First School Day at the Uni
August 15, 2022
What a Monday friends! It's jam-packed. Activities, Students, and Workloads. All of them. My hands are full.
Today's the first day of classes. Technically, not the first day of classes but the first day when most of the students are in the university. They were welcomed earlier and they were tasked to attend orientation programs hosted by the university and their respective departments.
I was still riding on the trike when the driver told me that it is somehow hard to access where the university is. From the main gate, there is a long line of students waiting to enter the university's premises. There are three gates but I don't know if the same thing happened to the two gates.
Today's the first day of the implementation of the limited face-to-face classes since the pandemic. Well, summer classes were also face-to-face. But this one is different, there are a bunch of students. Every one of them is excited. Wearing their best outfits, they walked gracefully through the campus corridors. Ahh, it was nostalgic. It reminded me of the time when I was a student.
My days at the Uni were probably one of the best days of my life. There's an array of opportunities and you will be introduced to a whole new world. It's like you entered the Uni as a shy one and then you'll come out fully grown. The process can be likened to that of the butterfly.
There is so much to learn and so much to experience while we are at the university. It's up to us to explore. We have to make the most of our stay there and make sure every day counts.
My brother is a freshie. I'm excited for him and nervous too. It's his first time being away from himself and living on his own. I'm constantly checking on him asking if he's fine. My mom too visited us and joined us for lunch today. Like me, she's also checking on my brother wondering if he would be fine when he is alone. lol.
The staff also organized a mini surprise celebration for the university president her birthday was on Saturday. A pre-birthday celeb was organised on Friday too but the staff figured out that it would be nice to have the students too in the celebration. It's her last birthday as a university president.
They were wearing their ASEAN costumes to celebrate the 55th ASEAN's founding anniversary.
That's about it, friends.
Thanks for your time.
Until the next read!
