I am a guy and cheating on my wife never crossed my mind. But I still see other guy friends that are not being faithful to their partners. And it makes me wonder, how they'd got the balls to such a thing? If you're thinking that only men do this, you are wrong. I also know some 'good girls' who did the same thing. But why?
I am not an expert nor studied the behaviors of individuals. I am just talking as a random person who has seen, heard a lot.
Finding out that your partner cheated you can be the end of the world for you. You might get angry, you may lose your sanity. Others try to hurt themselves. But one common thing is, we will definitely ask why.
Possible Reason Why You Have Been Cheated
Discontentment. Being content with what you have is the ultimate state of being happy. If you are no longer happy with your partner, the chances of finding someone to make you happy is most likely will cross your mind. But if this is the case, is it not better just to be honest? Be brave to tell her that you aren't happy anymore?
Anger. If you have been cheated twice or more than that by the same person, you might consider doing the same out of anger. Your primary goal is to get revenge. To get even.
Lack of communication. Let's be real here. Some of us will fall easily to the person we spend our time with most. That is not a question at all. The more you talk to someone, you somehow feel this connection and started to build a deeper relationship. It is an undeniable fact.
Unmet needs. For husband out there, when was the last time you eat her pie? When was the last time you and your wife actually did it and enjoyed it? Unmet needs of a husband can lead to infidelity. The same goes for wife.
Temptation. Remember that the person you love is still a human and has weaknesses. Some fall into traps given by aggressive predators.
Excess baggage. Maybe your partner has a dark secret. Perhaps your partner experienced something wrong in his past that interfere with him becoming the faithful partner you ever wanted.
Feeling neglected. All of us wants to be seen or recognized by our partner. If he doesn't feel the attention he wanted, he might look for it outside your relationship.
There are still a lot of things to consider why you have been cheated on. But the problem is not you. It is okay to question yourself once that is normal. All relationships are going through tough times and arguments can not be avoided. But still cheating is not the answer. If you think something is wrong with you or with your relationship, then talk to your partner. Don't look outside your build relationship for answers because you won't find one.
I believe that cheating is a choice. It is not something that just happens overnight or like a rabbit that just popped out of the hat. Whatever the reason is, it is not fair to cheat.
