Day one Almost a year ago today, I started a job I never thought I would love. I desperately need a job that time because I was pressured by the idea of my classmates moving on with their lives while I'm still at home. Don't get me wrong, I love being at home, taking care of my niece and doing some household chores. But I also wanted to be an aunt that spoils her niece with the toys and stuff that she wants. The first day at work is chaos for me. I never had any single idea that on that day, my journey starts. The first day ended and I have no idea where I would sleep that time. I wasn't able to look for an apartment yet. But a classmate saved me. She was God's answer. The next morning I made sure that I will be able to move into a boarding house. I'm glad that boarding house hunting was easy for me that time. Thanks to my boss, she helped me find one. Though the rent was higher than usual, I still grabbed the opportunity because it is just one-tumbling away from my workplace. Also, it is worth it because the place is decent, clean and peaceful.

It is a two-storey building with five rooms in each floor. In every room, there are ten beds, a toilet and sink. When I get there, the atmosphere was calm and quiet. The boarders were out. They stayed at their respective homes having online classes. The landlord lead me to a room on the second floor and I was told that I have one roomate. Eva Marie was my roomate. She works as a Visiting Instructor at the nearby university. She has been alone sleeping in that room for a week and she was glad that I came for she had a companion that time. Eva is kind, talkative and determined. When she got home from work, she would always share to me how her day went but our bond was short-lived. Eva got a call from Deped. She got a teaching item. She was very glad at that time. I saw it in her eyes and I witness how thankful she was to God. God really arranges and prepares things for us no matter how we complain that He is late in responding our prayers. This was evident in Eva's situation. She just worked as a Visiting Instructor for a week and she wasn't able to sign the 6-month contract yet. That was God, telling her that she is not for that place. He is up to something bigger for Eva. Eva, then, hurried to go home and arranges things and papers that she would need for yhe new job. She was happy. I was happy for her too because for the three days that we've been roomates, I saw how she wants that job. I was happy because she doesn't have to work away from home from that time on. She achieved her dream on that day and I'm happy to witness her victory. I was sad too because I will be left alone. Sleeping alone in one of the room of the two- storey building. My first night sleeping alone was fine as I can remember. I didn't wake up in middle of night and I didn't have scary encounter. The next morning one of the helpers of our landlord asked me if I slept alone. : I said '*yes*' confidently. : *'She looks boyish'*. The other helper commented as I walked passed them towards the gate.
