Last Day...

It's the last day of the year and I made something like this two years ago...so this is a revised version hahaha. Yes, there is always a lot of hype around the end of the year and the start of the new year. A lot of people might wonder why but it's significant for so many people.

Who doesn't love or want a fresh start? We all want to start on a clean slate. We all want a fresh "start over" where we won't have to dwell on the past but rather take the lessons while trying to move on. It's like ridding yourself of the old in order to usher in the new. Some might question how this mentality helps in any way but for some, they would hold on to anything that gives the slightest faint of hope.

Just because you don't understand other people's choices doesn't mean you have to attack it. Sometimes, we just have to let people do what works for them while we do what works for us. Don't take away the hope from others even if you can't see that light or understand it yourself. It is okay if you can't see what others are seeing because we all have different experiences, expectations and exposures. Never discourage others or blow out the faint of hope that others are hanging on to.

We all want a fresh start... I know I do. An avenue where we start all over again and feel good with ourselves with our attempts to do things all over again. We all want to put the horrors of the past behind us, hoping things can take different and positive turns thereafter...the end of the year signify that for most people. For some, it's a change of location, a change of job, a change of friendship circle and for some, it's a change in the calendar year.

The end of the year means a closed chapter and the new year is the start of a new...that offers hope to people regardless of how many times they have fallen or how many times they have failed to stick to their resolutions. I want to be the reason another person can hope and dream again but if you think you can't offer that hope, then leave that person, bid them farewell and go on your own way. You don't need to snuff out another person's light because it doesn't mean it would make yours shine brighter. If you can't fix it, don't make it more broken. If you can't help, don't leave another person worse off than they met you.

The new year offers hope. I see hope and endless possibilities... if you can work and walk towards it. Some people would doubt it based on how they are with the state in their head and all that's happening around them but everyone needs to see things through their own lens and do what's best for them.

It's the end of the year and I am excited about 2023. Happy new year in a bit...
