And they can add things like props, pillows, blanket, wrapping the baby etc. While adjusting the baby for the poses all work should be done very slowly and quietly otherwise the baby may wake up. Sometimes photographers do some multiple poses and for this they might need help of the parents or their assistant to hold the baby’s head or the baby’s head seem to be held up by their arms. Most of the time this session is done at clients’ house because sometimes a new mother may not feel like to leave her house. So, it’s a matter if consideration.
On the other hand, lifestyle newborn photography is more casual. It tends to capture some photos that are real life based in an artistic way. The main focus of this session is on the daily life of the infant and capturing some special moments. Especially, interactions with their family puts a great impact on this session . Most of the time this session is done with the mixture of posed and natural set-ups with the help of the family of the newborn. Photographers recommend that the baby should be of 2 or three months because this session doesn’t required a sleeping baby through the whole session and it will be easier for them to capture. This session includes cuddling with the mom or dad or with family members (even with the pet),feeding, changing clothes as they are the important moments to capture.

As they are infants, their body is unable to cope up with the temperature, so the temperature of the room is very important because the safety of the baby is the first priority, Moreover, the fabrics used in the photo session must be of good quality. While wrapping the baby , it must be done gently otherwise the baby may get hurt.
Props put a great impact on the photography session of a newborn. As the baby can’t do much posing, props should be chosen that are usual for the baby like fluffy blankets, baskets, baby-sized angel wings, headbands etc.
Different kinds of toys are also can be used during the session. They are mostly used in the lifestyle photography.
A mind-soothing music can play a vital role in the posed session because these relaxing music can help the baby keep sleeping at that time.
