A Glimpse of A Perfect Cone
It was February 29,2020 when I traveled towards Legazpi City, Albay.
We were having a family trip and went to different destinations around Albay. But what attracted us the most is the glimpse of a Perfectly Coned-shape Volcano called "Mt. Mayon." I took this photo at the 4th floor of SM City Legazpi where you can see the sun was nearly setting.
Owing to its almost symmetrical conical form, Mayon Volcano, or Mount Mayon, is
well-known around the world as the "full cone" volcano — a special attribute.
This is still the most powerful volcano in the Philippines,
having exploded almost 50 times alone over the last 400 years.
The location is also a
ecosystem area, and a natural forest.
Okay, here's some detail regarding volcano Mayon:
Located in the eastern region of Albay
Stands at 2462 m above sea level
Area covering 250 square kilometres
It is surrounded by the towns of Legaspi, Daraga, Camalig, Guinobatan, Ligao, Sto Domingo, Bacacay, Malilipot and Tabaco.
Was a hybrid cone or a strato volcano named
Causes four types of volcanic activities: lava flows, rai-triggered debris flows, pyroclastic flows, and air-fall deposition
It was a worth remembering scenery.
