One of the major issues I see in terms of making money online by working from home is not being able to decide on what kind of work you should be doing. There are a lot of ways to work from home and make money, for instance doing surveys, working on paid-to-post sites, micro job sites, publishing articles, etc. However, not many people, especially those who have just started, realize that these are not the best methods to generate income. These are low-paying jobs. There is no point in working for one hour to earn just 20-30 cents. You need to look for high-paying jobs, you can find high-paying jobs only on freelancing sites. However, the problem with freelancing sites is you need to be highly skilled, not average skills but professional skills. For example, programming, graphic designing skills, etc. If you do not have these skills, and you still want to work from home, you should enroll in professional courses. You can find a lot of short-term courses that you can even attend for free and build your skills so that you can earn better. You also need to understand that the freelance marketplace is very competitive and you will have to struggle.

Scams are Common

A lot of people get scaammed online for just one reason, they are greedy and want to take a shortcut road to success, therefore, they end up investing in High Yield Investment programs, Ponzi schemes, or Pyramid schemes. Even though some people have been paid by these programs in the beginning these are scam programs that ultimately vanish without paying the investors. You can easily recognize these scam programs. If any program is offering unrealistic returns on your investment if you are being offered high returns in a short time if they don't tell you what they are doing (where they are putting your money) in order to pay you a return on your investment, it is an obvious scam. If you want to invest, invest in something that is legit, for instance, you can buy penny stocks from Robinhood, webull or etoro, or invest in cryptocurrency, or invest in your own business. If you were scammed by a so-called earning site (some sites offer you jobs but they run away without paying you), you need to remember one thing, work on a legit site or platform, freelancing sites for example. If you do not have skills take your time to build skills.

I was tricked to join a couple of scam sites but I soon understood that these sites were scam sites, therefore, I did not even lose a penny. One of the reasons why I have not lost any money on scam sites is because I started working by working on a freelance site. I generated my first online income by working on upwork job. After work, I started working on youtube, a blog, and an android app. I stopped working on youtube but continued with the blog and app, I later sold the app to recover my investment. In my observation, one of the primary reasons why people are scammed online is because they are greedy, and want to take a shortcut to success. Therefore, they are attracted to programs that promise them quick money, programs that promise them to make a lot of money. The moment you stop being greedy and never try to take the shortcut road to success, you will stop being scammed. I was, of course, tricked to join a few sites that turned out to be scams, however, I never put my time, effort, and money on those sites, therefore, I was not actually scammed on those sites.

You are Required to Be Highly Skilled

Skill is the most important thing required to start as a freelancer and make money as a freelancer. You need skills. Without skills, you can't make money as a freelancer. I have been working as a freelancer for more than 2 years and I make a good income as a freelancer from Upwork. Here, I am sharing my own experience. I hear a lot of people saying that they have been rejected multiple times on Upwork. Upwork is very selective when it comes to accepting freelancers. If you are applying just as a writer, it is very likely that you will be rejected. They are no longer accepting freelancers with general skills. If you want to get started on Upwork, you need to have specialized skills such as programming, web designing, video editing, animation, etc. Graphic designing is considered a good skill to make money on freelancer sites, but this is a very saturated niche. There is a lot of competition, therefore in order to survive this competition, you will also have to offer extra services, for instance, video making, social media marketing, along with graphic designing. if you have multiple skills you have a good chance of becoming successful.
