1. Story/Plot

Go Back Couple sweetly narrates how giving love a second chance can happen only when people in a relationship are willing to forgive and to communicate. It is a story wherein you'd be given a chance na bumalik sa nakaraan at baguhin or itama yung decisions mo before, also to enjoy once again that part of your life na you might not be able to enjoy because you took it for granted. Pag napanood mo to, you'll be reminded that life is short, so make the most out of it, you'll appreciate those times when you were younger, being to able to do things different. Who doesn't want to go back in time?

Another thing I loved about the concept of the story is how the writers showcase the struggles and own sides ng characters. At first you'll think Ban Do took for granted Jin Joo, how bad he was as a husband, how he was as a man, how Jin Joo suffered and sacrificed for their family. But as the series goes, the series shows the other side of the story, how Ban Do lived just to support Jin Joo and their son, how he suffered as well as a person just to provide and be a great man, that he as well suffered with Jin Joo by showing that he's living okay but behind is him, broken in pieces. You'll see how life always has a different side of the coin, it is never just what we see and feel, but there is always a different angle on life.

I really liked how at the very end of each episodes (epilogue) as the characters change their past lives, in each ending what really happened that time will be shown, the first moment they have lived that day. Those happy moments that they had forgotten.

2. Very Relatable, Introspective Narrative

Each character's own story has a slice of it in real life. From being a Father, a Mother, a Son/Daughter and a Friend!! Definitely relatable. In the process of understanding each character's struggles, you'll be able to see things na hindi mo makikita by your own perspective unless ikaw yung nasa position nila.

3. Casting/Characters

From lead roles to supporting roles, each character puts a good spice sa story. The supporting roles were very funny at the same time the plot twists of what will happen to them at the end. I really liked how the writer made the supporting roles very interesting. Sana lang mas nastretch pa yung story ni Bo Reum at Jae Woo. Haha then story ni Dok Jae.

4. This series shows how very important communication is on our daily lives.

To be able to understand and to be able to express ones feelings, it needs proper communication. Dito makikita at marerealize mo kung gaano ka-komplikado ang lahat ng bagay just because two person miscommunicated ending up seperated without knowing that other person's perspective and situation.

5. This series exhibits different kinds of Love, different kinds of Relationship.

From a Father/Mother's love to Daughter/Son's love, from your First love to your current love. Vice versa. It nudges you to check on your relationship to your loved ones if you have been nurturing the blessings that you receive for having them.

Appreciate every person around you.

6. It would make you sad and laugh at the same time while reality is being slapped in your face. This series is an EYE OPENER.

Seeing the struggle of a mother and a father which we might not see daily in our lives but really happens in reality, would really make you realize how hard it might be for our parents/loved one just to make us happy and comfortable in life when in the process, they are sacrificing as much for us. If it doesnt hit u, you're not human.

It'll make you appreciate your time being with your mother and father. It'll make you understand why our parents did this and that.

It'll make you love your family all the more.

7. Its Official Soundtracks are so damn good!

As you watch the whole series, each soundtrack played per scene has feels on it, which will make you feel every sequence and the character's story much more.

8. Goblin and Descendants of the Sun series reference/crossover.

See for yourself. Lol

Pros: Less cheesy/fairytale-ish, pure realistic concept, walang patay moments, supporting roles own story are interesting as well.

Downside: 12 Episodes, limited-time.

Imdb: 8.1/10

My rating: 9.5/10

Ending Thoughts

I have only watched less than 6 Korean dramas, I'm not really a fan of it but this series is really recommendable!! The reason I watched this one is because I am actually really fond of watching films/series that is about time/time-traveling. This series is worth it! If you are looking for Drama, Romance, Comedy, Slice of life and has plenty of life lessons in it. Make sure to watch this one. With all that said, even if you are into Korean Dramas or not, this series is something you might be able to like. 100%

All of these coming from a young single guy who's not a fan of Kdramas. You better believe that this is something different. ☺️

Forgive me if kalat kalat yung thoughts nitong post, I cant even really compose haha I just really want to commend this series. Kudos to the writer of this drama!!
