In the normal course of American society, parents got separated. But they did not realize the great loss of the little boy. The lonely boy, deprived of the affection of his parents had to spend the whole day lonely. He doesn't want to spend his time alone. Can't even make friendship with anyone. Suddenly one day the boy detached from reality and floated in the world of fantasy. He finds an imaginary friend like himself. All the words of laughter-cry and happiness-sorrow go he shares with him. That's how the boy survives with a sigh. But seeing him gossiping alone, everybody though the boy got mad!

The little boy I've talked about for so long,, is none other than Steven Spielberg, an honored Hollywood filmmaker. Spielberg has made many box-office hits including Jurassic Park , everyone knows that news. But apart from this, he also wanted to make a picture of this incident of his childhood. One day during the shooting, Spielberg shared the idea with scriptwriter Melissa Mathison. Melissa wrote a script a few weeks later. Spielberg cut it a bit and made it the best fiction movie of all time, E T: The Extra Terrestrial . He put a little alien in the movie as his imaginary friend.

Spielberg's childhood's shadow can be seen in the ET movie as Elliott. Elliott lives with his family in a suburb of California, USA. He can't make friendship with anyone. Although he has an older brother and a younger sister, though he stays alone all day. An incredible thing happened on such a sad day. A group of botanist aliens went into a forest, in California to collect samples of a tree. But the little alien accidentally dropped out of the team. Turning around, he finally took refuge in the toolshed behind the Elliott's house.

Elliott was the first to discover the little alien. At first he was terrified when he saw the strange looking animal. However, it does not take long for the two to become deep friends. Elliott named it ET. Despite many attempts to hide it, Elliott's brother Michael and sister Greti soon found out about it. They started hiding from everyone in the house. Meanwhile, government spies were also looking for the little alien like a leech. After many attempts, the alien's appearance news got busted. Detectives began raiding Elliott's home.

In the meantime, Elliott became very ill. ET uses one of his inner miraculous powers to heal him. Now the only way to save ET,is to get him into his spacecraft. Elliott, Michael and Gracie desperately try to save the friend and get him to the spacecraft. But what can be done with the help of a bunch of police and detectives? To know the answer, you can take a look at this movie full of adventure and thrill. This is the best science fiction movie of all time in the audience survey. It won four Oscars in 1982. In addition, it holds numerous other awards, including the Golden Globe.
