Love is painful. You're both going to have to go through a lot of challenges together. Somw might be mild, others might rock the foundation of your relationship to the core. You need to be prepared mentally for a lot of ups and downs if you're going to love each other.
Love might be about letting go. Letting go of a person is one of the greatest ways of loving them. You might see how the relationship is adversely affecting them, and you should be ready to let go of it, for their sake.
