, and people are beginning to gain political confidence.

Before now, political empathy had been taken away. People do not care what becomes of the state of the nation. Today, music has changed. Everyone wants to participate in the selection process of the leaders.

We are in the election campaign season and everyone is making a statement about who they think should sail the ship of the nation to a cape of good hope. For me, I am #OBIdent. That's the next big talk across the African continent.

Omo no where be like Lagos for this Nigeria. I'm glad to be born and bred in Lagos, Nigeria. Honestly, Lagos never sleeps. There are many times that we go out around 3:00 am and we will feel very safe in our area.
