Don't pray instead pray.

"I believe we all understand better that Prayer is the act of communicating to our creator".

Prayer is also a way of asking God for forgiveness and healing during times of pain and hardships.

We pray to accomplish a mission ( maybe to win a contract ) or for protection against our enemy. We also pray to glorify the name of God for what he has done, what he is presently doing, and what we expect him to do in our life. ________________________

But let's be sincere to ourselves, they are some things that don't require prayer, praying in that situation is like abusing the power of God.

Don't get me wrong, am not saying you should not pray just that some things are not worth praying for.

For instance, Barcelona and Liverpool are having a match and you book a bet on Liverpool to win but unfortunately, Liverpool is losing, what will your instinct tell you?........... "PRAY" right.

My question is do you think your silent prayer is powerful enough to stop Barcelona who practiced daily and sacrificed so much for the match? Do you have an idea of how many fans out there praying for a win also or are people around the world doing the same things?

Sometimes when negating your prayers, don't you think it sounds childish. Do you think your prayer at that moment is superior?

Just as I said earlier, I'm not asking you not to pray, just that some things are not worth it instead you need to do what is right at that moment. I don't know if you're getting what am trying to say.

Another example; Let's say it is about to rain and you pray it does not rain because you did your laundry, Do you even know how many farmers need their land to be wet, did you know how hot it is in some rooms that they need cool weather or how thirty it is in some area that they need water. You better wise up and change the way you think about prayer.

The truth to be said, this act is mostly common to every one of us in one way or the other. Most especially in my country. Nigerian in the house correct me if am lying. It is funny in my country that we pray for NEPA (electricity provider) to forget to take light. How does that sound to you, funny right 🤓.

Do you want God to tell them to hold the light that one of his sons needs to press/iron his cloth after watching a movie? 😂🤣

A lot of these things are just prone to happen, you just need to work your way around. You should be able to know when to pray and when to take action. How do you think your prayers will hold the light?

What brought up this topic.

I was at home today after getting back home from training. A friend of mine who lives next to my house showed up, asking me if I saw the video of a Pastor he posted on his WhatsApp status. I said no. Then he explains that a pastor and his church members die as a result of a building collapse. I feel bad hearing that. I was like how did it happen?.

Then he further explains to me that the Pastor was the one who murder himself and the innocent church members. I said how on earth can someone kill himself and his members. He said ok listen, when they were in the church, worshiping and praising God. They all saw the church building collapsing but he asked them to wait if they believe in God and that God can do everything, and he will stop the building from falling. Although God can do and undo but somethings are not worth it. He said some manage to run out while some respect the pastor by staying and praying hard just as he commanded.

In a few minutes, the building collapsed completely and everyone in the building including the pastor dies instantly that is how the pastor murdered himself and the church members. I couldn't say anything I was left with my mouth opening.

Did you think what the pastor did was right, praying instead of funding is way out of the building?

There is a popular Yoruba proverb that says "When God is protecting you, you also need to protect yourself". You can't just go to a railway station and sit on the railway line while the train is coming, believing that God will protect you from the train attack.

The same reason why most African, countries are still underdeveloped and living in poverty is bcoz they believe praying solves everything in life. Some of them even turn into prayer warriors without having any source of income to feed their families. Imagine a lazy man who has nothing to eat, no work but sitting down at home with four kids, and his wife praying for God to send down food from his roof. Do you think God will answer his prayer, nobody will tell him to move out of his comfort zone when hunger dismantles his life.

I think this should be enough for you to understand my message. You should be able to know when to pray and when to take action to stop abusing the power of God.

Most importantly; Am sure you were worried about my topic. Don't mind me, I was only trying to get your attention. Prayer is always the key to success, pray but just make sure you're not preying on yourself by being ignorant thinking that all things are worth praying for without doing the needy.
