Day Eleven: Talk About Your Siblings
May 24, 2022
Good day read-friends! I'm now on the eleventh day of the 30 - day challenge firstly initiated by @ellehcim! So far, I'm enjoying it but I'm afraid that I will be dependent on this. I might have a hard time thinking of a topic again if I'm done with this challenge. But even so, I will still make the most of this opportunity and enjoy writing without thinking too much about what to write.
Day Eleven is for Siblings. I got two. One elder sister and a younger brother. My sister is almost two years older than me. While my brother is six years younger than me.
I thought I would be the youngest but God still blessed us with a brother who has a heart like a sister. My mom was thirty-three when she gave birth to my brother. It was an answered prayer as my dad longs for a son who can accompany him to the farm on school days. He longs for a buddy that will, later on, take care of his assets. Charot.
But my brother is not that manly kind of brother. He is feminine. He likes to be with girls even when he was still younger. He walks like a girl too. But that doesn't hinder him from being a good son. He is very dependable when it comes to household chores. Except when you ask him to buy something as he often forgets easily. He is also a very good nanny to his niece.
What I like about him is that he doesn't dress like a girl. He looks like a man still and I'm glad about that. The last thing I want is for him to get bullied or to be taken advantage of.
My father doesn't disown him. I think he has already accepted him through the years. There are times that he would talk about how dismayed he is for not having someone to look after the farm. But still, he loves him anyway. It's just normal. I think most parents are somehow dismayed as they set expectations for their children.
My sister is the most talented of the three of us. She knows how to play the keyboard, guitar, ukulele and drums. She also has hands for art. She was almost a cum laude in BSEd Biology. But she is a fool when it comes to love.
She doesn't guard her heart well that she lets one person take her for granted when she could have met someone better.
She loves adventure, preferably going on beach trips with her friends or classmates. She is into motorcycles, big houses and cars too.
I have tried convincing her to write here but to no avail. She thinks that she has no talent for writing. What? Well. I pray that one day her heart and spirit would summon her to write here. Charot.
They are my siblings. The two are best friends as my sister benefits from asking him to do some errands for her. But she is also caring for him. Back when she still has a job, she would give us an allowance. She is generous when she has something to share.
That's about it. Until the next read!
Thank you.
I like the way you talk about your siblings, who respect and love each other. Your brother should be accepted as he is and no one should look down on him because of his condition or his appearance.
I would like to follow this challenge too.
