Fancy Vegetable Rice that goes well with the main course...
Hello, welcome to our kitchen. The smells rising from our kitchen today are the smell of vegetables and buttered rice. Of course, the smell and taste of the food is the most important factor, but the dish must have an appetizing appearance. The image of this colorful pilaf is also very appetizing. This recipe is perfect for any meal. It is the partner of the evening meals and completes the main course. Best friend of great meatballs, lover of meat with sauce. Not to mention chickens, I guess you can imagine how compatible they would be. But without any of that, this rice is eaten alone in one meal. Therefore, it is a satisfying taste even on its own. It always tastes better when we eat peas in season. But we don't always have that opportunity, so frozen peas are our savior. Or it can be used in canned peas. So we can apply this recipe in all seasons. Making rice is a seemingly simple dish, but my grandmother always said that making rice means success. He used to say that making good rice means making good food. There are actually a few tricks. In order for the spilled rice to be made, it must be thoroughly roasted and given time to brew. And the most important thing for me is butter that smells good!
Materials:
2 cups of rice
1 carrot
1 cup of peas
2 tablespoons of butter
sunflower oil
salt
black pepper
1-2 drops of lemon juice
1 teaspoon of sugar
Recipe:
Boil the peas for a bit in a small saucepan.
Drain and shock with cold water, this is an important detail to preserve the color of the peas. Put the oil in a pan and fry the diced carrots.
When the carrots lose their freshness, take the washed and drained rice into the pot and start roasting. The most important detail of making a good pilaf is that the rice is well roasted. Then add the boiled peas to the pot.
Add a few drops of lemon juice and sugar. It's a habit I learned from my mother. I think it's a trick to make the color of the rice clearer. Add 3 cups of water to the roasted rice. Add salt, pepper. Finally, add 2 tablespoons of butter and close the lid and let it brew. Detail.. If the rice has been soaked in water beforehand, 1 to 1 measure should be used. If you are going to cook rice pilaf that has not been soaked in water, the size of 1 to 1.5 cups will not mislead you, and you will make a delicious pilaf that is poured one by one. Of course, water measures may vary according to the type of rice used.
Enjoy your meal. :)
