Mary was an 18-year-old girl who lived in the eastern part of Caracas, in an affluent area called Prados del Este, in a well-to-do home. One day, while shopping at a nearby mall, she was browsing through some designer dresses in one of those stores that people with money usually visit, when a very handsome man approached her. He was tall, muscular, and dressed in a very peculiar way. He was wearing very elegant clothes, a tuxedo that looked like a smoking jacket, a top hat, and a very elegant cane with a dragon head on its handle, a figure that, if you ask me, looked more like a demon.
Mary couldn't help but take her eyes off him and start fantasizing about adventure and getting to know him. The man seemed to notice the noticeable interest Mary had in him, and he approached her and said, "Hello, Mary, good morning. How are you? You like those clothes, don't you?".
Mary was petrified when she heard that this man knew her name and immediately said, "Excuse me, but I don't know you. How do you know my name?". The man said, "I'm John, and I know that you don't know me, but I know you. I know everything about you and your life".
Mary took a step back and immediately began to feel nervous and worried because it's not normal for someone to approach you and suddenly say these things and know everything about you, as it has the common characteristics of a stalker.
The man, after a while of talking, said, "Look, I'm the devil. I can grant you all the power and everything you want." Mary was very amazed by this and asked, "But what do I have to do in return to have all the power and everything you offer me?".
John said, "Well, in return, I'll only ask you to be my girlfriend and do small mischief for me." Mary, after doubting many times, decides to accept the deal proposed by the devil and begins her new phase.
The first thing she does is find a little dog that was in the mall's parking lot, and the first thing Mary does is kick it. When she kicked it, she said, "Happy day, daddy," remembering John as her daddy, her boyfriend. And so Mary began to do mischief left and right. Later, when she was arriving home, she met a boy, one of the neighbors' children, who was playing with a basketball in the street. Mary grabbed the ball and threw it down a ravine so that he would lose the ball and said, "Happy day, daddy". And so she kept doing small misdeeds and obtaining more and more power until she began to enjoy all these misdeeds. She no longer did it just for power because she began to feel very famous on social media. People looked for her, she had many more friends, she had a lot more money. The situation began to change her drastically, and she began to enjoy all this that she did with these misdeeds, but it didn't do her any good because over time she became consumed with doing all these things, and her performance in her personal life with her family, friends, and studies fell significantly.
So she began to think that she should stop being the devil's girlfriend, but now she had started a vicious and malignant circle from which she could not get rid of. What do you think will happen to Mary in the future?
