Chimera or reality?, you need to be careful!.
And now I have a very interesting word: Chimera. From Latin chimaera and this from Greek. ciapa chimaira. The first meaning is feminine, in classical mythology it is an imaginary monster that throws flames, vomits flames and had the head of a lion, the belly of a goat and the tail of a dragon. It is also what is proposed to the imagination as possible or true without being so. In the field of biology, it is an organism that results from the union of cells that are genetically different and that come from different zygotes. And colloquially a quarrel, a fight or contention.
All these meanings are based on the dictionary of the Spanish Royal Academy.
At the popular level, it is thought that the chimera. Well, it has its origins in Greek mythology, this is well known. And uh, it is believed that the first is the representation of evil or ambition. So this is something that is very common. As an additional fact, the chimera in Greek mythology was defeated by Bellerophon riding the famous winged horse Pegasus.
The chimera, moreover, is an element that is always present in fantastic stories and also in tabletop role-playing games. And from video games we can also see, on many occasions, the presence of this popular animal. I also remember quite accurately that chimera was the name of a virus used in a Resident Evil video game.
So, does this mythical being exist? Right, what is amazing about this kind of projection?, that we create to reflect our dreams, it is an illusion where the human being tries to project all dreams and everything he wants to create, right? So, huh? For example, a chimera could easily be made, huh? Someone's dream of wanting to fly, someone who wants to have wings and be able to fly. This can be represented by saying that it is a chimera, right? So there is a rather thin line between what is a chimera and reality, because a very different thing is power and another is having an ambition to achieve something concrete.
For example, set the goal of losing 20 kg in 6 months. This is real. It is something that is very tangible and achievable. And another very different thing would be a chimera: trying to lose those 20 kg of weight in a single month. Which would immediately become a very unrealizable dream,
So we must be very clear about being rational to be able to differentiate what is a chimera from a reality, always trying to be as objective as possible and as neutral as possible. In order not to live unrealizable dreams or live solely on these chimeras that can really cause us great harm, because the mere fact of imagining or pretending to want a chimera to come true and after so many attempts not being able to achieve it, can lead to the person to a high level of frustration and feel very bad, and sometimes, because this can lead to very destructive behaviors such as depression and suicide.
So, it is very important to be clear about the difference between a chimera and reality, and for this, if you are very confused, I always recommend that the most prudent thing to do is to seek professional help or talk to your friends and the people who are close to you. you.
