As Joe Biden is getting ready to be declared the next US president, I just had a flash-back of the Twitter hack that targeted many US celebrities, movie stars or high profile individuals, including old Joe!
Many front page personalities got their Twitter account hacked. Joe Biden, the next US president, Tesla's founder Elon Musk, Amazon's boss Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Barack Obama and Kanye Wes are among the many prominent US top dogs targeted by hackers. Their official Twitter accounts were hacked, requesting donations in cryptocurrencies or offering to double any payment sent to them
In his tween, Elon Musk was offering to double any Bitcoin payment sent to his digital wallet
Apple was ready to support the community and double any payment, whileBill Gates was giving back $2000 for any $1000 sent.
Twitter said it was a "co-ordinated" attack targeting its employees "with access to internal systems and tools"
The BBC found out that the web address - cryptoforhealth.com - was behind the attacks, and some hacked tweets were linked to the email address mkeyworth5@gmail.com. The name Anthony Elias was used for the registration. Cryptoforhealth was also an Instagram, which was set up during the hack. The Instagram profile posted the following message: "It was a charity attack. Your money will find its way to the right place."
My dear friends, please stay alert and never believe such things, no one is giving thousands of dollars for free, or offers to double your Bitcoin. Be smart and avoid this kind of amazing offers. Be vigilant and don't get scammed!
