Nowadays, the use of internet and the use of different gadgets become popular especially to the young teens aging from 12-19 years old or what we called the youth. They are fond of using internet because they use different social media like Facebook, Twitter and many more. Even for their assignments and outputs in the school, they use Google to search for information they need, but they didn’t know if that information is legit and can be trusted. We all know that there were too many fake news and false claims or misleading informations that are circulating online. This will greatly affect the youth since they were the ones who were always using internet. These are the possible effects of misleading and false claims circulating online to the youth.

Fake news is the term that can mean different things depending on the context and it is also often called parodies. It promotes fake information to a certain idea or events. Some youths believe in this misleading information online. These will affect their knowledge about the certain idea and it will lead to confusion if what is real information and what is fake. There is also the possibility that these fake news will spread easily because youths nowadays are fond of using social media in which they share information. Sometimes, these misleading and false claims circulating online are the cause of misunderstandings and make them quarrel and debate online. These misleading informations will lead to the ignorance of the youths.

Therefore, misleading and false claims circulating online will have a bad effects to the youth. To avoid believing to such fake news, we must know the validity of the information and also know the source of information if it can be trusted. We must also become disciplined in what we are sharing online because this may affect the others.

What do you think? Can we always rely on informations that we can get online? Of course not! Just be wary of fake news and misleading information circulating online. Don't just rely information online therefore we can still get legitimate informations from books, newspapers and magazines. There are so many things that we can get on those things. Remember, DON'T GET DECEIVED BY FALSE CLAIMS AND MISLEADING INFORMATION.

Nice article dear. We must double or triple check the information we read on the internet. There are so many ways to know if it is legit or not. Hope everyone do it. Thanks for sharing this to us😊

I hope so too. It's sad to say that there are some people who are just copy pasting anything in the internet without even reading and not checking if it is legit.

Thank you for your response 👍

We should all be careful on what we say or post on social media. There are a lot of fake news and the reason why it spread because of the lack in awareness and critical thinking. If we all learn to investigate before we share or react we can prevent fake news from spreading. Fake news spreads as fast as a virus now and it is alarming.

Yes. That's true. That is why we should be responsible enough on what we share online and always double check what information it gives.

There are more fake news and nonsense on the internet than anywhere else. The difference is these days anyone can post and much just copy-paste. What is written is partly understood and next something else is made up.

Fake news is dangerous especially if it is spread by media, teachers, and governments.

I do believe it is a great source but you should take the time to find the right info. Read everything written about a topic, figure out what those articles have in common, ask yourself questions, and not go for the first answer. It is what (young) people should learn. They need to search for the truth but to understand as well there's more than one truth plus a scientist, the specialist can be wrong too.

Yes that's right. We must not rely always on one source. Getting more sources give us have more data that will help us conclude and find the right information.

It is sad to say that these young people are mostly the victim of these fake news. They don't take time to read, the just want to copy paste, and share some of these information without even reading and understanding it.

Thank you for your response ☺️

A critical attitude is the best way to find answers. I hope more people will search for the truth instead of the confirmation of what they think. 👍

Yes. That would be more effective to lessen the rate of spreading fake news and false claims.

This is very true. I would also like to add that not only the youth are affected by this but also the elderly. Because tthey are new to technology, they cannot discern which is true all the time. And leads to confusion.

Yes it's true. Many of our elders are also engaging to new technology which is they are the once who will adopt slowly in the use of that technology. They will just do things that are new to them and they might have the possibility to share false information online. They have a higher risk of spreading fake.news.
