Merry Christmas my friends! 2021 is close to its end but life never fails to stir our emotions just by dropping bombs here and there. Just this monday, the September 2021 LET results were out and I can't help but share with my classmate's victory as they saw their names on the list. It was the same day today when I passed the LET too. Two years ago but still I can remember how I learned that I passed. Apparently, it was our neighbor who first learned about the news. I'm so elated that night and I can't thank God enough because finally, the thorns and needles pressed on my heart would now be thrown away. I was able to breathe a sigh of relief.
In another story, Christmas is here already. Just this evening, people of different ages are gathered to witness the formal lighting ceremony of the giant christmas tree. This has been a yearly tradition of the municipality and this serves as an activity too that is considered as the highlight of their town fiesta.
Looks like the pandemic is over right? Two hours before this photo is taken, this plaze is full of people mostly teenagers. There were even moms bringing with them their kids. There were also less than a year old babies being carried by their daddies.
I know we would easily claim that we are already fully-vaccinated but I can't imagine the stress and disappointment that the frontliners would feel upon seeing this. They have been on duty whole day and even exceeds until 9 in the evening just to get all the people vaccinated. But some aren't taking it seriously. They would just take it so they would have something to show when they want to travel.
I have nothing but concern. As much as possible let us enjoy but not take risks. We can never be too lousy and unprotective of ourselves. We should remain alert and on guard on our own health.
Anyhow, these are some of the sights to behold when you visit the plaza.
Before the pandemic, every christmas, this is a fun place to be. With all the lights, kids would really just run around in excitement. There used to be live bands performing of the stage facing the plaza. You hungry? No worries! There are variety of food stalls you can choose from.
Anyhow, we are hoping that people would be smarter and more vigilant we can enjoy and have fun while following protocols.
That ends my December 1st story. What is yours?
Have a Merry Christmas! We have to keep ourselves safe but try to enjoy the season, I think we all need a bit of a "normality" especially at this time of the year.
