Not sure if Google trends is a good indicator, however I noticed this pattern. Has some extra free time today to check a few charts and was reminded of google trends too. This one is the search results in the US for the word "Bitcoin" for the past 5 years. It seems there is this strange pattern, that was repeated in 2017 about 3-4 months before the prices reached the top.
