The Lemark bird (continuation of the ghost of the other ghost woman)
his is the continuation of the story of the ghost of the other woman, where in the previous chapter our goblin had arrived at a market looking for the ghost of the woman and in this episode, we are going to see what is next door. I hope you enjoy it.
This story has a small nod to my friend Ervin, who liked the previous part of the story and as a thank you for his support, I decided to honor him by associating his alias symbolically with a creature from this story.
Here you find the 1st part, where all begins.
The market was a very crowded place with several trees around, let's say about 15 or 20trees, huge constructions that were houses that pointed towards the sky, these houses were all made of a wood that was quite special, a cross of a tree with a metal of titanite, which was the best-known and strongest material in this world.
The market square was covered by huge boulders of a solid material like rock, which was natural, in reality, it was polished rock by dwarfs and on the market you could hear all the noise.
The stand where the birds were sold was a small house, quite improvised, because the stand had to be removed every day when nightfall fell since this was a place that was not safe, there were many thugs and many metal traffickers who circulated this way at night so it was not a safe place for
trade at this time.
Our goblin asked the human ent owner to call the woman:
Hey!, bring me the ghost woman! I want to talk to her.
And why do you want to talk to her? she is very busy at the moment.
She said (The Ent).
And the goblin frowning the sign hit him a scream:
hey you ghost woman come here!.
The woman floating over the air approached slowly and said:
yes sir what do you want?.
The goblin immediately made him know that he was looking for a Lemark bird. Of the species these are quite peculiar birds, they are birds of color completely white, blue, and red, and their crest is dominated by some feathers that measure half a meter in white color, the rest of its body is made of metal parts in the colors named.
They are mechanical and cybernetic birds that for unknown reasons were created in nature. The ancient legend says or speaks that these birds were a spell that came out badly, on the part of a powerful sorcerer named Erwin. But there is nothing certain about it.
Then our goblin was looking for a bird of this type.
The woman told him:
But this is a very exotic bird, that is very difficult to find and at this time we do not have it. Anyway, let me check the inventory.
The woman took a great book a meter wide by a meter long and opened it, a heavy book, that threw a lot of dust, and butterflies began to come out when opening it.
Looking among the notes she could realize that the last time someone bought a bird of this type was two months ago, and it was someone who lived in a very far community from here, 12 hours away, someone known as "Traster", was a stone giant who came to request the bird as an assistant for some experiments that he was doing.
The woman gave this information to our goblin, and the goblin frowned and said he asked him if this type of stone golem had not come accompanied by a ghost.
The ghost seemed to blush and became very nervous at the moment. it seemed that she was involved in that matter or knew something about it, but she said:
no! no! no! no! no! he came alone he was not accompanied by anyone. Made the purchase, paid a thousand coins of mithril that this bird cost, put it in an endless cage (this is a special artillery that allows storing any amount of animals in a temporary space), and took it in his cart.
Our goblin frowned and extended his hand, giving the ghost a circular object in the shape of a coin that had his face engraved on it.
He said:
This is a compass that will allow you to know at all times where I am. Please if you come to know something about this golem place the compass in front of you and immediately it will tell you where I am. It will appear on the ground written for a few seconds, the necessary time so that you know it. I need to find this person and I need to acquire this bird. It is very important to me.
In the end, the ghost woman asked her why that strange bird would be necessary, but the goblin did not want to give more explanations, and without more, he opened his path through the whole bustle of the square, where all the small heads of the goblins and merchants were offering all kind of stuff.
(will continue only when I have inspiration to write)
