Beware of sudden blessings

Good day dear friends and happy Sunday to you. How is service in your church, I guess it was fine cause mine was awesome. Let me quickly rush through my writing for today which is "beware of sudden blessings".

We all know blessing is a good thing, ofcourse everyone wants to be blessed but on the other hand, we should be careful of the type of blessing that comes too sudden, suspicious and undeserved. I know churches preach about receiving undeserved blessings and even pray for us to receive such and we all say Amen (even me😊).

If we receive a blessing that we have been praying for long time ago, we would be very happy and we would start enjoy our blessing. It's not that type of blessing I'm talking about, what I'm saying is the type of blessing we were not even expecting or we don't even know we can get anytime soon and then it suddenly came, shouldn't we be careful and look through it well? I'm not even saying we shouldn't receive it, all I'm just requesting is a little bit of research.

I know what it feels like to be very happy when you receive a particular blessing, you tend to shut your eye to every other thing around you even if it's a caution against the blessing you just receive, we term everything as "God's blessing". Well there can be God's blessing but we should always remember that the bible says that "the blessing of God maketh rich and he addeth no sorrow with it". So any blessing that is threatening our peace of mind and somehow looks like we would get into trouble soon is not a blessing from God.

I've been watching a particular philipino series for quite sometimes now but an episode of it caught more of my attention because it speaks more on this topic and I will be sharing with you guys.

There is this guy in the series, he is a police officer, a very dutiful one at that, he is so bent on apprehending criminals and he has received a lot of awards for his contribution towards the apprehension of criminals in the country. Because of this, he has so many enemies who wants him to go down and also have friends who live him for who he is. One of his enemies who is also a police officer decided to set him up so he would also look like a criminal. He did several things to frame him for backing up the drug syndicates in their country which one of it is sending someone to ask him to participate in a raffle draw that he was going to win a car if he wins. He concurred and tender his signature out without even checking the content of the raffle draw print I guess because he was overly excited. They later came to his place telling him he won the car and handing over the car key to him and he was asked to sign another document which he did without checking the content again. He later felt some kind of unrest because everything looks like a magic to him but he wasn't so sure if his emotions. To cut the long story short, the car and the signature was later used as part of the evidence to proof that he was supporting the drug syndicates and he was sent to prison.

From my little narrative, it has proof clearly how careful we should be when receiving sudden blessings. Some might just be a trap from our enemies and some might be a set up in disguise like the case of the police officer above. There were lots of things around him he could have paid attention to but he decided to turn a blind eye to it like how those people who came to give him a car knew his house because he never gave them his address. As from today let's be watchful and careful and I pray God gives us the wisdom we need to handle situations like this. Amen!
