Filipinos love to eat. Filipinos love to sell. Filipinos love to cook. And Filipinos love to street food.
Last week, me and my husband decided to try to sell some breakfast meals in front of our house. This served as extra income for us. We love cooking and eating and we think that this is the business that will fit for us. And another reason, there is usually no lost in Food Business. Because if you cannot sold it all, you can just eat and consume it. And now, I will share to you some of the meals we cook and sold last week in a very affordable price.
On our first day of selling, we cooked Pansit Bihon. Pansit Bihon is a very easy recipe. Its ingredients is also cheap and very accesible. We used Rice Noodles (Bihon), Mixed Veggies that is used in Chopsuey, Kikiam and Chicken Neck. We used Mixed Veggies that is used in cooking Chopsuey because its much cheaper. It also contains all the vegetables needed in Pansit. Another, we used Chicken Neck because its also cheaper than the meaty part. When selling some foods, you need to stay on budget and look for other alternatives without compromising the taste.
The same day, we also cooked Lomi. Its also a noodle soup dish. The ingredients is somehow same as with Pansit Bihon. We also used Chicken Neck, Mixed Veggies for Chopsuey, Squidballs and Eggs. This is very appropriate nowadays because as the Christmas Holiday is approaching, the weather in Philippines is becoming cold. The noodles used is called Molo Noodles.
And lastly to share is the Chicken Arrozcaldo. Its a rice porridge recipe that uses Turmeric that gives it the yellow color. We used Chicken Feet and Chicken Neck because it makes the dish so tasty. Turmeric also removes the smelly and unwanted taste of the Chicken Feet and Neck. It is better to eat in the morning because it nourishes our body and gives us extra energy to do our chores and work for the day. Some add fried garlic and boiled egg to add more taste and flavor.
Seeing those customers being delighted to see what we are selling truly makes me happy. Being able to put up our own mini business is an achievement for me. I am thinking of more recipes to sell so that I can also enhance my cooking skills as well as to give joy to every customer that loves to eat.
I really love to eat street foods it's one of my comfort food.😊
