So what is sorbet?

The main difference between ice cream and sorbet is that ice cream contains milk and dairy products.

Sorbet can be made with all fruits, but not with the same formula and technique for all fruits.

When making sorbet, first of all, the total sugar ratio of the sorbet should be decided. Then, the sugar content of the fruit is deducted from the total sugar ratio, and thus the amount of sugar that should be added to the sorbet is determined. For a sorbet with an ideal texture and consistency, sugar should be cooked with some water and turned into syrup, and then mixed with the fruit product using a mixer. An important point to remember is that no matter which fruit we make sorbet, some lemon juice must be added to it. How much this will be can be decided by looking at the taste. The reason for adding lemon juice is to bring the taste of the fruit to the fore even more.

Sorbet can be made from any kind of fruit. The important point here is that since the sugar content of each fruit is different, the sugar to be added to the sorbet should be balanced accordingly. Therefore, the sugar ratio of the fruit to be sorbeted should be known very well. In addition, adding a little lemon juice to each fruit sorbet is another flavor-enhancing trick. As the acidity increases, the taste of the fruit sorbet comes to the fore even more. While preparing the sorbet, ice crystals form, the smaller these ice crystals are, the more successful the sorbet will be.

Ingredients for Melon Sorbet Recipe

1.5 kilograms of melon

1 glass of water

juice of 1 lemon

How to Make Melon Sorbet Recipe?

Cut the melon in half. Clean the cores.

Peel the skins of the melons that you have thoroughly cleaned the seeds. Be careful not to get the green parts.

Slice the melons into small pieces.

Put it in the blender and puree your melons.

When it becomes puree, add water and lemon juice and mix.

If you have an ice cream machine; Process for 10 minutes on medium speed until the mixture thickens. Place the mixture in a medium bowl, keep it in the freezer for 24 hours and serve.

If you do not have an ice cream machine; Put the sorbet in a glass bowl. Take it out 1 hour apart, mix it quickly and place it back in the freezer.

After repeating this process 3 times, leave it to listen for 12 hours. You can serve when it gets the consistency of sorbet.
