In front of him he had several participants, they were in a group of about 20 people, everyone was afraid, they were dressed in costumes blue because they belonged to the blue team and they all had a number that identified them.

It was quite strange to call each of the companions by a number, instead of calling him by a name.

This was already the third game in which they were participating. The prize was one million and this million was of vital importance to him, his family and all the people in the village.

With this million they would be able to build the water pumps that are sorely needed they did, to bring health and a great improvement in the quality of life to the people of the village.

A village that suffered the shortcomings of being a godforsaken place in the midst of poverty.

But now he had had the opportunity to participate in this game.

The television station had selected him and they had sent him to that remote village to participate. The program was giving him the opportunity for his culture and all his people to be known to the world, and he lost or won this was the opportunity to be able to receive support, make yourself known.

And now he was here, he had already passed two tests and this was the third. The glass bridge. Before him was a bridge with crystals and two paths, each of the paths had fragments or segments in which the crystals were more fragile and more likely to fall.

Obviously this game was prepared and only the organizers knew the position of the crystals that would not really fall. The idea was that each of the participants would put a foot on the crystals and
he managed to inch his way to the other side.

Any participant who stepped on a glass that was weak or false, would simply fall to the bottom of the bridge where there were some mattresses and inflatable materials to withstand the fall, and that they would not get hurt, but immediately, they would be disqualified from the contest and could not continue. participating.

So he would lose that million that was so important to his village.

The participant with the number 47 advanced and managed to jump to the first step. Next, those behind all jumped in immediately, our contestant staying behind waiting, waiting to take the first step. He knew that the value of the first step consisted precisely in having a lot of will and courage, because he was risking the entire future of his village.

So the smart thing he did was let other people make the first move. He was smart because little by little they were eliminated, until in the end there were two people left, the partner with number 33 and him, who had number 25.

He simply waited for the 33rd to try to make the breakthrough. He motivated him, he told him: "Hey, advance as far as you can, you can achieve it." The intention within him was only to see if the last missing step or rung was false, and thus he could win.

But the partner from number 33 also told him: "no, but you give it first, you are braver than me", and the clock kept ticking, time happened, and for this type of game there was a set time.

When the score was almost a second away, our friend number 25 decided to have the courage to take the first step and made it to the last rung, thus winning the millionth prize and proving that the value of the first step It makes you feel proud and it can take you to the future, to improvement, to get out of a comfort zone in which you felt safe and now you are facing a new possibility that definitely makes you improve.

Our friend with the number 25 managed to be the winner of this million, thus giving happiness, water and balance to his entire village, who, upon seeing the event on live television, applauded him and were very happy because they knew that now their quality of life was going to improve remarkably.

They received him in the town as the hero.

This has been the message and the story that I have made today for the "talent meeting" hosted by angelica7 (at hive) and that leaves us with a great message, about the importance of the value of the first step, when it is necessary to do it and what can represent for us.

In this case, the importance it had for this fictional character that I have taken as inspiration, based on the series "the squid game" and its famous glass bridge, which motivated me to create a story taking this premise of the "value of the first step ".

Never be afraid to take the first step, keep going and look to the future.

Surely when they do they will be able to say that they have enjoyed it.
