Howdy guys? It's almost the end of the week, the fourth day of November today and I have been looking into crypto exchanges today with a sad and happy heart. First, happy because Hive had pumped passing 1$ in value but also sad because it won't go up to the amount I had set for selling. I have a few Hive available as I powered down a week ago. Powering down in Hive requires 13 weeks, just saying.
Also, the other coins that I am holding are not in good shape but they are for long-term holding though so that's okay.
As for today, I decided to check on the application that I have started using for more than a week because it states it is going to mine bitcoin. Introducing CryptoTab!
An online friend of mine sent a message about this browser. I know of Brave and I had earned some BAT from using it but this time, I was quite interested in the said browser as Matti has been asking for a lot of videos that I have kept my browser open for a long time so he could watch his shows. I know, I know, I should have limited his screen time but he is not really focusing on the monitor, he would just let the video play and he walks away from the screen. He just wants the music to play while he does his thing so I just leave it that way.
So, since I was curious, I decided to download the browser. It didn't take a lot of time to download the app. Launching, it is very similar to Chrome I must say.
This icon has all the settings and information about the mining process. It manages the mining process, the invite new users to the mining network as well, this is where to keep track of earnings, and withdrawals.
There's a tutorial at the first launch which was helpful because the mining tab shows several information about this and that. Going through the tutorial was a good choice. It has five tips, first was the current balance which updates every 10 minutes, that's only an approximate time though.
Then the second one was the mining speed. It was off as its current status so I turned it on.
Mining requires energy and so it was mentioned that I may see an increase in the electric bill and battery life shortage too! My computer is always plugged into the wall so I have no issues, it is also on almost 24/7 so we will see what happens and what its effects are.
The third one showed the affiliate link to which will allow users to also earn from referrals up to level 10. I have attached here my referral link in case you want to try mining Bitcoin too! Of course, we want to earn more BTC especially that it has reached its new ATH this year!
The fourth tip is the navigation to the menu in the side panel where it has all the options on withdrawals and other things. Here goes the login too
The last tip shows the mining network, just related to the affiliate link though it counts the number of people who had signed up under the referral link.
There's an option to multiple the mining speed and although I am not sure if there's any negative effect to that in my computer hardware, I decided to activate it.
The Cloud.Boost feature allows you to multiply your income using the same hardware. To ensure efficient work, Cloud.Boost utilizes the power of CryptoTab cloud services — mine up to 15x faster without any performance issues! To activate Cloud.Boost, tap the button, and choose one of the subscription plans available.
I turned on my extreme cooling feature in my Lenovo Nerve Sense for that. But I found that there's a price for this boost so I decided to ditch that out instead.
Is it worth setting as the default browser?
There's a notification that the mining speed is many times higher when the browser window is active. It is therefore recommended to use the browser for everyday needs like website surfing, watching videos, and more.
I made it my default browser and I tried using it for a week. With this, I signed up using my Google account. I am very dependent on my Google Chrome for certain websites as it has remembered my passwords and other information in it so it was quite a challenge moving from Chrome to CryptoTab but for the sake of mining bitcoin, I did all that.
How was the earning after a week?
I must admit, there were days when I didn't use the browser. I was using it consecutively when I noticed a drastic issue with my laptop's performance. My laptop is a Lenovo legion Y520, I have had this for more than four years already and it is a fast one, a gaming laptop in fact with an upgraded RAM of 12GB.
So, after a week of intermittent usage, I ended with this:
Considering that I have to use my laptop for editing videos with Adobe Premiere or Da Vinci Resolve, editing photos with Adobe Photoshop, and opening up several browsers which are all memory-eating apps, I must say I have to discontinue using this. I can't work with a slow laptop.
Perhaps I can try it on my mobile too and see if it's a different experience. That's it. Anyone had used this browser so far? How was it?

Thank you for your honesty. I was wondering about this, but unless is okay on a mobile device I shall pass. Hope you get your Hive selling price. I started there finally, and have been getting to grips with it, seems fun but easy to eat up the resources lol
