Croissants with jam
Ingredients
Testo:
2 dl milk
1-2 dl of water
10 g yeast
1/2 dl oil
1 egg
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon salt
400-450 g of flour
Other:
50 g butter
1 egg yolk
jam of your choice
Preparation
Pour lukewarm water over the yeast and sugar and let it rise. Beat eggs with oil and mix. Add the leftover yeast and lukewarm milk to the mixture and mix.
Pour the flour gradually several times and knead a smooth dough. Leave in a warm place to grow well. Divide the dough into 8 parts.
Thin each part to the size of a shallow plate 7, coat with butter, place on top of the last one, leave it ungreased. Sprinkle with flour and leave for 10 minutes for the dough to rest.
Thin everything together in a circle. About 0.5 cm thick, cut into 12 pieces for larger or 16 pieces. For smaller croissants: Fill with sweet or salty filling if desired. Fold the rolls and press a little dough around the filling so that it does not leak out during baking. Place the croissants in a tray covered with paper or grease with oil with whipped cream to allow room to rise during baking.
Coat with beaten egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Leave on warm to rise further. Preheat the oven to 200, then place the baking tray in a warm oven and bake finely until golden. Sprinkle the sweets with powdered sugar.
