Splinterlands Weekly Challenge with pirates - Ahoy my Elven Elven Cutthroat

6 59

When I hear elf ... my mind pictures Legolas, the legendary sharpshooter from The Lord of the Rings. Then I will move to World of Warcraft with the Sunwell, magic, immortality, Darnassus and Silvermoon City. Last idea in my head will be the naughty elf in the shelf, who's ready to do pranks and stuff during the festive season. The Splinterlands elves live in the forests, and they are well-known for the battle efficiency and deadly accuracy.

Not all elves dedicated their life to magic, balance and neutrality with the other races. The Elven Cutthroat is a mix of the above, the immortal warrior that dedicated his long life to kill and plunder.

The Elven Cutthroat is an old Alpha/Beta melee neutral card with Sneak ability. You get a good package for 3 Mana: 1 Health Point, 3 Speed and 1 Melee Damage. This card works well with Malric Inferno, as will double the damage.

Battle 1: Demons versus Z0mbies

Battle rules and line-up: Standard battle-rules and only 16 mana cap didn't offer great flexibility. I went for an overpowered melee team, but the enemy summoner nulified Malric's plus one melee damage.

Malric Inferno: +1 Melee damage to friendly monsters

Cerberus: Main Tank with Heal

Ant Miner: Off-Tank with Scavenger

Serpentine Spy: Melee with Opportunity

Elven Cutthroat: Melee with Sneak

Creeping Ooze: -1 Speed to enemy monsters

Furious Chicken: Spicy wings on the menu

I lost one monster and my enemy lost a monster in Round One, while the Ant Miner health grew to 3. The Cerberus nearly died but managed to heal in time.

Round Two had a lot of slice and dice, with the Elven Cutthroat and Serpentine Spy dealing killing blows. Cerberus survived to fight another round while the Ant Miner health grew to 6. Was all against the Haunted Spirit now! See the full battle here!

Battle 2: The Serpent-eating Dog

Battle rules and line-up: Standard battle-rules and 13 mana cap will reduce the selection even more. The choice was Malric again and this time the boosted melee will hit as Bortus power is -1 spell damage.

Malric Inferno: +1 Melee damage to friendly monsters

Cerberus: Main Tank with Heal

Ant Miner: Off-Tank with Scavenger

Elven Cutthroat: Melee with Sneak

Furious Chicken: Spicy wings on the menu

I wasn't affected by the -1 Spell Damage as no caster was selected in my team. The Serpent of Eld dodge ability was the factor that could decide the winner. The Cerberus hit home and the Serpent armor was gone. Ahoy ... my elven threw the enemy Cutthroat down the plank.

The game turned into "One against all" after the first round, and now the Serpent of Eld was trying to survive. He failed as the Elven Cutthroat had a sword swing and ended the duel. See the full battle here!
