Hey everyone, how are you all doing? Are you having a great day and staying hydrated. I was just thinking of what to write, and this topic just popped into my head; I didn't even plan it, so I guess it is more of freewriting. I hope you enjoy it, let us start.
The topic for today is "Prayer."
We all have our own definitions of prayer, but let me give my own definition.
"Prayer" is an expression of thanks to God or a request for help from God.
This is the act of communicating with God through your mind or spoken words. Prayer is instant access to God.
In our daily lives, we communicate with our friends, families, and other individuals; this makes our relations with them grow deeper; the same can also be said about prayer.
When you give time to communicate with God, it helps deepen your relationship with him.
But the sad part is that most of us never really spend time with God; the times we are in are filled with so many distractions, and if you are not careful, you will forget God, but this shouldn't be the case.
Spending time with God should always be your first priority because he is your creator, and you shouldn't ignore him.
You may have a busy schedule but give some time to talk with him; for instance, imagine if you had died, would you wake up to do those activities, or have a busy schedule. Of course not, because you will not even wake up.
Prayer is not always about talking to God; it also allows us to hear from him, which is why it is communication, you talk to God, and he answers you.
When we pray, God guides us in our decision-making, comforts us when we are in pain, and shows his love to us in so many ways.
God loves us unconditionally; we see that every day.
If you visit the medical centers, you will see people paying thousands just for oxygen, but look at you, you don't need to pay for oxygen because he has already provided it for you.
So why can't you just take a minute or two to thank him for his good works? He doesn't need your money; he just needs you.
Even if God knows everything, we still need to pray and communicate with him; even the bible says, "Ask and you shall receive."
God knows our needs and wants, but he still wants us to ask him; it is only when you ask someone for something they give you, right?
"Seek, and you shall find" if you are looking for something, do you just stay until it gets to you, you search the whole area for it because you want to find it.
"Knock and the door shall be opened."Sometimes, we fail to see God as our father. Instead, we are scared of him, which is why most of us never seem to go to him. If your earthly father knows how to give you good gifts, what makes you think God won't give you better.
Ask God for help, seek His guidance, and knock on the doors he provides; the closer you are to him, the more you will hear his voice.
God created all of us, and his love is infinite, and prayer is his gift to us; through prayer, we can communicate and worship him.
When you are new to prayer, it is like learning to walk. Learning to walk may have been hard, but you eventually conquered it and started walking. The same is true for prayer.
You can ask God for anything because there is no big or small request for God; trust his loving character as the generous provider. We should always be at ease and filled with joy when we bring forth our request to him.
God wants to hear from you; this way, he can bless you abundantly.
Prayer helps in so many ways; for more understanding, let me list them out.
We make better decisions when we pray
Daily prayer boost our relations with God
Prayer makes God our first priority
Answered prayers are prayers prayed
Prayer transforms your heart
It boosts our mental and spiritual health
As you can see, prayer does a lot of things that you can't even imagine.
That is why you need to pray daily, even if it is just 5 minutes out of your day.
Give sometime out and dedicate it to creating a better relationship with your maker. A busy schedule is only busy because you are alive after all.
I hope with this article, you understand the importance of building a relationship with God through prayers.
