Well, affiliate marketing is a free method, you don't have to pay money to join an affiliate program, and you can also find affiliate networks that allow you to do affiliate marketing without the requirement of a website, and you can sell affiliate products through social sites. Well, just because you can do affiliate marketing without having a website means you should actually do affiliate marketing without the need for a website. Just because there are social sites where you can post your affiliate links to generate sales means you can actually generate sales just by promoting your links on social sites. The best way to do affiliate marketing is by creating a website, finding the right affiliate products to sell, and developing content around the products. Let's say you want to sell android phones from Amazon. Find five android products on Amazon, write 200 words review for each of the products and publish the article on your website.

Even though I can directly post affiliate links on my social pages (facebook, twitter, pinterest, etc.), I normally don't post affiliate links on my social pages. If you have a good product, if you promote your product listing through ads, you can surely generate sales on your products. I have a blog that receives moderate traffic, I have promoted businesses and products and made money from these activities. These are definitely good ways to make money on social media.

The Best Social Media Platforms for Affiliate Marketing

Based on my experience, I believe there is no such thing as the best social media platform to promote affiliate products. Affiliate sales do not alone depend on the platform used for selling, there are a lot of factors involved, for example, how you are selling is more important than which platform you are using. You can of course use Instagram and Tiktok to sell affiliate products, but these platforms do not give much leverage when it comes to sharing links like Twitter and Facebook. Just because you have posted a video about a product and shared an affiliate link on TikTok does not mean you will be able to sell a product. You need a proper audience, you need to share only the products that your audience will find interesting. A lot of people use TikTok for entertainment, they might not be interested in checking the product. However, I am not trying to discourage people who want to try affiliate marketing through social media platforms.

I don't claim to have made a lot of money through affiliate marketing, however, I have some experience with affiliate marketing as I have successfully sold a few Amazon products and made money from affiliate marketing. How did I sell Amazon products?

Let me explain, you promote affiliate products from xyz network and also from the Amazon network. Which product do you think people will buy? Well, they will choose to buy from Amazon instead of a store that they have never heard of. Therefore, when you decide to do affiliate marketing, you should choose an affiliate network wisely. Secondly, you should choose the right product. You will earn more commission by selling a $1000 iPhone compared to a $20 T-shirt, but this does not mean you should promote the iPhone instead of a T-shirt. The choice of product should depend on the kind of audience you have on the platform you are using for promoting a product. For example, if you are promoting on your blog and if your blog is mostly gamers, they would never take interest in buying kitchenware.
